M3) Danny Diamond vs. Thomas Barnez Empty
PostSubject: Re: M3) Danny Diamond vs. Thomas Barnez   M3) Danny Diamond vs. Thomas Barnez EmptyTue Jul 07, 2015 2:52 am

The upcoming battle will be between two men who have faced off only one solitary time in the past, almost a year ago, when Thomas was the General Manager of XWA and Danny was the World Heavyweight Champion. Despite only having one match against each other, a match that ended in disqualification, these two know each other so well. A little known fact about their relationship is that they are actually cousins-in-law. In 2WWF circa 2009, this was revealed when Danny announced that he hired a bodyguard, revealing it to be Barnez himself. Later in the night, Danny captured his first ever championship in professional wrestling, with help from Thomas, by defeating James Williams in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match for the Internet Championship. A few months of Thomas helping Danny defend the title led to Diamond finally defending it by himself, no Barnez to help him, in a Ladder match against Jason Reid, which the Englishman was successful in. After realizing that he doesn't need Thomas to fight his wars for him, Danny fired him the hard way; with a baseball bat to the head. The two hadn't met since then until last year, when Danny slapped Barnez because he felt he was no longer the monster that he used to be. This led to the aforementioned match, which resulted in disqualification courtesy of Danny's "New Hopeful" member Azrael turning his back on the Englishman, only for Diamond's best friend Rob Chapman to make the save. At Vendetta #113, Thomas and Danny came face to face once more after Barnez announced his return to the ring two weeks prior. Barnez claimed that Summer Sanitarium coming from 2WWF to XWA was his doing as general manager because he felt a company like 2WWF needed to be celebrated. Danny took exception to this, as he felt like he was a much bigger star in 2WWF than Barnez ever was. The Cheshire-native, whom became an official member of the XWA Hall of Fame class of 2015 a few weeks ago, went on to call Thomas a neverbeen and insinuated that his whole career has been a waste. After failing to sneak attack Barnez, Danny found himself being challenged to a match at Summer Sanitarium by the gigantic man. Angered, he was quick to accept, and thus the stage was set for tonight. In a battle between Hall of Famers, Thomas of WWA and Danny of XWA, only one thing is certain; this is going to be good.

Laura Watts: "This following match is scheduled for a one fall!"

DING! DING! DING!

"He who makes a beast out of himself gets rid of the paaain of bein' a maaan."

As M. Shadows' inhalation scream from Avenged Sevenfold's "Bat Country" pierces through the ears of everyone in attendance, Danny Diamond pops out through the curtain, the lights flashing gold. The fans let out a mixed reaction, mostly cheering for the upcoming match, but booing the disrespectful Danny.

Ted Cedar: "It's put up or shut up time for Danny Diamond, as he takes on his biggest opponent of all time, quite literally."

David Michaels: "Well, we know he'll never shut the hell up, so let's see if he can at least put up tonight."

Danny, dressed in his Pay Per View colors of black and pink, looks out at the audience, his signature covering his face, along with his pink sunglasses. Covering his torso is a pink "Diamonds Are Forever" v-neck t-shirt, as his usual attire of black and pink trunks and boots and kneepads combination, as well as white wrist tape, is sported as well. The arrogant superstar begins making his way to the ring.

Laura Watts: "Introducing first, he is from Cheshire, England and weighing in tonight at two hundred and thirteen pounds, 'The Rubix Cube', 'The Shine', 'The Prized Gem', XWA Hall of Famer, Danny Diamond!"

Danny pauses half-way down the entrance ramp, where he looks out at the audience before conceitedly mouthing, "don't worry, your lord has arrived," garnering more boos.

David Michaels: "Can you believe this jackass?"

Ted Cedar: "He certainly has a high opinion of himself. Danny is very talented, there's no denying that, but is arrogance really bliss, like he says?"

The Englishman continues his way down to the ring, before walking up the steel steps and getting in through the middle and top ropes. He walks over to a corner of the ring, leaning against it lazily, as if to say he's not worried about this match in the slightest. His music quiets down, as does the audience for a few seconds, before ...

"OWAHAHAHAH!"

A huge explosion goes off on the entrance ramp, as Disturbed's "Down With The Sickness" hits, beginning at the first chorus. This loud introduction doesn't faze Danny, however, as he mocking yawns. Thomas' gigantic silhouette is seen in the smoke, before he pops out in a big burst of energy. Dressed to destroy in his black cargo pants, red belt, black boots with red laces and soles and black and red gloves and wrist guards that go all the way up to just passed his elbow. In addition to this, Thomas also has a black latex tank top on, as the behemoth looks around at the cheering crowd.

Ted Cedar: "Oh boy, here we go! We haven't seen Thomas in action in almost a year, ironically enough against the man he's facing tonight. However, last time there was an interference. With no one to help, or hinder, Diamond this time, it's one on one."

David Michaels: "I don't think those odds ever favor that guy, to be honest."

"Bipolar Tommy" begins making his way to the ring, as he turns his attention to Danny.

Laura Watts: "And his opponent, he is from Detroit, Michigan and weighing in at two hundred and ninety-three pounds, "The Giant", "The Red Prince", "Satan's Assassin", WWA Hall of Famer, Thomas Barnez!"

Thomas reaches the ring, grabbing a hold of the top rope from the floor and pulling himself onto the apron, before entering the squared circle over the aforementioned top rope. Thomas glares over at Danny, whom is still leaned against a corner of the ring, staring back. The two men look at each other from across the ring, neither moving an inch, as the fans continue to cheer.

Ted Cedar: "You can almost feel the bad blood here. These two have history and it's plain as day to see that they don't like each other. This isn't going to be a battle between two men who hate the living guts out of one another, but it'll still be a fight."

David Michaels: "And that's just what Thomas wants."

XWA official Ryu Sanu calls both men into the center of the ring to go over the rules of the match. They come in, Danny a bit lazier in his approach than Thomas, and Ryu covers the standard singles match rules before asking if they both understand. Thomas looks at Ryu and nods, before the two look at Danny, whom lets out his arrogant grin again and nods. Ryu calls for them to back up a bit, which they do, and he calls for the bell to be rung thrice and the match to officially begin.

DING! DING! DING!

As soon as the sonance of the bell ringing is heard, Thomas steps towards Danny, but Danny instantly backs away, quickly exiting the ring to the floor outside. The audience boos, as Thomas looks on, very slightly amused by Diamond's tactics, as Ryu yells at the Englishman to get back in the ring before beginning a ten count. The arrogant Diamond simply stands there, looking in the ring at Thomas with a grin on his face, as if to say, "this is going down how I want it to go down." Thomas motions for Danny to get back in, wanting to actually start the match, so Diamond pulls himself back onto the apron. He starts to get in the ring, but, the second he sees Thomas moving in his direction, he drops back out. Unfortunately, this caused Ryu to restart his count as Danny waves his finger at Thomas, signifying that he's not ready to start yet. The conceited superstar turns towards the crowd, with a grin still seen on his face, as he begins doing stretches. Inside the ring, an impatient Thomas has had enough of this. He turns in the direction opposite of where Danny is and jogs to the ropes, rebounding off of them for speed as he then darts across the ring in Danny's direction. The Englishman finishes his stretches just in time to turn around and see a gigantic man flying over the top rope, directly at him! Thomas connects perfectly with the Undertaker-like Suicide Dive, crashing down on top of Danny, as the audience bursts into "Holy Shit!" chants, never having thought they'd see something like that out of Thomas Barnez. Ryu begins a ten count, once more.

Ted Cedar: "What the hell?!"

David Michaels: "Jesus Christ, not a minute into the match and Thomas has already done something he's never done before. Wow."

Thomas is, as expected, the first to get back to his feet. He shakes off the cobwebs of his huge diving maneuver,  before yanking Danny back up to his feet. The Detroit-native grabs a hold of Diamond's wrist and Irish Whips him directly into the security barricade, Danny turning just in time to go back-first into the barricade and ever-so-slightly take some of the momentum away from the whip. Thomas doesn't give his opposition a second to rest, as he rushes towards him, but he receives a boot from Danny, whom elevated himself with the barricade, for his effort! This causes the big man to stagger backwards a bit, but he shakes the pain out of his head and throws a monstrous haymaker, but Diamond ducks under it and runs behind his adversary. He quickly leaps onto the ring apron and steps all the way back to the turnbuckle. Thomas turns around as "The Prized Gem" rushes forward, leaping off of the ring apron and straddling his legs around the shoulders of his foe, looking for a Hurricanrana! Danny pulls himself backwards, trying to take Thomas off of his feet, but the powerful man stands his ground. He pulls Danny back onto his shoulders and, as the Englishman desperately waves his hands about in a poor attempt to find a way out of this predicament, Thomas launches Danny off of his shoulders and sends him crashing back-first into the ring apron that he had just jumped off! The fans cheer for the spot, as Danny bounces back from the apron and drops straight to the floor.

Ted Cedar: "Oooh! It seems Danny had intended for a Hurricanrana right there, but, instead, he got Powerbombed onto the ring apron!"

David Michaels: "Aside from aerial Thomas, this is going about as expected."

The behemoth of a human being picks Danny up and rolls him into the ring, proceeding to slide in afterwards. "The Giant" yanks his English adversary back to his feet and ever-so-nonchalantly tosses him into the nearest corner. Thomas follows this up by latching onto the ropes on either side of Danny with both hands and going to town on his mid-section with repeated Shoulder Thrusts! Each strike causes Danny's body to get pushed up into the corner. Ryu begins a count to five, as Danny and Barnez are in the ropes. At four, Thomas finally stops his Shoulder Thrusting onslaught and he steps back a good distance to get some space from the groggy Diamond. Thomas rushes forward, bringing his foot up and looking for a cornered Big Boot, but Danny moves out of the way and Thomas' foot goes straight over the top rope, causing him to get caught in the rope groin-first! Realizing the advantage he has right now, Danny doesn't waste a second to recover as he darts away from Barnez, heading towards the ropes. He rebounds off of the ropes to gain speed and turns towards his opponent's direction. "The Prized Gem" rushes full speed ahead at Barnez, before running up the ropes directly to his side and landing an Enzuigiri, cracking Thomas in the back of the head, as the sound of it echoes throughout the arena! The big strike causes Thomas to shift his weight too much to the side and he falls out of the ring, hitting the ground with a thud. However, it would seem Danny isn't done yet, as he stalks Thomas from inside the ring, waiting for him to get up. Once Barnez is nearly standing, shaking his head to try to fight off the pain of that Enzuigiri, Danny runs to the ropes once more, again ricocheting off of them for speed. He then runs at Barnez and leaps into the air, somersaulting over the top rope whilst corkscrewing to showcase an absolutely breathtaking Suicide Dive! Not only does Danny land directly on top of Barnez, knocking him down, but he manages to land on his feet! The audience lets out a highly mixed reaction, but this is quick to turn into boos as Danny shouts, "That's how it's done!"

Ted Cedar: "Beautiful Corkscrew Suicide Dive by Danny! This is what he has to do, utilize his speed to his advantage. Thomas may have been able to pull off an incredible Suicide Dive of his own earlier, but his speed does not even come close to matching Danny's. If he can keep this pace up, Danny may be walking out of here with the win."

David Michaels: "All it takes is one small fuck up, Ted. Danny has the talent, that's for sure, but when you're up against a man as dangerous as Thomas Barnez, and you're going for big risks, you better damn well make them pay off."

As Ryu begins a ten count, Danny stomps on his opposition repeatedly, looking to soften him up a bit. Once he’s finished doing this, he pulls himself onto the security barricade and stands atop it, raising his arms in the air to pose, garnering big boos from the fans in attendance. The Englishman lets out a chuckle and hops back down to the floor, having successfully gotten the reaction he wanted from the crowd. By now, Thomas is nearing a vertical base. Danny quickly gets behind him and pushes the giant of a human being, sending him crashing head-first into the steel post! With Barnez stunned, Danny rolls into the ring and then quickly back out, forcing Sanu to restart his count. “The Prized Gem” lands a sharp kick to the knee of the seven foot two superstar, bringing him down to a knee. He then lands a very disrespectful slap to the face of the former XWA General Manager, garnering even more boos from the fans. With a grin on his face, Danny takes a few steps back, gaining some distance between himself and his opponent as he looks to get a running start for whatever he has planned. Once he’s got enough space, Diamond rushes forward, but Barnez quickly gets back to his feet and catches Danny, lifting him off of the ground, spinning him around and driving him back-first into the thinly padded floor with a Double A-style Spinebuster! The fans cheer for the sudden reversal from Thomas as the big man takes a moment to recuperate and Ryu reaches a count of four.

David Michaels: 'There we go, one small fuck up, courtesy of Danny Diamond."

Ted Cedar: "Jeez, that had to hurt. That padding on the floor is very thin, folks, and it's concrete under there."

Once he’s finished recuperating, Thomas pulls Danny back to his feet by his stylized hair and rolls him back into the ring. Instead of following in after him, however, Thomas has other plans. The gigantic man pulls himself onto the ring apron and then, much to the surprise of the audience, begins climbing the turnbuckle! The fans cheer in anticipation to see what’s about to happen. Barnez reaches the top turnbuckle and showcases surprisingly good balance as he stands upright on the top rope. Suddenly, Danny jumps back up to his feet and rushes up the ropes, looking to take Barnez off of the top rope with an avalanche Belly-to-Belly Suplex, but Barnez catches him with a right hook as he’s running up the ropes, dropping him straight back down to the canvas! Thomas regains his balance, after having been thrown off a bit by the sudden movement from Danny. He looks down at the Englishman, readying himself for something very unusual for him. Thomas leaps off of the top rope, pushing his feet forward and slamming back-first onto Danny’s mid-section with a huge Diving Senton! The audience cheers wildly at the big risk that paid off for Barnez, as he quickly goes for the cover. One! Two! Thre—Kickout just in time!

Ted Cedar: "That's nearly three hundred pounds that just came crashing down on Danny from the top rope and he still kicked out!"

David Michaels: "The kid's resilient, I'll give him that."

Barnez slowly pulls himself back to a vertical base before grabbing onto Diamond’s hair and yanking him back up as well, whilst being admonished by Sanu for the hair pulling. “The Giant” grabs a hold of Danny’s wrist and Irish Whips him across the ring, into the corner. He takes a few steps back towards the opposing corner before rushing in towards Danny, looking to Splash into him and crush him. Diamond is able to move out of the way just in time, unfortunately for Thomas, whom hits the corner turnbuckles. Hastily, Danny leaps into the air, grabbing onto Thomas’ neck and pulling him down with a Neckbreaker! Instead of going for the cover, Danny drags Thomas by his hands a bit so that he’s in perfect position for what he has planned next. “The Shine” begins ascending the turnbuckle from inside the ring, his back to Barnez as he does so. The Englishman is slow to get to the top, due to the fatigue of this match thus far, but he eventually makes it. He quickly looks back to make sure Barnez is still downed on the canvas, before leaping into a Moonsault attempt! An attempt is all that it is, however, as Barnez rolls out of the way, but Danny sees this while airborne and adjusts accordingly to land on his feet! He stumbles a bit on the landing, allowing Barnez enough time to attempt a Gore! Danny has the wherewithal to leap frog over an oncoming Thomas, landing on his feet again, this time behind him. As Barnez turns around, he’s snapped in the neck with a Superkick from Danny; Sudden Death! Somehow, the finishing maneuver from Diamond doesn’t drop Barnez, whom stumbles backwards into the ropes. Groggily, he pops back out of the ropes, receiving a second Sudden Death Superkick for his troubles! Still, the big man doesn’t go down! Barnez dizzily rebounds off of the ropes again as Danny yells out loud, ”go the fuck down!” before landing a third Sudden Death Superkick that finally takes the big man down! Danny quickly stumbles onto him for the cover. One! Two! Thre—Barnez kicks out! The audience cheers wildly for the kickout, as chants of ”this is awesome!” sound off all throughout the arena!

Ted Cedar: ”Thomas just kicked out of not one, not two, but three Sudden Death Superkicks from Danny! Incredible!”

David Michaels: ”Hell, I said Danny’s resilient, well look at that. Not too many people can kick out of one of those kicks, let alone three.”

Danny looks up, astonished that after three Sudden Death Superkicks, he wasn’t able to put Barnez away. He gets back to his feet and glares at Ryu, beginning to argue with the official. ”That had to be three! Are you counting slow? Huh?! What the fuck kind of bullshit was that?!” Danny notices, out of the corner of his eye, Thomas beginning to reach a knee. ”I’ll deal with you later,” he says to a frightened Ryu, before turning back to Thomas and landing a few clubbing forearm shots to his upper back. With Barnez still on a single knee, Danny applies a Front Facelock, proceeding to drive the big man head-first into the canvas with a DDT! He doesn’t go for the pin, however, realizing he won’t be able to get it off of that if he couldn’t get it with three Superkicks to the throat. Instead, Danny exits the ring to stand on the apron, where he latches onto the top rope. He looks in the ring at the downed Barnez before leaping into the air. Diamond showcases great agility and balance as he springboards from the top rope, rotating backwards as he moves forwards and crashing belly-to-belly with a springboarding Shooting Star Press onto the big man! He goes for the cover once more. One! Two! Thre—But Barnez again kicks out in time! The fans cheer loud again as Danny slams his palm into the canvas numerous times out of frustration. He angrily gets back to his feet and lays down a barrage of stomps all over the anatomy of Barnez before spinning around and pulling at his own hair, whilst letting out a frustrated yell. “The Rubix Cube” turns back towards Barnez, saying, ”it’s time to end this.” He turns so that his side is facing Barnez, whom is slowly getting back to his feet. It’s clear that Danny is setting up for a fourth, and final, Sudden Death to put this match away. With intensity seen in the Englishman’s face, he impatiently waits for Thomas to reach a vertical base. Once Barnez is standing, Diamond goes for the Superkick, but he’s surprised to have his foot caught by the gigantic man! Barnez lets out a sinister smile as he looks into a shocked Danny’s face, before quickly pulling him in and raising him onto his shoulders, Fireman’s Carry style. Barnez swings Danny as if he was going for an F5, before transitioning it into a Black Hole Slam to land his maneuver known as the Tribulation! “Satan’s Assassin” quickly goes for the cover, as the audience counts along with the official. One! Two! Thre—But Diamond kicks out just in time!

Ted Cedar: ”I thought, for sure, that was it there, but Danny manages to stay in it in this great match up!”

David Michaels: ”I have no doubt that if Danny would’ve landed that fourth Sudden Death Superkick, this one would’ve been over, but Barnez was able to catch it and transition it into one hell of a move.”

Barnez, fairly exhausted from this match, leisurely gets back to his feet. He takes a moment to recuperate, letting himself breath in an out as he thinks of his next action. Finally, the big man grabs a hold of Danny by his wrist and yanks him back up to his feet. “Bipolar Tommy” damn near decapitates his opposition as he pulls him into a Short Arm Clothesline! Danny drops, but Barnez doesn’t let go of his wrist. He grabs him by his hair with his free hand and pulls the Englishman back to his feet, proceeding to land a second Short Arm Clothesline! The almost limp body of Diamond drops once more, but Barnez isn’t done yet. He pulls him back to his feet by his hair once more, going for a third Short Arm Clothesline, but this time Danny has the wherewithal to duck underneath the oncoming Clothesline and break free of Barnez’s grasp, popping up behind him. He quickly leaps up and wraps his arms around his opponent from behind, whilst hanging from him with a Sleeper Hold! The audience boos as Barnez stumbles about, trying to get the persistent Danny off of him. He makes his way over to the ropes and grabs a hold of Danny’s head, pulling him over his shoulder and dumping him out onto the apron. The ever-agile Diamond lands on his feet and goes to punch his gigantic foe, but Barnez catches the attempted punch and replies with one of his own, staggering Diamond on the apron. Barnez thinks for a second on what to do next and, as if a light bulb lit up over his head, he goes into action. The big man heads over to the adjacent corner and steps over the top rope, hopping onto the apron. He stands there, waiting for Danny to turn in his direction, as the Englishman is still groggy from the punch. As soon as he turns towards Barnez, Diamond sees a giant man running directly at him. Barnez bends over, crashing into Danny and taking him straight off of the apron with a huge Gore to the floor outside! ”Holy shit!” chants go off all throughout the arena as the two men lie on the floor.

Ted Cedar: ”Woah!”

David Michaels: ”Holy shit is right! Damn!”

Ryu begins a ten count, as Barnez slowly starts to get back to his feet, using the ring apron for support. Once standing, the behemoth of a human being lets out a loud, warrior-like yell, garnering a big pop from the crowd as the chants die down. Thomas picks a limp Danny up and rolls him into the ring, proceeding to slide in after him. Instead of going for the cover, however, Thomas walks to the furthest corner of the ring from where Diamond is and kneels down, calling for a second Gore, just to be safe. The audience cheers as a ”Gore!” chant builds up throughout the building, the fans clearly anticipating the possible upcoming finisher. Barnez stands there, kneeled down, as intense as can be as Danny slowly uses the ring ropes to pull himself back to his feet. He reaches a vertical base and stumbles around as Barnez rushes forward at him, looking to connect with the Gore, but Danny leaps into the air, wrapping his arm around Barnez’s head and his legs around his mid-section, catching the big man with a Guillotine Choke! The two men collapse to the canvas as Danny locks it in tight, the audience letting out a loud, yet mixed, reaction in response. Barnez immediately tries to get out of the hold by punching Diamond repeatedly in the mid-section, but it’s to no avail. While each shot hurts the already hurting Englishman in his ribcage, he refuses to let go of the submission hold. Realizing this isn’t working, Barnez begins trying to reach for the ropes, but he’s just out of reach. He extends his hand out as far as possible, but he can’t quite make it. The audience tries to will Barnez on with cheers and clapping, as the big man tries to push Danny, but between the fatigue setting in and the hold doing its damage, it’s not working out very well. The Englishman wrenches harder and harder as Thomas tries to move, eventually causing him to begin fading out. Seeing this, Ryu immediately steps into action. He raises Thomas’ right hand and drops it, letting it hit the canvas. ”One!” shouts the official, before trying again. The hand, once more, hits the canvas. ”Two!” Sanu grabs Barnez’s hand one more time and lets it drop again, but the Detroit-native is still in this thing, as he stops his hand from falling half-way down! The fans cheer loudly as Barnez begins showcasing his tremendous power by getting back to his feet, whilst Danny still has the hold applied! He reaches a vertical base and then rams Danny back-first into the security barricade, but Danny refuses to let go! Hurriedly, Barnez spins around and drops back down to the canvas, taking Danny down with a Spinebuster that finally causes separation!

Ted Cedar: ”Danny took a page out of his good friend Rob Chapman’s book, but even that wasn’t enough for him to keep the big man down!”

David Michaels: ”This guy’s strength is really something.”

With both men down, the official has no choice but to begin a ten count that will lead to a double count out if neither man reaches his feet by the end of it. It isn’t until the count of five that both men begin to stir. Slowly, they both attempt to reach their feet, Barnez on his own and Danny with help from the ropes. Ryu reaches nine and gets ready to make the call, but Barnez and Danny both gain an erect base at the same time, just before he could count to ten! The Englishman stumbles towards Barnez and goes for a punch, but Thomas blocks it and replies with a punch of his own, staggering Danny. Diamond shakes it off and goes for another punch attempt, but it’s again blocked and responded with a punch from Thomas. Angrily, Danny goes for one more punch, but, unsurprisingly, it’s blocked before Thomas hits him with a really hard right hook. Barnez follows this up with a few punches both to the body and to the head, which causes Danny to back up into the ropes. Thomas Irish Whips his English opponent across the ring, to the opposing set of ropes, proceeding to bend over as he looks to catch the returning Diamond with a Back Body Drop. Danny ricochets off of the ropes, but as he’s running back to Thomas, he leaps into the air and cracks the big man on the back of the head with a Double Foot Stomp, causing him to drop! Thinking and acting quickly, Danny rolls Barnez onto his back and drags him towards the nearest corner of the ring, leaving him laid out in front of it. He gets on the ring apron and, as quickly as he can with the fatigue, Diamond reaches the top turnbuckle. He, exhaustedly, raises a single hand up to the audience, generating boos, before doing an incredible four hundred and fifty degree leap, crashing head-to-head with Barnez to land his rare maneuver, the 450 Headbutt! Barnez clutches at his head, as does Danny, whom shakes violently on the canvas, having hurt himself a considerable bit with the high risk move as well! He gets back to his feet, using the ropes and fighting through the pain, as an incensed Danny Diamond waits for his opponent to get up, setting up once more for the Sudden Death Superkick. Thomas gradually starts to get up, still holding his head as he does so, even shaking it occasionally to try to rid himself of some of the pain he’s feeling. Once Barnez reaches his feet, he shakes his head one final time before turning to Danny’s direction and getting nailed directly in the throat with a very stiff Sudden Death Superkick! Danny, perhaps unintentionally due to his exhaustion, drops right on top of Barnez following the kick, as the referee goes for the count. One! Two! Three! “Bat Country” by Avenged Sevenfold hits, as the audience lets out a very loud, very mixed reaction.

DING! DING! DING!

Ted Cedar: "It's over!"

David Michaels: "How do you like that? He won."

Ryu helps pull Danny back to his feet after the bell rings. Once the staggered Englishman is standing, his hand is raised by the official.

Laura Watts: "Here is your winner, by pinfall, Danny Diamond!"

Danny, after regaining his composure, pulls his hand away from Ryu as he lets out an exhausted grin. The two-time XWA World Heavyweight Champion raises both of his hands into the air, looking out at the audience whilst breathing heavily.

Ted Cedar: "Well, Danny wins, but you can't take anything away from Thomas. He gave it his all tonight and even took three Sudden Death Superkicks in a row, only to kick out. I don't believe that's ever been done before."

David Michaels: "I don't think it has either, Ted. Thomas went out there tonight and had one of the best damn matches of his career, at the age of forty-two. I'm very impressed. But at the same time, Danny was still victorious. He deserves his props."

Barnez, whilst still laid out on the floor, stares blankly up at the ceiling of the arena, letting the fact that he just lost sink in. Meanwhile, Danny exits the ring and begins making his way to the back, a huge victory secured for him in his first match of 2015.

Ted Cedar: "You're absolutely right, David. Both men deserve their props for this amazing match."

Finally, Thomas begins to move. By the time he makes it back to a knee, "Bat Country" stops playing. The audience, noticing Barnez starting to get up, begin cheering and clapping for the big man. Barnez doesn't notice this at first, still focused on the pain in his body and the fact that he just lost. He uses the rope to pull himself back up to a vertical base and that's when he hears the fans.

Ted Cedar: "Thomas receiving a much-deserved standing ovation here from the fans."

David Michaels: "He may have lost the match, but Thomas sure as hell ain't leavin' here tonight as a loser."

Thomas, despite the pain and disappointment filling his body right now, cracks a slight smile at the ovation he's receiving from his fans. He nods at them, as if to thank them. Thomas turns around to exit the ring, but he's met with a boot to the throat, as Danny drills him with another Sudden Death Superkick! The fans' cheers turn instantly to boos as Danny looks down at Thomas, no more grin seen on his face.

Ted Cedar: "What the hell is this, now? You won the match, get the hell out of here!"

Danny stands above Thomas before bending over towards his face, shouting at the gigantic man, "I won this match, not you! Don't let these idiots trick you into believing you're worth a damn!" The fans continue to jeer as Danny pulls himself back up to an erect base and raises both of his hands again. "I'm the winner, you will cheer for me!"

Ted Cedar: "Oh, come on! Are you really that insecure that you can't let the audience cheer for your opponent after an amazing match?"

David Michaels: "Just when I start to like this idiot."

Danny again looks down at Thomas, briefly, as the audience continues to boo heavily. Not satisfied yet, the XWA Hall of Famer exits the ring and looks under it for something, proceeding to pull out a steel chair.

Ted Cedar: "You've done enough, Danny! You won! Leave it at that!"

"The Prized Gem" has no plans to 'leave it at that', as he reenters the ring, steel chair in hand. By now, Thomas has made his way back to a single knee. Danny doesn't even wait for him to get back to his feet before beaming him over the head with the steel chair, Thomas not even having enough time to get his hands up to block! The unprotected chair shot to the head doesn't knock the big man down, however, despite it stunning him. Naturally, Danny isn't satisfied with that, so he nails Thomas in the head with the chair once more! Thomas still doesn't go down! Ready to take the big man out once and for all, Danny raises the chair over his head and then attempts to bring it crashing down onto Thomas' head for a third time, but Barnez grabs a hold of Danny by the throat! The fans cheer wildly as Danny drops the chair whilst panicking. Thomas gets back to his feet, still holding Danny's throat as he does so. Once standing, he stares into Diamond's eyes, an intensity and anger like only Barnez can muster being seen. This soon turns to a look of pain, however, as Danny quickly lands a picture perfect kick to the groin, forcing Thomas to let go! The fans go back to booing instantly, as Danny takes a moment to rub his neck and breathe. He quickly picks up the steel chair before Thomas can recover from the cheap low blow and then proceeds to drill "Bipolar Tommy" over the head with the chair a third time, this time knocking him down! Danny looks down at Thomas, anger now seen on his face, before the camera turns over to Thomas, revealing blood leaking from his cranium.

Ted Cedar: "This is sick, absolutely disgusting!"

David Michaels: "I have to agree with you, Ted. Thomas can't control whether or not the crowd cheers for him. This is pathetic."

Danny is far from done, unfortunately. He grips tightly onto the legs of the chair and holds it above his head before bringing it down violently on the upper body of Thomas! Danny repeats this, landing chair shot after chair shot to Barnez's body, denting the chair horribly. After the seventeenth consecutive chair shot, Danny finally lets up on the attack, breathing heavily as he does so. "2WWF was my company and so is XWA! Remember that, next time you decide to fuck with me." Danny drops the chair, or rather tosses it at Thomas' head, before finally exiting the ring and making his way to the back. The audience look on, worried about the condition that the bloodied and beaten Thomas is in.

Ted Cedar: "Oh my God, look at Thomas! He went from the best shape of his life to that, all thanks to an insecure Danny Diamond and a steel chair."

David Michaels: "I may respect Danny's ability and all of his accomplishments, but there's no damn reason somebody who does something like this should be in XWA's Hall of Fame. This is unforgivable."

Danny turns around, half-way up the ramp, to look back at the ring, as he continues walking backwards. The arrogant grin he's well known for returns to his face now, as he even lets out a slight chuckle. "Diamonds are forever!" he shouts at the arena, before chuckling again and turning around to exit the arena. The camera changes to Ryu in the ring, checking on Barnez, as the show cuts a commercial for XWA's next Pay Per View endeavor, Revolutionary Wars.
