The limited field of view in the current build of Microsoft's HoloLens won't be "hugely, noticeably different" in the final retail version of the AR headset, according to Kudo Tsunoda, one of the driving forces behind HoloLens at Microsoft.

Speaking with Giant Bomb, Tsunoda addressed the current build's field of view: "The hardware isn't final so none of the things are completely done. I think you're never going to get to full peripheral field of view, but certainly the hardware we have now the field of view isn't exactly final. But I wouldn't say it's going to be hugely, noticeably different either."

IGN noted the small field of view after experiencing the Halo 5 HoloLens demo at E3, saying, "And here's where the technology is still very limited right now: the field of view is very small. It's not quite as bad as looking through a mail slot, but the top and bottom of my viewing area kept getting cut off."

However, IGN called what appeared in that field of view "truly fantastic."
