5 Weeks of ROH TV Results *SPOILERS* Empty
PostSubject: 5 Weeks of ROH TV Results *SPOILERS*   5 Weeks of ROH TV Results *SPOILERS* EmptySun Jun 21, 2015 1:18 pm

-AR Fox worked the dark match in tag team action. That’s interesting because it’s the first time Fox has worked in ROH, and it was just reported a few days ago that Lucha Underground wanted to bring him in.

-Nigel McGuinness announced Lethal vs. Strong for the ROH world title at ‘Death Before Dishonor’ on 7/24. He also announced a four-way for the tag titles with The Addiction defending against War Machine, The Kingdom and reDRragon.

-This is the 200th ROH television taping.

EPISODE #1

(1) Dalton Castle def. Watanabe.

-Jay Lethal came out with Truth Martini, J. Diesel and Donovan Dijak behind him. The crowd set in with “you deserve it” chants, so Truth drew some heat by trashing the crowd and the city. He called Lethal the greatest first generation wrestler in history and the undisputed champion of the world. Lethal calls himself the “best in the world”, and refuses to vacate the TV title after working so hard to raise its value. Nigel tells him if he wants to have two titles he has to defend two titles, and the House of Truth freaks out and says the GM is “stack the deck” against them. Lethal vs. Mark Briscoe is official for the TV title on next week’s episode. Roderick Strong came out and had a staredown with the champ.

(2) Michael Elgin & reDRagon def. Adam Cole & The Kingdom. They might be building some tension between Cole and the other members of The Kingdom, in particular Maria. Go out of your way to see this match when it airs on TV.

EPISODE #2

(1) Matt Sydal def. Adam Page. They worked a good match, but BJ Whitmer attacked Sydal after it was over. ACH came out to make the save but also fell to the heels. Sydal took a piledriver and a ton of officials came out to check on him.

-Veda Scott came out and cut a great heel promo about Moose failing as an NFL star, and now being a failure as a pro wrestler. She announced her new client, Cedric Alexander, would defeat Moose at ‘Death Before Dishonor’.

(2) Will Ferrara def. Silas Young. Dalton Castle caused the distraction that led to the finish.

(3) Jay Lethal def. Mark Briscoe to retain the ROH TV title. Another really good match. ODB came out to help Briscoe even the odds but it ultimately was too much. After the match the heels worked over the Briscoes until Roderick Strong made the save and chased them off. Strong challenged them to a 6-man tag team match for next week’s show, which is being booked as the 200th episode of ROH. ODB then took the mic and said why not make it 8 with her and Truth Martini getting involved.

EPISODE #3

(1) The Young Bucks def. War Machine. A really fun match. Nick Jackson went down in the middle of it and sold an ankle injury, so AJ Styles came out to check on him and I guess the referee let it slide that AJ was the replacement. Bullet Club picks up the win, and Nick reveals he was fine the entire time.

(2) Cedric Alexander def. The Romantic Touch in a very short match.

-Veda Scott cut a promo about Cedric being underrated and told for years he just had to play nice and good things would come to him. They teased taking off Touch’s mask but Moose made the save and chased them off.

(3) Adam Cole def. Kyle O’Reilly via DQ. The finish came when Daniels, who was on commentary, got shoved by Cole and The Addiction attacked him. Cole and Kyle fought back and then cut a promo about being sick of all the bullshit. He asked Kyle if he would reunite for one night only as Futureshock to take care of Daniels and Kazarian.

(4) Futureshock def. The Addiction.

-A massive brawl broke out after the match and Bobby Fish came down to add to the noise. The Kingdom came out and were not happy with Adam Cole, who shook hands with reDRagon and seems to have made the full babyface turn.

EPISODE #4

(1) The Kingdom def. ???. An unknown team and none of our correspondents got their name.

(2) Moose def. Brutal Bob Evans, Caprice Coleman, Silas Young, Cheeseburger and Dalton Castle in a six-pack match.

-The Decade came out and BJ Whitmer took the mic and got nuclear heat. The crowd even threw some streamers at him ironically. He talked about being proud of Colby Corino, and how far he has come in such a short time. He says he hopes Colby seems him as the father-figure he never had (Steve Corino is on commentary, by the way). Steve Corino got up from commentary and hit the ring, and Whitmer continued, saying he abandoned his wife and child. The two almost go at it but Nigel McGuinness comes out and separates them, then sends them both to the back.

(3) Bobby Fish def. ACH. This was a really fun high flying match.

EPISODE #5
Ring of Honor 200th Episode

(1) The Briscoes, Roderick Strong & ODB def. Jay Lethal & The House of Truth. It was ODB who actually scored the pin against Truth Martini.

-They will likely be showing a lot of “look back” material at the history of ROH.

-It’s time for the main event of this very long, very good television taping. Samoa Joe and AJ Styles came out to an amazing reaction followed by Daniels and Kazarian. The crowd was electric and got a big “f*** TNA” chant going.

(2) AJ Styles & Samoa Joe def. The Addiction. Awesome match. The finish came with Joe hitting the Muscle Buster on one, Styles hitting the Clash on the other, and the babyfaces pinning the heels in stereo. All four embraced after the match.

-Samoa Joe ended the night with an emotional promo. He put over Ring of Honor as the greatest pro wrestling on the planet, and said that all champions came through here. He ended it by saying “I am Samoa Joe. I am pro wrestling. And I am, because I wrestled here in Ring of Honor.” The locker room basically emptied and everyone showed respect to the legend.
