The start of the makings for a match at Mania maybe?

Meltzer has said that Vince is adamant that Sting/Taker won't happen at Mania, but you never know. If Taker is finishing up at Wrestlemania, he could end up working Survivor Series and the Sting match could happen there.

Why would he be so against it? It's a ridiculously obvious money maker, streak or not. :\

I think they have other plans for Taker. I think Kevin Owens very well might be being groomed for a match with Taker at Mania.

I'd take Sting vs. Taker over Owens vs. Taker anyday. Anyone would, I would hope.

Personally I'd love to see an Owens vs Taker match

if the streak wasn't broken, yeah Taker vs Owens would be good. However since Taker doesn't have it anymore and the appeal of Taker at WM has lost it's luster. From now on even tho I think Taker should retire now, Taker should only wrestle in dream matches like Taker vs Sting. Him facing off against guys like Bray and Owens and his streak is no longer on the line what's the point?

It's not an Adam Rose we're talking about. It's someone that's been in the company and in the business for years, someone that's actually respected.

Remember when Cena debuted and defeated Kurt Angle? The Undertaker "complimented" him (scripted or not, doesn't matter). He also "praised" Jeff Hardy after one awesome PPV match they had during the "American Bad-ass" Gimmick, and Jeff Hardy (drug issues aside) IS a huge name, whether people like him or not.

So, whether we're given a Sting vs Undertaker, or a KO vs UT, regardless of the result, everyone wins.
- Sting won't win vs Undy because Sting = WCW and Taker = WWE. No way they'd allow the WCW brand to win over theirs, especially when he represented another company over the next 10+ years.
- Owens winning would be the sign for a "push to the moon". And Taker wouldn't look bad because time does take its toll, and they can always use the "The Phenom is not what he was anymore, after what Lesnar has done to him at Wrestlemania", which makes Lesnar strong, and could lead to a feud between the two. Even if Owens loses, that would bring the people to question if Owens would be able to face and "destroy" Lesnar, thus leading to a feud anyway.

Either one, I'd love to see them happen, personally.

There was a rumor going around that Taker was going to cost Lesnar the match at Battleground sunday, leading to Taker/Lesnar possibly at Summerslam. Will it happen? I dont know.

I think Kevin Owens is going to massacre Undertaker at Wrestlemania. To me, there are two scenarios if Taker is working Mania but not against Sting...

He's either going to get absolutely buried by Kevin Owens

or

He's going to wrestle Cena.

Owens vs Lesnar and Owens going over on him would be much better for Owens then doing it to Taker.

Taker is still pretty much what WrestleMania is, streak or not, that has been established a long time ago and you can't change it. Whether you like it or not, a lot of people tune in for WrestleMania just to see Taker, he still draws money for the company and I'd love to see him face anybody as long as he's there.

If Owens were to beat Taker, that means only two people have been able to do it at WrestleMania. That's it. It would be like saying Owens is on par with Lesnar.

Owens/Zayn beating Taker would actually be a pretty good move tbh.

I'd love to see Owens beat Taker at WM, leading to Owens vs. Lesnar at the following WM.

Just because I don't want to see Owens to fight taker and bury him doesn't mean I don't want Owens to be pushed. I rather have taker face Cena or Sting and retire. simple as that.

The streak played a huge role for WM for many years. It was a key drawing point. But now that dumb dick Vince has ended it...why should Taker continue to wrestle at WM when he doesn't have his streak unless it's a dream match. This year was the first time ever I was never excited for a Taker match. Him and Bray had a good match, but it just felt like something was missing...that was the streak.

Taker is still a huge deal yes, but that Streak played such an important role at WM and now that it's gone...it takes away from Taker a little. At least to me it has.

Zayn beating Taker? That would be utterly terrible. Those are just two characters you don't have anywhere near one another.

After thinking about, a few months ago there was a rumor that Bray Wyatt and Undertaker were having a rematch at summerslam. I'd be keen for that rematch.
