As we previously reported, WWE may be working toward a Stephen Amell vs Stardust feud. Now, consider the source before you fully believe it, but Hollywood Life reports that the match will go down at this year’s Summerslam.

A source said: “Steven is looking to get in the ring for the WWE and the match looks like it will take place at SummerSlam in NYC. The WWE and Stephen are deciding if he should wrestle as himself or Arrow, in the next few weeks that will be answered but what can be answered now is that he will definitely have a match against WWE Superstar Stardust.”

Amell has wanted to guest host RAW for some time now and even expressed an interest in wrestling. When he tweeted that he would be at RAW this past Monday, Stardust took exception and the two traded tweets.

No fucking way. Stardust is viewed as a jobber now. Same for R-Truth. In fact, I have no idea why both of them were in the Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match at WrestleMania instead of being in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal or having a relevant Stardust or Cody Rhodes vs. Goldust match. I would have been perfectly happy with only Ambrose, Bryan, Ziggler, Harper and Barrett in the IC Title Ladder Match. The Stardust gimmick is going nowhere, so why have it? Plus, why make an important storyline for an important guest host who's gonna have a match with a guy who hasn't been featured in any important storyline since WrestleMania.

The fans didn't care? They were chanting "Cody" and they still are! So, it's not as if the fans didn't care, a lot of people were waiting with anticipation for a Rhodes vs. Rhodes match at WrestleMania, apparently, WWE didn't care. They didn't see money when they thought about this match so they scrapped the idea. The storyline they were doing at Fastlane was good with Dusty in the mix. It's a shame. This was probably the biggest chance they had to finally make it happen.

You DO realize why they're chanting "Cody" right? It's because he cut a promo on Raw one night saying "Cody Rhodes was dead", so it bothers him. That's why.

It doesn't matter WHY they were chanting "Cody". What I'm trying to say is Stardust gets a reaction from the crowd, so it's not as if the fans didn't care about this storyline otherwise they wouldn't chant anything and they wouldn't waste their energy on something they don't care about but they did care. In fact, when the build-up was only beginning at Fastlane, that's when they started to give a shit and give a crowd reaction chanting "Cody", they could have done something with that.

It DOES matter why they're chanting...do you not pay attention to what goes on? It's like when people were chanting "ALBERT" at Tensai when he came back...it's not because he's over...it's because the crowd is essentially trolling the character. They're chanting "Cody" because in the fucking storyline, he doesnt want to acknowledge that Cody Rhodes ever existed. That's not a reaction. The character is NOT over, and if it were, he'd be getting something other than those troll chants. As far as Fastlane goes...that crowd was fucking dead for that entire match....they did NOT care.

I agree with Dead on this one, for once.

Cody's just such a great talent, that he came up with the going crazy thing whenever the fans chant "Cody!"

I was about to say, now JHalc has videos of Stephen in a WWE ring.

I hope he wrestles as Arrow and gets to use his bow.

I still feel like the Stardust character is holding Cody back. I get it's supposed to be the passing of the torch with the Goldust character, it's simply not working. These phantom reactions that apparently are getting the character "over" arent helping him either.
