Kevin Owens may not have been WWE’s first choice to be the next call-up from NXT. WWE originally planned on bringing Sami Zayn up after his NXT Takeover match with Owens, but Zayn suffered an injury and plans changed.

Owens signed a new main roster contract and will work all RAW shows in the future. He will also keep working in NXT until he loses the NXT title and moves to the main roster full time.

Meanwhile, WWE also has “big plans” for Finn Balor on the main roster whenever they decide to call him up.

But what's gonna happen to Sami Zayn? I hope they make him do a return on RAW instead of NXT and continue the Zayn-Owens Feud on WWE TV and have the final match on a WWE PPV. That's a main roster worthy storyline, not developmental. There's more money to be made with this feud, that's why it needs to happen in WWE and not NXT.

I'd like to see Owens win the U.S. title of Cena at some point, then cue Zayn's return to continue their feud on Raw and SmackDown.
