TNA announcer Josh Mathews took issue with WWE "hypocrisy" following Samoa Joe's debut on NXT. He wrote:

How did the @WWENXT announcers know who @SamoaJoe was if we are #obscurity in their world? Sick of hypocrisy.

Well Joe was just in the main event of SuperCard of Honor before he went to WWE

He sounds more bitter about losing his job at WWE than sick of hypocrisy.

It's different levels of stardom, Josh. People paid to talk about wrestling know what TNA is, but 75% of the american audience doesn't.

All the announcers knew who Sting was, too. They're not saying they don't know what TNA is... they're saying they can't expect their fans to.
