At the time of this posting, Yooka-Lalyee – the Banjo-Kazooie spiritual successor being developed by former Rare employees – has achieved all of its stretch goals.

Right now, the Kickstarter has raised £1,234,399 (about $1,868,695), which means it has surpassed all of its initial stretch goals, plus two that were added shortly after the game's Kickstarter launch. In response, developer Playtonic Games has added another stretch goal for the £1,500,000 mark – the addition of an orchestral score.

The team also addressed a fair concern that the Kickstarter is getting too big and insists that the stretch goals are going exclusively to the game, as opposed to things like buying a larger office space. In the most recent update Playtonic writes, "we’re acutely aware of the concerns surrounding Kickstarter ‘bloat’. Backers can be assured that the Playtonic team is comprised of vastly experienced game developers, and we’ve carefully planned our stretch feature pledges to ensure that they won’t negatively impact on the creation of our game."
