“Kung Fu Panda 3″ will be released on January 29, 2016.

DreamWorks Animation has moved its animated family flick up from March 18, with the film now set to open against “The Finest Hours”, “The 5th Wave” and an untitled horror film from New Line.

The third installment in the franchise continues Po’s adventures of awesomeness. He must now face two hugely epic, but very different threats: one supernatural and the other a little closer to home.

“Kung Fu Panda 2″ helmer Jennifer Yuh Nelson returns to direct from a script by Jonathan Aibel and Glenn Berger.

Jack Black will reprise his role as Po with Gary Oldman, Dustin Hoffman, David Cross, Angelina Jolie, Michelle Yeoh, Mads Mikkelsen, Danny McBride, Lucy Liu, Seth Rogen, Jackie Chan, James Hong and Bryan Cranston.
