| It's something I've never been too sure about, tbh. WWE never mentions other wrestling companies other than WCW and ECW, but that's because they're dead and they own them. So, to them, other wrestling organisations do not exist.
On the flip side, TNA do the opposite and recognise many organisations all around the World mentioning them on TV rather regularly, especially when reading out one of their superstar's previous accomplishments. I presume RoH do the same, too.
Which do you think is best for a company to do? |

| Thing is WWE used to acknowledge others, particularly ECW in the 90s. I feel like they believe they'd be giving away free advertising. Whereas, I think it would be better because they can act like new starts might have some good accomplishments, that doesn't necessarily mean they'll be on par with WWE's guys, but it would give some early credibility to a new star. If they've won several heavyweight/world titles, that looks good. Maybe not as good as the WWE title, but it means that they aren't a push over.
Unfortunately, I don't see other companies being mentioned anytime before Vince is fully out of the company. |

| Does UFC ever pretends that if a guy came from Pride that he never fought before.
And there's a lot of times WWE has talked about Ring of Honor on it's website.
If you're trying to get someone over you might want to bring up a guy's past. It depends. I know ROH was pushing Mike Mondo. Of course they were not going to bring up his days as a cheerleader. |

| JBL specifically mentioned the IWGP title at Mania. Also yes, they should. Even if it's just "The independent circuit". |

| I always liked it when a new guy came into TNA, and Tenay was all "oh, this guy's done all this." It made the new guy seem established straight away. |

| I think there is a fine balance, tbh. I like the fact that TNA are not in their own bubble, pretending no other promotion actually exists, but at the same time I think they mention WWE far too much on their broadcast now. Listing titles they won makes them sound good, but I shouldn't hear WWE so much.
On the flipside, WWE being in a bubble 99% of the time is fucking annoying, like trying to make us believe Sting hasn't wrestled for 14 years <_< |
