"It's hard for me to answer that because things have changed over the last 5 years and certainly over the last 15 years when I Was really actively involved in the decision making process. When I was the architect of the majority of the creative, that was before the internet really. The internet was around, but a little bit, so really the only fan feedback you got correctly was from the arena, and feeling, not reading, feeling how the audience reacted to certain things. I would go incognito and watch not only WWE events but WCW events to feel how people were reacting to things. And to me, that fan reaction had a meaningful impact on the way I thought about a character or story or shaping ideas.

Now, you have the internet and digital media, which has evolved so much...It's changed the dynamic and I think it's safe to say that social media and the evolution of it is now really shaping and changing the challenges that anybody, and I'm not just talking about wrestling, anybody has to acknowledge. Whether you're producing a scripted series or a reality show...Even the general entertainment business today is being shaped and changed by social media. I'm sure it has an effect on WWE, but I don't have a pulse on how it effects the WWE."

Well there wasn't just the fans at the arenas. WCW was a huge TV and pay per view product.
