According to The New York Times, Leonard Nimoy has passed away at the age of 83. He passed away in his home in the Bel Air section of Los Angeles, and the cause of death was end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
Nimoy was an artist at heart, as he was heavily involved in poetry, photography and music in addition to acting. Nimoy is best known for his role of Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek series. He also made several appearances in the Star Trek movies.
