We previously reported that Alberto El Patron suffered a torn quadriceps injury during a match in Mexico last week.
Alberto was originally scheduled to wrestle Matt Hardy at Northeast Wrestling’s Wrestlefest XIX in Waterbury, Connecticut this past Friday, but the match was changed to a tag match.
Alberto ended up teaming with Hardy against the Young Bucks, and he was limited to a minimal amount of in-ring time. F4WOnline.com is reporting the promotion shot an angle where the Bucks attacked Alberto until Hardy made the save, and the tag match was made on the spot.
Alberto was said to have his leg wrapped during the tag match and Hardy wrestled the majority of the match by himself. He [Alberto] also took part in a meet & greet appearance before the show.
