Vogue Editor-in-chief Anna Wintour is hoping Kate Middleton will pose for the cover of Vogue’s September issue.

Anna has expressed her 'hope' that Kate will agree to be on the magazine's coveted September issue, the biggest edition of the year.

“Anna knows landing Kate for the September issue would be a huge coup, especially since Prince William’s wife has never done a magazine feature for a U.S. Publication,” a Vogue insider told Radar.

“Anna has been trying for the last two years to get Kate to agree and she’s always refused,” said the source. “But this time, Anna has stepped up the campaign, and is now enlisting her numerous high powered connections.”

65-year-old Anna believes Kate's charity work and clean image will help increase sales of the magazine.

33-year-old Kate is due her second baby in April.
