The crowd is generally mixed for both competitors. As fresh faces to the crowd, no one is quite sure what to expect and as such don't react with great passion one way or the other. Jellal begins to circle the ring but Van looks on perplexed. Jellal stops in his tracks, confused about his opponent. Jellal looks forward and starts to walk directly toward his opponent, taking slow, calculated steps to make sure he's not attacked. Van continues to squint at his opponent with an awkward confusion before suddenly screaming for “The Stripe Man” to come to him. The referee, looking as confused as everyone else, walks toward Van and asks him what's wrong. Van, facing the hard camera, says “Who is that?” loud enough for it to be picked up on the referee's mic.  “Your.... Your opponent” the referee replies. “Oh” says Van as he quickly turns away from the referee as he smiles wide for the camera on the ramp. Fans in the front area let out huge boos as they've caught on this is not a character meant to take seriously. Jellal looks on with the same realization, but contempt on his face. Jellal walks forward at a brisk pace, with his hands down by his hips before lifting his right arm and placing his palm on Van's chest and throwing him backward into the ropes. Jellal rips off right hand after right hand that bounces Van back off the ropes and back into another fist. Jellal raises his left hand and grabs Van by his right arm and Irish Whips him into the other side of the ropes, where he wraps his arms around the top rope and stops his momentum before dropping to the mat and sliding out of the ring. His antics are once again booed by the live crowd. The referee comes to that side of the ring to begin to count him out, but before he can, Van once again screams out “Stripe Man!” The referee, already tired of his bullshit, just tells him to get back in the ring. “Stripe Man!” he yells once again, but gets no response. The referee starts to count him out, but Van doesn't know what's going on and just stands there looking confused. The referee explains to him that if he gets to 10 before Van gets in the ring, he'll lose the match. Van exclaims “WHAT!?” and starts to panic, pacing back and forth looking worried. The referee gets to 5 and once again asks Van to get back in the ring. He refuses. The referee gets to six and Van just starts screaming “No!”. … “8!” “No!” “Just get in the ring Van!” … Van once again is overcome with a look of confusion as he looks at the camera, smiles wide, and says “Oh.” as he rolls into the ring. Before he can get up, though, Jellal dives down on top of him and starts firing in right hands. The crowd responds favorably to this because he is doing what they wish they could.

The referee starts counting quickly and for a brief moment it looks like a legitimate wrestling contest. After a couple of counts, Jellal breaks his grip and rolls backward to let Van get up, but as he does he's met immediately with action as Jellal grabs him, pushes him into the ropes, and throws him for another Irish Whip. Van springs off the ropes and runs into a leaping leg lariat from Jellal. Jellal bounces to his feet quickly while Van writhes in agony on the mat, screaming out for god to help him. Jellal reaches down and picks Van up by his head and throws him into the corner and follows quickly with a short area, high impact clothesline that brings Van's legs off the mat like he's taking a reflex test. Jellal grabs him with force and throws him into the opposite corner and sprints in with a Stinger Splash. “The Plan” drops to his knees as Jellal turns his back and spins, sending a spinning back heel right into the chest of Van, knocking him back into the turnbuckles. Van grabs his chest with his hands and tries to scream something but can't, as the wind has been knocked from his lungs. He reaches back and grabs the middle ropes, but as he does, Jellal grabs him by the ankles and lifts him up. Jellal's amazing strength is on display as Van shoots into the air and Jellal catches him in Power Bomb position, spinning him 180 degrees before dropping him in the middle of the ring with a Power Bomb, but Jellal doesn't break his grip. Instead, Jellal lifts him off the mat and picks him back up into Power Bomb position and runs toward the corner and throws him back first into the corner. Jellal sprints in another direction toward ropes on the hard camera side of the ring before bouncing back and returning, connecting with a sickening clothesline that flips Van in a Phoenix Splash motion before he lands on his face. Van's neck recoils as he grabs at his face. The crowd pops for the flip. Jellal once again grabs Van by the head and lifts him to his feet, but he's mostly dead weight at this point. Jellal picks him up and throws him into the corner, following him with a determined, almost arrogant walk. Jellal bends at the waist and leans into a right elbow shot that collides with Van's left hip as he tenses up and exhales in pain. Jellal plants his right leg and explodes out of a crouched position and throws a left forearm that brushes Van across the face and turns his body in the corner. Jellal grabs the top rope with both hands on either side of Van and pulls back before leaping forward, throwing both knees into the kidney area of Van. Van drops to both knees in the corner with his left should facing the turnbuckles as his right hand massages his kidney and he appears to dry-heave. After his double-knee thrust in the corner, Jellal landed on his feet and did a reverse somersault than moved him into the center of the ring with theatrics that brought the crowd to a mild cheer.

Jellal explodes out of a one-kneed stance and sprints at his downed opponent, connecting with a middle-rope Helluva kick that sends Van's head crashing into the middle rope in a collision that looks similar to a head-on car crash. Van's body goes limp on impact as he falls down, his head bouncing off the middle rope along the way. Jellal looks down at his opponent with a look of confidence. He calls out to the referee “Hey stripe man...” and the referee looks up from the carnage with a stare that seems to signify that he's not fully registering the conversation he's having. Jellal, while still looking down at his opponent says “Who is that?” in a calm voice. The referee looks confused as his focus shifts back and forth quickly from Van's lifeless body and the person asking for his attention. “Come on now, stripe man … who is that?” he asks again. The referee says “Van Scarburough” in a shallow voice, not quite grasping the situation. Jellal says “Oh” and lets out a big grin. After a short pause, the referee bursts out in laughter. The crowd once again gives out a mild cheer. Jellal bends at the waist and reaches down for an ankle and a wrist from his opponent, as he drags him from the corner of the ring into the middle, looking to end the match. Jellal goes down to both knees before hooking his opponent's leg and going for a cover. 1. 2. Kickout at the last second. The crowd, the referee, and Jellal himself let out a collective gasp. Jellal lets out a bit of a chuckle as he looks at the referee, who can only reply with the same shocked face he's had the majority of the match. Jellal stands up slowly, looking down with a slight smirk at an opponent he thought was finished. Jellal uses both hands to wrap around the back of his neck and coax his opponent to his feet. However, once Van gets to his feet, he shoots his arms upward and out, breaking the grasp that Jellal had. Quickly he fires a right hand and it connects with the orbital bone of Jellal sending him a half step back as his arms flail outward. He hits a second punch, and then a third. Van grabs Jellal by the wrist and Irish Whips him into the ropes and, upon, his return, goes for a Clothesline... but his arm smacks Jellal in the chest and nothing happens. Jellal looks at his long-haired opponent with the kind of look Ralphie May gives a Buffet. Jellal fires back with a clothesline of his own that appears to buckle Van's spine as he snaps backward and his shoulder blades collide with the mat as he falls over himself, looking like a human pretzel. Jellal torques his lower body backward and spins into a right thrust kick into the back of his opponent, a move that echos throughout the arena. The crowd and the referee once again join together for a collective gasp as the referee lets out a visual cringe as he squints and his mouth gets wide in response to the sound a human's flesh just made. The kick sends Van's upper and lower body with enough momentum that he flips out of pretzel position and lands on his stomach.

Van's taking short, choppy breaths. He's conscious, and in excruciating pain. Jellal looks down with a smirk again and wipes the sweat from his brow. Van starts to stir, implying he may get up on his own. Jellal looks on patiently as his opponent plants his hands into the mat and tries to get up. He gets to one knee and makes eye contact with the referee, in between large breaths, Van brings his hands up by his face and makes a “T” while stuttering out the words “tah... tah... time... out. … time out....” as he continues to exhale. The referee says plainly that he can't accept that request, but Jellal, amused, says that he'll grant his request. The announcers send us to a commercial break while Jellal laughs at his opponent. After the commercial, and a nice two minute break, Van is ready to get back to action. He's caught his breath and lets out an excited “time in” as he moves his hands from the “T” he had formed. The referee shakes his head in disgust. Jellal shakes his head in disbelief, as his facial expression seems to show joy.

PostSubject: Re: M3 | Jellal vs. Van "The Plan" Scarburough    M3 | Jellal vs. Van "The Plan" Scarburough EmptySat Feb 21, 2015 6:59 pm

Jellal doesn’t know how to react on the situation. Pain is what he expected to be filling the body of his opposition. The damage he’s been inflicting is putting a smile on the face of Van. Not being good enough to beat this guy runs through his head for a second. It can’t be that Jella is unable to defeat a mere fool in competition. Jellal looks frightened by the fact that his only skill may have been taken away from him. The painted star lifts his right arm and grasps onto his opposite arm. Jellal start digging his nails into his own flesh. The fans look confused, others are disturbed. The referee watches as blood is pouring down the new arrivals arm. Jellal continues to press down until he finally gets a huge smile on his face. He’s felt it; pain. He was able to inflict pain on himself, which means he can do the same to his opponents. Laughter comes from Jellal who had been worried for a second; he felt he would no longer be any use to Aizen. Van looks at Jella before looking back at the referee. “Stripe man!” he yells at “He’s hurting himself, shall I do the same?” Van says to the referee. His fellow strip man looks confused as ever for what is turning out to be a rather odd match. “Is this a new kind of competition? He think he’s tough, watch this.” Van tells the referee. He puts his hand over his arm, as if Van is prepared to do the exact same thing Jellal did. ‘The Plan’ appears to have come up with a strategy which will put fear in the heart of his foe. He prepared to squeeze down on his hand, but before he could continue his games, is taken down. Jella darts at his opposition, driving his left elbow to the face of Van. Fans cheer as they see the man making a mockery out of everything back on the ground. Jella sits on the chest of his foe while dropping closed fist to Vans face. Shot after shot Scarburough tries to cover his face but there’s too much power with every blow. Finally Jella is finished with his assault, but has no intention of slowing down the pace. He lifts Van up to the vertical base before tossing him to the nearest turnbuckle. Dashing at his opponent, Scarburough is too slow to make any counter movements. Jellal leaps to the air with both feet out in front of him, connecting with a dropkick that leaves Van in a seated position.

The painted star rolls to his knees while Van looks like a dead dog hanging his head on the second rope. Jellal takes a moment to look at his opponents face. What is this expression his opponent is giving, it doesn’t look like pain, and it doesn’t look like happiness. Pathetic, that would be the one word most people would use to sum up Van right now, but Jellal still seems to be confused. After all, he is a man who understands very few emotions. Jellal has finally had it with his opponent’s games. He wants the expression that every man gives him when they are close to losing. Jellal wants that look of desperation on his opponents face. He wants his adversary to fight him as though everything is on the line. The painted star leans on his knees with his hands across from his body. He’s begging Van to come up and strike him. Scarburough opens his eyes to find his opponent pleading to him “Take your best shot” Jellal says. He wants his opponent to fight back; he wants to feel that pain, that shine of light his opponents get when they are near victory, only for him to take it away. Van gets to a vertical base; his opposition is on his knees giving him the opening he needs. “Granted” says Van while looking at the referee. Many people in the arena are confused, the referee doesn’t quite understand what’s going on “He’s asking for a timeout” Vans tells the referee, who at this point wants to jump off a bridge. Jellal lowers his arms, confused once again; he can’t understand why his opponent didn’t take the shot. Jellal lifts his head, as he prepares to get back on his feet; Van comes out of nowhere taking him down with a clothesline! “Breaks over!” he screams off the top of his lungs while Jellals head whip-lashes off the canvas.

A chorus of boos is being heard through the arena, everybody really starting to hate this new Van character. Jella gets back to a vertical base but he is quickly met with a clothesline from Van! Scarburough is starting to feel it now. The momentum is going towards him now as Jella gets up but met once again with a clothesline. Jellal tries one more time but again, Van is erupting with clotheslines back and forth, not letting his opponent stay on a footed base. The painted star now struggles to make it back on his feet that last shot really took a lot out of him. With his opponent down, Van knows now is the time to put the match away. ‘The Plan’ is ready to blow everybody’s minds as he stands in the nearest turnbuckle, stalking his prey. Fans anxiously watch to see what Van has in store to send this match to its conclusion. Once Jellal is up on both feet, Van darts towards his adversary! Jellal sees his foe coming but its already too late to make any counter attack! Van almost rips his opponents head off as he drives his right arm across the throat of Jellal, connecting with a clothesline! Many people in the arena are quite disappointed by this, it’s as if Van doesn’t have more than five moves in his skill set, but he’s killing it with those clotheslines regardless. Van goes for the cover on his opponent, thinking for sure he has the match won but he only gets a two count before Jellal kicks out. Van is left in shock, he hit a dozen clotheslines and was still unable to put his opponent away, what else can he do?
