According to The Wrestling Observer, Jamie Noble was the main producer for this year’s Royal Rumble match, with Joey Mercury assisting him. Noble and Mercury are of course known on WWE TV as J&J security.

Other notable names who had a hand in producing the Rumble match this year are Pat Patterson, “Road Dogg” Brian James and Michael “PS” Hayes.

James being involved in the booking of the match likely explains why he wasn’t happy when he went on Twitter following the PPV and saw people calling the Rumble match the worst ever.

I thought it wasn't too bad tbh. I just hated that finish and also didn't want to see Reigns win it.

Well I was so bored by the match I couldn't watch it half way through. The match was brought down by poor lazy booking.
