The winners of the Golden Globes aren’t officially announced until later today – but it may be that we’ve gotten a sneak peek at the winning movies already.
On Friday evening, the Globes website showed last year's winners with accompanying photos next to each category.
Under the two sections for Best Motion Picture, Drama and Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, however, the names of two new movies were listed.
Selma and Into the Woods were shown under the winners for each category, but snapshots of the 2014 winners (American Hustle and 12 Years a Slave) were shown.
The Hollywood Foreign Press Association, which runs the annual awards, referred all inquiries to its site administrator, Bluefin and the tech company issued a statement insisting that it was a routine glitch.
"While testing the official website of the Golden Globe Awards for Sunday's ceremony, Bluefin inadvertently took the test live. We randomly selected two film titles with no knowledge of the category winners. We are solely responsible for the error."
Whether or not the statement is true remains to be seen, but we'' find out when the winners are announced on Sunday.
