Super meh on the show. Just wasn't what I'm sure people will claim it was. Bright spot of the night was Ibushi vs Nakamura. Storytelling that transcended language...

But Okada and Tanahashi was only OK. No "classics" on the card.

Wrestling level very comparable to the ROH show I went to, and I'd give ROH the advantage.

Ill be catching the replay tonight, seeing i wasnt about to stay up till 6 AM to see it live

I think the show was better than meh. But even it being a good show was a let down. Okada vs. Tanahashi was better than okay. But not as good as I was expecting. I'll agree with Ian that Ibushi vs Nakamura was match of the night though.

The show was better than the meh but it did not live up the hype. How many shows have you seen in the last 12 months that were better? It was supposed to be "the best wrestling show of the year." It wasn't.

It's the fifth of January. How many shows in 2015 have you seen better?

Well Wrestlemania, Bound For Glory and Final Battle are the top shows for their promotion as well. Most of the time they're not the best shows of the year though.

But I'm allowed to say "Bound for Glory was meh. It didn't live up to the hype"

If Bound for Glory was meh that would exceed all my expectations.

Bound for Glory was meh because it was a thrown together show with no buildup except for the main event, plus the Japanese crowd were too "Americanized" for my liking during that. 

Finally got to watch most of the replay last night though, man....Nakamura/Ibushi is easily a MOTY candidate. I had a friend of mine who's never watched NJPW before watching it last night and he enjoyed it from top to bottom. At the end of the day this wasnt a show catered to us, it was a show catered to the people who have never seen the product, and that's why it may be meh to some and amazing to others. I enjoyed it though.

Watched all of this show yesterday, on top of it being a great show, its awesome to hear American commentary with Jim Ross on NJPW wrestling!
