TNA will be taping the January 16th and January 23rd episodes of Impact Wrestling tonight at New York’s Manhattan Center. The Hardys versus The Wolves had been previously announced for tonight, and TNA will also record the free-to-air TNA Lockdown special.

New TNA announcer Josh Mathews will continue to use the same name, as well as same spelling, as he did while he was with WWE. There was some concern that Mathews, real name Josh Lomberger, would use a different name but this is not the case since he appeared on TNA TV with the same name.

Mathews had debuted in WWE as “Josh Matthews” in 2002, but later changed it to the spelling with one ‘t’ (Mathews).

Several fan chants were edited from last night’s show, including the fans telling MVP to ‘shut the f*ck up’ during the opening segment, as well as chanting ‘bullshit’ after Bobby Lashley had won the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Dixie Carter Comments On Impact

TNA President Dixie Carter recently commented on last night’s episode of Impact Wrestling, the premiere edition on Destination America.

Carter was not in attendance because she is in Los Angeles to attend the Television Critics Association Press Tour on behalf of Destination America. Carter will speak at the TCA presser later today, but added the following about last night’s show:
