- The ongoing saga of Rey Mysterio’s WWE status continues. As previously reported, there was a plan put together to have Mysterio involved in a storyline that would run from Survivor Series through WrestleMania, but that obviously never happened.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, that storyline would have ended in Mysterio’s likely departure from the company. With the storyline being dropped, there are no plans to bring Mysterio back in and Creative has been told not to worry about coming up with anything for him.

He should be a trainer at the performance center instead. He should have a proper send-off though. That guy was well-loved at one point. Dunno if he still is cause I've been checking the results/watching the last minutes of a match on WWE's youtube channel instead of watching the shows recently.
