Eddie Edwards and Davey Richards are no longer under contract with Ring of Honor according to PWInsider.com.

Both are expected to be at the WWE Performance Center is September. The plan is WWE will give them a solid evaluation and decide if they have a spot for them on the roster.

Te be blunt, while Richards is an extraordinarily gifted athlete with tremendous talent at his disposal, his lack of coherent storytelling is a bit of a turn off and others consider him to be "everything that's wrong with wrestling today" for that reason. I do not as I can appreciate a dazzling athletic display, but I'm not so sure what's special about Richards compared to other workers in the independent scene that would draw you away so completely.

That moment when I'm just now finding out Davey is tiny as fuck. I thought he was like 6'4, 240 pounds.

What made you think that?

I'm not saying Davey should ever touch a WWE title, but I was a fan of his work in indies. I agree he can't tell a story and he should stay in the mid card at best. That said, I still did like watching him in INDIES (not mainstream wrestling) so with him gone, I really can't think of anyone besides Super Dragon that is in the indies that I like.

Davey Richards won't get a job with the WWE. From everything I've ever heard he's just not the kind of guy the WWE hires, especially at 5'7. He's an annoying, arrogant, prick. Eddie Edwards will get a job. Davey will stay working crap shows.

I must concur that if you believe Davey Richards is "the indie standard" for wrestling, then you should probably expose yourself to more athletes that are similar to him in style and ability, such as the ones listed above.

Bryan Danielson was never entertaining overall. He made his name off of being a great wrestler with no gimmick, which in turn became his gimmick. He went out and handled business.

That is not what is being presented with Daniel Bryan.
