WWE NXT
December 18, 2014

-Adrian Neville starts off the show and praised Sami Zayn for his match “last week” at Takeover. He wanted to congratulate him in person, but he can’t because of what Kevin Owens did after their amazing match. Out comes Owens, who says he’ll take out anyone in his way to get to the top. He assumes because Neville is in the ring he’s looking for a fight, and tonight he’s found one.

(1) Becky Lynch def. Bayley via submission.

(2) Bull Depsey def. another enhancement talent.

(3) Baron Corbin def. another enhancement talent.

-Bull and Baron had yet another stare-down, but not physical exchange yet.

(4) The Ascension def. Enzo Amore & Big Cass.

-The Ascension cut a promo about Finn Balor and Hideo Itami. Apparently their feud isn’t over yet.

(5) Adrian Neville vs. Kevin Owens ends in a “no contest” after a very good match. Owens threw him into the ring post and knocked him out.

-After the match, Owens picked him up and powerbombed Neville into the ring apron. He was stretched out to end the show, just like Takeover.

WWE NXT
December 25, 2014 (This show might air the following week due to the holiday)

Merry Christmas!

-Ric Flair comes out to introduce NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte. It’s unclear if Flair being there will be on the show or not, or if it was a brief dark segment for the fans.

(1) Charlotte def. Sasha Banks to retain the NXT Womens’ Championship in a rematch from NXT Takeover.

(2) The Lucha Dragons def. Jason Jordan & Tye Dillinger. This was a non-title match. The Vaudevillians came out and attacked the Dragons, so it appears that program will continue as well.

(3) Leva Bates def. Carmella. Carmella was distracted by Enzo Amore, who won’t stop flirting with her. After the loss, Carmella slapped him and ran off by herself. Leva Bates was first introduced as “Ole Blue Pants” a few months ago, and was super over with the NXT fans because of the nickname (and because she’s great).

(4) Baron Corbin def. CJ Parker. Bull Depsey was watching from the crowd.

-Corbin got on the mic and asked Dempsey why he was standing in the crowd, and asked if he was scared. He pulled Dempsey over the barricade and the two fought until officials broke them up. FINALLY.

(5) Hideo Itami & Finn Balor def. The Ascension. Another Takeover rematch that was pretty decent. Itami got the win for his team with a spin kick.

WWE NXT
January 1, 2015 (This show might air the following week due to the holiday)

-Sami Zayn came out to a massive pop to kick off the first episode of NXT in 2015. Before he got in the ring he jumped into the crowd and had a championship celebration with the fans. Eventually he got to the ring and put over the title match at Takeover, and said that holding the title means your the best in the business. For him, it also means that he was able to get the job done “his way”, in refence to not cheating at Takeover. Sami says that night should have been the best of his life, but instead he was put in a stretcher because of his “best friend” Kevin Owens. He tells Kevin that he was hurt, but he wasn’t killed, and he’s right here ready to defend the title any time.

-Out comes Adrian Neville, who puts over Sami for being the better man in their match. He calls Zayn a “new man” that proved him wrong, and he definitely won “the big one” when it mattered most. The champ asked if he was out to ask for a rematch, and William Regal hit the scene. He praised them both and called their match “one for the ages”, then announced the rematch for the 1/8 show.

(1) Sasha Banks def. Alexa Bliss. Sasha is not in a happy mood after losing to Charlotte, twice.

(2) Tyler Breeze def. Chad Gable.

(3) Lucha Dragons def. The Vaudevillians to retain the NXT Tag Team Championships in another Takeover rematch.

-WWE Superstar Curtis Axel is here.

(4) Hideo Itami def. Curtis Axel in singles competition.

WWE NXT
January 8, 2015

(1) Finn Balor def. Tyson Kidd in singles action, in a very good match. Balor pulled out the double foot stomp again, to the back of the head.

(2) Sasha Banks & Becky Lynch def. Charlotte & Bayley. Banks took advantage of a distraction and pinned the champion with a roll-up and a handful of tights.

(3) Baron Corbin def. Bull Dempsey. This match only lasted about 2 or 3 minutes, which is a huge disappointment after they’ve been teasing it for the last month (and it will be two months by the time this show airs). At least the right guy went over.

(4) Sami Zayn def. Adrian Neville to retain the NXT Championship. This match was said to be very good, but not quite at the level of their 20-minute classic at Takeover.

-After the match, Kevin Owens hit the ring and attacked Sami Zayn. Sami tried to recover, but Owens kicked the title belt into his face to knock him out.
