Warner Bros. has pushed back the release date of its upcoming version of Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book, Jungle Book: Origins, to October 2017 from October 2016.

The film was originally set for an October 21, 2016 release. The film will now be released on October 6, 2017. Andy Serkis is attached to direct the project and play the role of Baloo.

Disney will release its own live-action update of The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau, first on October 9, 2015.
