- 2K Sports had a Twitter Q&A yesterday answering a ton of questions about the game’s Xbox One and PS4 version that releases on November 18th. Check out some of the highlights:
1) The current-gen (Xbox One, PS4) version will have slots to create up to 25 wrestlers, down from the 100 for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions. This is because of the graphically superior nature of the current-gen version, which limited how many slots they could utilize. They are working to increase the number in the future.
2) You can have up to six wrestlers in the ring at the same time.
3) The Paint Tool was done away with, but a new feature is being implemented that improves on it.
4) The Universe Mode is an offline-only mode.
5) The main menu will be different on the current-gen version than on the Xbox 360/PS3 version.
6) The MyCareer mode is, much like it is in the NBA 2K franchise, a single-player game mode. If run through to its conclusion, it will be about fifteen years in-game.
7) The roster is less than older games due to the fact that there is no Road to Wrestlemania mode. This cut out the need for a lot of the superstars.
8) 2K Sports facially scanned 90% of the wrestlers used in the game. The Rock was not one of them.
9) Divas are editable in the exact same way as male talent. Paige’s release date will be announced soon, and she will have an up-to-date moveset.
10) Online policies will be enforced more strictly.
11) The Shield have separate entrances and attires, and while Ambrose and Rollins don’t have their newer looks it can be created for them.
12) While there isn’t face scanning technology in the game for CAWs, 2K is hoping to add that in the future.
13) The commentary on the current-gen consoles is more polished, but otherwise the same, as the Xbox 360/PS3 versions.
14) The WWE World Championship is not in the game.
15) Lana is the only manager who cannot be paired with any other superstar; she is only pairable with Rusev.
16) All CAW stars can be used in MyCareer mode.
17) Playing through MyCareer allows access to NXT talent, which can be unlocked for use in the rest of the game.
18) Everyone on the roster can be edited and there are more options to do so. There is no custom music, but it is in mind for future games
