The Last House on the Left (1972)Terror Level: Low I thought this was going to be like The Texas Chainsaw Massacre from what I heard of it. It ended up being really different. I'm was kinda disappointed but the movie was alright. The ending did deliver.

The Beyond (1981)Terror Level: Medium I really wanted to like this movie. It's gory and the soundtrack is good. But the plot and story and story is just garbage. Honestly at one point the movie just seems like it's just about jump scares. And there was no real climax. What pisses me off is that it has a 7/10 rating on IMDB. VERY overrated. I gave it a 2/10.

The Bat (1959)Terror Level: None This was more of a thriller than a horror film. It was alright. This movie had a few good twists and turns.

Prince of Darkness (1987)Terror Level: Medium A bit religious for my tastes. Not one of the better John Carpenter movies.

I'm not too sure how I feel about this movie. I enjoyed it, but I didn't like the ending. I'll give it a 3/5 yo.

The Curse of Frankenstein (1957)Terror Level: Low This was an alright film. Not as good as the Boris Karloff movie. But I give them credit. They didn't want to make a remake and tried to be different. While Karloff as The Monster was just ignorant Lee was homicidal, though not very much smarter.

The Last Man on Earth (1964)Terror Level: Low This is a weird adaption of I Am Legend. Or maybe it isn't. I don't know I never read the book. But the vampires are slow. And they're like Dracula which is weird for this story. It's an alright film. I think the Will Smith movie is better though.

The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (1920)Terror Level: Low Man the set for this film were CRAZY! It seem almost nothing had a straight line. This film was art. Cesare looked creepy.

Poltergeist (1982)Terror Level: Medium I thought this movie would be a lot worse from what Meth said about it I don't think it belongs with horror classics like The Shinning or Frankenstein but it's a good movie with a few good scares. I thought the ending was funny with the dad not wanting to have a TV in their motel room

The Fog (1980)Terror Level: Low This movie was alright. Kind of a let down. I was expecting something better since it's between John Carpenter's Halloween and Escape from New York, two movies I love. But I don't ever see anyone talk about this film. It was really weird to see Tom Atkins without his mustache

Phantom of the Paradise (1974)Terror Level: None This wasn't a real horror film. There's a few scares but this was more of a thriller/comedy. There's nothing really horrific until the end when you see Swan and Leach's faces. Whatever this is a good film. It's funny and the music is good. And I just marked out when Rod Serling did the opening narration to the movie.

| Horror movies I've seen recently:
The Den - great movie 8.5/10 but it's hardly a horror, more on the mystery/thriller side that it's listed as
Exeter - joke of a movie lol... 2-3/10 at best
My Soul To Take - wasn't bad at all, I give it a 7/10
Charlie's Farm - seriously boring, like a 3/10
The Town That Dreaded Sundown - also a solid movie, either 7 or 7.5/10 |

The Sacrament (2013)Terror Level: Medium This is a movie based off of Jonestown and the mass suicides there. It was creepy how blindly some of these people followed the "Father." The movie was okay. They tried to make the movie seem like it was a documentary but then they used shots where they wouldn't have a camera.

Legion (2010)Terror Level: Medium This film has something to it, there was some feeling of dread here and there, but it didn't quite cut the mustard. I probably didn't enjoy as much as other did because I'm not a religious person but honestly this is not a classic like It's A Wonderful Life, which got a cameo in this movie.

Madhouse (1974)Terror Level: Medium This movie tried to be what Targets was for Boris Karoff but this time with Vincent Price. Some of the sets really were throwbacks to his earlier films. This movie isn't Targets but it's alright. We do get some creepy parts. It wasn't even the killing or Dr. Death that scared me the most but rather Herbert's insane wife. This is a lot like Price's other films and even has a fun twist at the end. Hell they even had Price record a song for the film or one he did before. I'd watch and enjoy it again but only because I'm such a big fan of Vincent Price and Peter Crushing.

Saw (2004)Terror Level: Low This movie isn't scary but man it's a great thriller. There's a lot of suspense and some great twist and turns. I was at the edge of my seat the last 10 minutes. Very good film. Hopefully the rest of the series is at least okay.

Freaks (1932)Terror Level: None This movie featured a lot real life sideshow "freaks." It's kinda sad that people were legit horrified by this movie back then. It's cool that Dracula and Frankenstein used to scare people but this featured real people. The part that scared me the most was when Hercules threw Phroso onto an oven.

Saw II (2005)Terror Level: High This was almost as good as the first film. And it was more scary! It didn't give me the spooks but it was very gruesome! It wasn't the blood and gore that got me really. I mean it was hard to watch when the guy threw the girl into that pit of needles. The idea is just horrible!

Planet of the Vampires (1965)Terror Level: Medium I was interested in this movie because it inspired Alien. It wasn't great but it was certainly worth watching. The aliens were not really vampires so I was kinda thrown off by the movie title. They should have just kept the Italian title Terror In Space.

And the pack I have has 7 films from a series that started 11 years ago. |
