ECW or The Attitude era?

They won't shut up about either. Not so much ECW anymore but at one time it was getting annoying.

Unless you look at specific content on the WWE Network, I don't think they force any of these two things much at all on live air.

I'm more annoyed w/ them promoting the WWE Network every 2 seconds if anything.

^that. Having to listen to Michael Cole promoting that shit every damn second during a match is much of a buzzkill. I don't even think they bother about calling the matches anymore. No storytelling, nothing. Just advertising...

I'm not aware of the WWE shoving either down our throats. In terms of what the fans go on about though, definitely the Attitude Era.

Even Cena ended a promo by saying "You can get the WWE network for only $9.99!"

The way the WWE pushes the Attitude Era as the be all and end all of wrestling is pretty awful. The MNW series with the current guys circlejerking about how the AE is so much better than today is pretty awful. I'm not expecting the WWE to point out the awful parts of the AE and how there was far better actual wrestling elsewhere and all that, but jesus.

As far as ECW, I just sort of wish they focused more on the storylines instead of just the hardcore stuff. How often does WWE mention Raven vs Dreamer, or how Malenko was pushed, or Lawler vs ECW, compared to how often they'll talk about the hardcore stuff? That and they need to stop acting like Jericho and Austin were big ECW guys when they had a combined like 12 matches there.

I hate how the Attitude Era receives God-like praise from the fans

The Attitude Era is what saved wrestling, that's why it gets the praise that it does. If it weren't for that boom period the sport would of died off and nobody would of cared.

As far as the question goes....I rarely see them talk about ECW and when they do talk about the AE its to plug the Network and also, JBL was apart of the AE so of course he has a hard on for it.

If you think that wrestling=WWE only then yes, you're correct. Otherwise, no. Hypothetically if the WWF died around the steroid trial times, WCW would've done better, ECW would've done better, and Japan and Mexico would carry on. To claim that the Attitude Era "saved wrestling" is very obtuse.

WWE never shuts up about either of them. During 06 and onwards every month there was an ECW DVD coming out. ECW something something vol 1. ECW unseen hardcore something vol. 2. Every month their was like a new ECW DVD.

With the Attitude era on the wwe network, they are treating like that is more important then what is going on right now. make sure you tune into right after raw watch the amazingness of attitude era, watch such and such and when such and such did this. during a match they would plug it, during a serious moment they plug it.

Yeah as a whole the plug the network way too damn much. But right now they won't stupid up about the attitude era on the network
