| WWE and Bill Goldberg are now in talks, which adds to the list of the people who in the past it seemed they would never do business with. Goldberg, even more than Ultimate Warrior, had been someone in the past they had wanted no involvement with, but the policy now seems to be to mend fences with any former superstar to the public who had past bitterness. There has been talk of him doing next year’s WrestleMania. I don’t know that it’s against Ryback, but I almost can’t imagine it wouldn’t be.
Goldberg would be 47, but still trains hard and is in good shape and has been open to the idea of doing one big match because his son wasn’t born during his heyday and never saw him as a wrestling star. Plus, there’s always a potential Hall of Fame since he has a name, even though in the past HHH buried the idea of Goldberg in the Hall of Fame saying he didn’t have enough longevity. But views change over time and HHH was tremendously conciliatory to Bruno Sammartino and tried to be with Warrior as well.

| I don't think he could come back full time but I would like to see a match between him and Ryback because they are so similar |

| I don't want Goldberg to come back if it's just to put over Ryback |

| Holy shit would Goldberg vs. Ryback be awful. Ryback is crap as it is and without someone to take his offense he'll look even more crap. Goldberg is 47 year old crap. If you want to do something with these two, beat a dead horse with this Ryback is a fucking asshole angle and have Goldberg run down and hit him with the Jackhammer. No match, just one spot. |

| Fuck Goldberg vs. Ryback. You all want Goldberg vs. Lesnar all over again? Fuck that...
I'd mark for a Goldberg return in some form, however. |

| It makes sense storyline wise. Not every match needs to be about the match itself. It doesn't matter if the match ends up being crap (Which I doubt, both men are capable of putting on an entertaining spectacle, whether or not it's a good technical match), as long as the story works. |

| lol they can put on an entertaining spectacle? Ryback vs Mark Henry ring a bell? Matches tell stories, if a match is bad, the story is for nothing. |

| I don't know how it would work out, Ryback is OK as a wrestler but Goldberg doesn't seem to be all fit for now. Wouldn't mind seeing Goldy back though. |

| Wouldn't mind it if it means Ryback gets a huge win. Or it ends in a draw |

| Goldberg needs to stay gone, and leave the memories alone. |

| The story was bad. That was my argument. I don't care about the match. |

| You should, cause the matches are telling the story as well. Not everything is about promo ability |

| You need a semi-decent match at the very least otherwise the story means jackshit. |

| I agree the match plays a giant part of the story, but what I'm saying is that not every good story needs a 5 star match. Sting vs Undertaker would be an AMAZING story. Possibly the best story of either man's career, simply because they are the biggest of the companies, they have an immense follow-up, etc. But truth be told, they're both old. The match itself would MORE THAN LIKELY NOT be great. Does that mean we should never see Taker vs Sting? Absolutely not, that'd still be a spectacle.
Same story here. |

| Well I did say semi-decent, hence why I love the Attitude-Era so much. Not everything is 5 star matches with 500 variations of a damn suplex, but it's entertaining. As long as it's entertaining, it's all good.
But if the match is shit, it nullifies everything else really. |

| I agree with that I don't think Ryback vs Goldberg would be shit though. I mean, I'm sure it won't be a technical beauty, but it could resemble some more 2004 Ruthless Aggression style wrestling with lots of brawling. |

| Some of the greatest and most talked about matches of all time all weren't amazing in ring skills. |

| I don't mind Goldberg coming back for 1 match and a Hall Of Fame induction. But don't want him as a part time or a full time wrestler. |
