- According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE's deal with Jerry Springer to appear on Raw next week was a last-minute thing. The appearance wasn't mentioned on WWE Main Event despite the fact that it was announced on WWE.com just before the show aired, adding credence to the idea that the deal was likely done on short notice.

WWE is pushing next week's Raw as the "season premiere" and will be using that push for the rest of the week. The show will be up against Monday Night Football and is expected to take a hit as a result, so they are doing what they can to minimize the ratings loss.
