Before we get started, this isnt about spoilers for taped shows like Impact or Smackdown, this is for shows that either air live on iPPV or shows that are taped for DVD. That being said, lets get started:

For those dont know, i'm part of a wrestling podcast that sometimes covers the independent shows. ROH, PWG, CHIKARA, you name it, we'll talk about it. But today in our Skype chat, something set me off...one of our guys went on a tirade because the ending to PWG's Battle of Los Angeles was talked about in the chat. Now know we're always talking about shows as they happen and this was no exception.....the guy whining in question has been known to talk NJPW as the shows happen and i havent been able to watch live. Apparently that's irrelevant to PWG being spoiled.

Small rant over, does reading the results of iPPV, PPV or Taped-For-DVD shows stop you from going back and watching them? If so, why?

Results will only stop me from watching a show if the show sounds like shit. If the report is favorable, or sounds entertaining, then it'll encourage me to watch it sooner. For me, it's ultimately up to the quality of the show.

While I don't watch any of those, spoilers definitely make everything a lot less fun.

Spoilers never did bother me. I enjoy a lot of classic matches knowing who's going to win.

Agree. Usually, if I know who's going to win, I'll still watch to see HOW the person reaches that outcome. I'd still watch the match to see the person come out on top, but I think that it's better to be left out of the spoiler circle.

Of course I still enjoy matches when I know who wins, but I enjoy them like 30x more if I don't. Part of the fun is not knowing who's going to win, especially in big/important matches.
