Ding, Ding, Ding!!!

As our referee Ryn Sanu signals for the ring bell both men stare each other down, neither moving. Andrews gives a small nod and after a second Riley returns the nod, With that little sign of respect, the two men get down to business. Their postures change, their eyes narrow, focusing on the man across from the ring, and in the passing of a single second the atmosphere inside the arena changes. The two men begin with the traditional circling of the ring, neither desperate to make the first move in a match that will surely be decided by tiny split second mistakes instead of one man being far superior to the other. They close the gap between them,  as both men move in at the same time, locking up in a collar and elbow tie up. The two men struggle against each other, this being a test of strength as much as it is a test of technical skill, pushing against each other. The two men struggle to gain control. and in this moment in time Ace  is the one who is in complete control as he successfully pushes Riley down onto one knee. He isn’t done there, he wants to send Riley onto his back, to make a point early on. He continues pushing but this time it is Williamson  that proves exactly what he is about, raising himself up onto his feet again and then in a split second breaking the lockup and pulling the former World Champion into a side headlock. Riley makes sure the headlock is nice and tight as he pushes his boot down upon the back of Ace’s leg, forcing the larger but heavier man down onto one knee, giving him a better angle at preventing Ace from escaping from the headlock. Ace tries pushing up but to no avail, As Ace gets halfway up Riley suddenly sweeps the leg and flips Ace over onto his back, Riley following through, landing on top of him with the headlock still firmly locked in. Riley cranks the grounded headlock on, his weight enough to keep Ace grounded for the time being as he attempts to choke the life out of The Billionaire Brawler. Ace knows that this is a dangerous situation. Prising his fingers up beneath the arm that is wrapped around his head and neck Ace pushes out. It isn’t going to break the headlock, but he knows that, it isn’t what he’s trying to do. Ace just needs the room. With Riley’s arm just slightly lifted Andrews manages to roll onto his side before the headlock clamps back down, From his side he begins pushing, fighting against the clock as his lungs start to burn. With sheer brute force Ace rolls over onto his knees, taking Riley with him as Riley refuses to release the headlock. Now on his knees Andrews pushes upwards, planting one foot on the mat. Riley, now half standing half crouching, attempts to ramp up the pressure on Andrew’s neck but that doesn’t stop him lifting himself up so that he’s now on his feet, Ace having successfully fought upwards. now up into the side headlock position.  Riley cranks on the pressure on the side headlock, Ace struggling to escape and with one arm wrapped around the waist of Riley he grabs the floridan at the back of the leg and lifts up, looking to drop Riley on his head with a high angle backdrop. With his attention having been on the side headlock Riley has no way of seeing this coming and the first he knows of it is when he’s in mid air. But this is a position he’s been in and he shows that he knows what to do, releasing the headlock and flipping backwards, elegantly landing on his feet behind Ace. Riley turns and sprints for the ropes, rebounding off of them and leaping up into the air knee first, aiming for Ace’s skull with an early Busaiku Knee Lift. Ace turns just in time to not only see the move coming, but sidestep it and grab the knee, yanking Riley with incredible force down to the mat chest first. With Riley’s leg in his grip Ace drops to his knees and attempts to pull the knee up, clearly going for the stretch muffler. However Riley counters and as Ace goes for the lock he pushes down on the mat with his hands, lifting himself up and off of the mat so that he can stretch his leg out and then rolling through, yanking his leg away from Ace and sending The Billionaire Brawler flying across the ring from the sudden counter. Ace rolls through himself, reaching his feet at the same moment as Riley, the two wrestlers coming face to face after this early offence. The two men both look at each other with the same ‘nearly got me’ kind of grin before they push that slight amusement behind them,  The circling begins again only this time neither man is squeamish about getting up close and personal, closing the gap and locking up with the collar and elbow tie up once again. There’s no test of strength involved in this one because surprisingly Ace Andrews proves technically superior on this occasion, pulling Riley into a side headlock with relative ease.

Ted: What an amazing start to this matchup. Both men showing a series of counters to one moves and they just seem to know each other both well.

Joey:

Well, we didn’t expect things to go one way or another this early did we?  That wouldn’t be nearly exciting.

Having utilised the very same move moments ago Riley knows how dangerous this can be, and needs to counter early. Riley sprints forwards towards the rope, forcing Andrews forward with him. Andrews brings a foot up when he reaches the ropes, pushing off of the middle rope and forcing them backwards, but that’s what Riley wanted. The sudden leverage of Andrews being off of the ground lets him lift Andrews off of the mat and then dropping him down onto his side. The impact breaks the headlock but Andrews rolls through, sprinting towards the ropes and rebounding off of them. As Riley rises Andrews goes for the Lariat, only for Riley to duck and grab Andrews’s raised arm from beneath him, using Andrew’s own momentum to pull him down to the ground. He pulls the arm out straight and tries locking his own around it for the armbar but Andrews yanks his arm free at the last second, Riley having not positioned himself properly due to the sudden nature of the move. The two men roll away from each other and scramble for their feet, both coming face to face for the third time in short succession. Riley and Ace just look at each other. If they didn’t know it already this would be the moment that it dawns on them that this might just be the toughest fight of their careers. There’s no circling, they both just leap for each other, locking up in the collar and elbow tie up. The time for headlocks have passed though as Riley pulls Ace in close and drives a knee up into the mid section of The Billionaire Brawler. Ace doubles over and Riley drives his elbow down between the shoulder blades. A second elbow follows before Riley shoves Andrews back into the turnbuckle, grabbing the top rope with his hands for leverage and driving a boot into the mid section of the Las Vegas native. Riley continues driving boot after boot into the mid section of Ace Andrews until Andrews can no longer stand, The Billionaire Brawler dropping onto his ass, leant against the bottom turnbuckle. Grabbing hold of the ropes either side of the turnbuckle Riley puts a boot against the throat of Andrews and then lifts himself up, the other boot joining the first at Ace’s throat. Leaning back with the ropes in hand Riley begins pushing his boots against the throat of the Ace. Andrews claws at the boots, trying to push them away, but it’s two forces pushing against each other and this time round Riley has the leverage and the ropes on his side. After seeing this for abit to long, Ryn Sanu steps in, first demanding that Riley release the choke before starting his five count when the floridan clearly refuses to do so. Andrews tries screaming out as he feels his windpipe slowly start to collapse As Sanu counts Riley seems to push down more, wanting to inflict as much pain as possible. The count reaches four before Riley releases the choke, stepping back onto the mat. As Andrews gasps for air Sanu pushes Riley back, getting in his face and warning him about that kind of behaviour. Riley simply just raises his arms up into the air and tells Sanu in a calmly manner, “Okay” before going back to Andrews. Riley grabs Andrews and drags him up onto his feet towards the centre of the ring, but before he can do anything Andrews strikes out with a hard right hand to the mid section, stunning the unsuspecting Riley. A second right hand follows that breaks Riley’s grip on him and Andrews explodes upwards with an uppercut that sends Riley staggering backwards. Andrews bursts out with a forearm to the jaw, a second forearm sending Riley into the ropes where Andrews promptly whips him across the ring. Riley rebounds off of the rope and Andrews charges forward, bringing his knee up and driving it into the mid section of the longest reigning Hardcore Champion, his momentum sending him flipping over the knee and crashing to the mat back first.  As Riley attempts to scramble onto his feet Andrews grabs him by the hair and drives a forearm into his jaw, knocking him for a loop just long enough for Andrews to push him back first into the turnbuckle. Grabbing the middle ropes Andrews ducks down and drives his shoulder into mid section of the floridan native. Andrews backs away and grabs Riley as he stumbles out of the corner. He attempts to Irish whip him into the opposite turnbuckle but mid turn Riley counters, spinning around and sending Andrews hurtling chest first towards the corner. Riley charges after but as Andrews reaches the turnbuckle he sticks a foot up, blocking his momentum with the middle turnbuckle and using it to propel himself backwards, smashing into Riley’s jaw with a flying back elbow. Riley remains on the mat, recovering from the unexpected blow, while Ace Andrews climbs onto his feet. Grabbing Riley by the hair Andrews pulls him up onto his feet and drags him away from the ropes. Andrews drives his boot into the mid section of Riley, doubling him over, and then runs the ropes, rebounding off of them and flying at the doubled over skull of the floridan native with his knee, the blow colliding with the skull and dropping Riley to the mat, the hard knee having possibly knocked him out. Andrews rolls him over, going for the cover…

1..
2…
Kickout by Riley.

Attempting to keep the pace of this match solidly in his favor, Andrews wastes little time in pulling Riley up to one knee, Andrews locking the stunned Riley in a side headlock right in the middle of the ring. The Las Vegas Native remains upon his knees for several moments, slowly summoning up the strength to push himself to his feet against Riley’s grip. Finally returning to his vertical base, Riley presses Ace back into the ring ropes before sending The Billionaire Brawler across the ring with a shove,  Riley driving Ace to the canvas as he returns with a powerful shoulder block. Shaking the cobwebs away after the damage he had sustained, Riley looks down at Andrews still with a gaze of confidence as Andrews crawls away from his foe.  Andrews quickly returns to his feet before sending Riley across the ring with an irish whip. Riley charges after his foe, Riley sending Ace back down to the canvas with a second shoulder block nearly the instant Andrews repels off the ring ropes. The Las Vegas Native struggles to put some distance between himself and Riley catching Ace once again and returning Andrews to his feet once more. With a grip on both the back of Andrews’s head and around the waist of his tights, Riley thrusts Ace toward the ring ropes, Riley throwing Andrews up and over the ropes with authority rather than through them. Ace soars through the air a few feet before crashing to the padded concrete floor below, The Platinum Made Playboy left lying in a heap of his former self.

Ted:

Well we knew it was only just a matter of time before the action was going to spill out towards the outside of the ring.

Joey:

Speak for yourself Ted. I knew this was going to happen.

Making his way outside the squared circle before Ryn Sanu can even begin his ring out count, Riley moves quickly to  Ace Andrews, Riley bends down, grabbing Ace by the hair and slowly pulling him up onto his feet. Meanwhile the official begins to count.
1.
Riley Williamson drags Ace back towards the ring apron, pushing him up against it back first. Riley then grabs Ace’s arm and whips him full force across the floor with such force that the Platinum Made Playboy flips over onto his back as he collides with the security barricade.

2..
Riley barely gives Ace a second to clutch at his back as the pain goes up and down his spine, grabbing him by the hair and pulling him up onto his feet once again. This time he lines Ace up with the Steelpost and again whips him full force, sending Ace shoulder first into the Steelpost.

3…
Riley bringing Andrews back to his feet and tossing him into the ring before Sanu can even reach the count of four. Riley slides into the ring and without hesitation, pulls Ace back to his feet. Pressing Ace back to the ring ropes, Riley follows the former XWA World Champion as he whips him across the ring with an irish whip, The Floridan maintaining a grip on Ace’s left wrist as he drives a knee straight into The Platinum Playboy’s midsection after he repels off the ropes. Andrews doubles over, clutching at his stomach with his right hand though Riley doesn’t relent just yet, Williamson backing Andrews into the near set of ring ropes before repeating the same process. But this time, as Riley forces the tip of his knee straight up into Andrew’s gut, Riley releases Ace entirely, Andrews sent spinning as he drops heavily to the canvas. He then locks a rear waistlock upon a seated Ace Andrews. Ace struggles instantly, pushing his way to his feet against the wishes of Riley, Andrews managing to force his way to his feet only for Riley to turn the tables on him. Scooping Ace off the canvas with relative ease, Riley spins The Platinum Playboy in midair before driving him back down to the canvas with a belly to back suplex. Chaining together one move straight into the next like a true master of mat based wrestling, Riley rolls to his right and props Ace up on his shoulders as Sanu quickly slides in without missing a beat.

1..
2…
Kickout by Ace.

Forces his shoulders off the canvas quickly after two, Ace rolls out into a seated position once more, Andrews unable to shake off Riley’s grip however, Andrews hanging on like a leech. Feeling the energy slowly being drained from his body, Andrews fights harder against Williamson, Andrews shifting his body to a kneeling position before forcing his way back up to his feet against Riley’s locked grip. Continuing to refuse to give Ace’s any sort of offensive opening, Riley scoops Ace off the canvas and slams him back down to the mat with a second belly to back suplex. Riley attempting another quick pin attempt but Ace rolls through and foils such a plan. Instead, like a sucker for punishment, The Platinum Playboy grinds his teeth as he forces his way back to his vertical base a third time. And, for a third time as well, Williamson scoops Ace from the canvas but fails to find purchase with another belly to back suplex, Ace Andrews swinging his legs wildly and throwing Riley off balance. The moment Ace’s feet find the canvas below he throws his left elbow backward, the tip of the joint connecting with Riley’s temple. Riley seems quite dazed but his grip remains strong, two more viciously precise elbows to Riley’s temple forcing his grip and allowing Ace his first moments of freedom in nearly two minutes. Looking to quickly turn the tide in his favor Ace attempts to irish whip Riley into the near corner, seeming to keep control in his favor as he reverses the attempt and instead sends Andrews into said intended corner. Andrew’s back hits the corner hard but Andrews still has enough sense about him to throw his legs out through the top and second rope and pull himself out of the way as The Platinum Playboy charges in after him. Riley stops himself just short of hitting the turnbuckle and turns quickly as Ace drops back along the ropes, Ace Andrews catching Riley’s legs as he attempts the pendulum kick! Ace seems stunned temporarily, allowing Riley the opening to leap up and drive his shin across Ace’s chest as he drops, Ace driven down into the canvas by two hundred and ten pounds of force upon his upper back and torso. Ace rolls away as Riley leans back against the ring ropes, a broad determined look is upon his face as he takes a moment to catch his breath, Riley not letting his eyes off of Ace rolling about in agony upon the canvas near center ring. Riley Williamson refuses to waste too considerable an amount of time as he quickly steps over and drops down, Riley hooking the leg as Sanu slides in to make the count.

1..
2…
Kickout by Ace.

Ace Andrews forces his shoulder off the canvas quickly after two and rolls away to his left once, Ace trying to pull himself up to his hands and knees but failing to accomplish such a goal. Instead, he falls back onto his side. Ace’s back and chest burning with pain as Riley returns to his feet and steps overtop of his foe. Reaching down, and with a hand on either side of Ace’s neck, Riley forcefully brings Andrews back to his feet, Riley shoving Andrews back to the ropes and striking quickly after Ace repels off of them. Ace’s momentum leaves him with nowhere to go but forward, right into Riley’s waiting arms as he wraps both around Ace’s ribcage and lifts Ace nearly a foot off the canvas. Riley locking Andrews in a quite evidently devastating bearhug! Ace cries out as Riley pulls tighter upon the bearhug, his grip crushing the ribcage of The Corporate Cutthroat. Ace grinds his teeth as he shifts his arms, moving his hands close to Riley’s face for a potential punch, Riley clamping down tighter upon his hold, temporarily distracting the Vegas native from his plans of escape. But Andrews digs deep, trying to push himself past the pain as he moves his hands toward the head of Williamson once again. Riley going for more drastic measures this time around. Planting his feet and bending over forward, Riley drives Ace into the canvas with a modified spinebuster of sorts. Riley pinning Andrews’s shoulders to the mat while he maintains the bearhug.

1..
2…
Kickout by Ace.

Ace refuses to lose in such simple fashion, thrust his right shoulder off the canvas in unique fashion as he utilizes the propellant behind his kickout to drive a powerful right hand into Riley’s jaw. The punch dazes Riley but only just, Ace desperately trying to break his opponent’s grip with a series of third consecutive rights to no avail, Riley pulling Ace back up and holding him above the canvas in the bearhug once again. Riley attempts to cut himself a break as he swings Andrews back and forth, Ace’s ribcage rocked by the swaying motion. But Riley falters slightly, his grip loosening just enough for Ace Andrews to plant his feet upon the canvas. Ace pushes himself with all his strength back from Riley, Andrews driving a powerful forearm into the side of Riley’s skull.  The first forearm stuns Riley, his grip loosening upon The Corporate Cutthroat. Riley releases the bearhug as he slowly steps back, but not far as he quickly drives a boot into Ace’s midsection before Ace Andrews can retaliate. With the Corporate Cutthroat doubled over, Riley scoops Ace up to his shoulder for a scoop slam but Andrews wriggles his way free of Riley’s clutches. Waving his feet back and forth quickly, The Billionaire Brawler manages to slide backward off the shoulder of The Floridan,  Ace repelling off the near ropes before charging straight at Riley. Riley reacts quickly however, Williamson stepping forward and driving the point of his knee straight into the midsection of Andrews. The impact doubles Ace over and Riley quickly capitalizes, scooping Ace up just off the canvas and driving Andrews down upon his outstretched knee with a gutbuster, Riley following it up quickly with yet another pin.

1..
2…
THR...Kickout!

Ted:

My god how close that was, Ace was less than half of a second away from losing his opportunity to face the World Champion at Endure.

Joey:

He’s going to have to pull out more than just a Brainbuster to beat Ace.

Riley quickly wipes any hint of frustration from his face as Ace forces his shoulder off the canvas once again, The Corporate Cutthroat swinging his body around before Andrews can react and once more locking in a rear waistlock. The crowd begins to call for Riley to put things away, chanting his name though said chants fall upon mostly deaf ears, but also begin to chant for Ace! The Denver Arena is filled with “Let’s go Riley!” and “Let’s go Ace!” as Ace looks to the Crowd and seems to find some energy from the chants. Andrews  utilizing such feelings as fuel slowly but surely forces his way back to his vertical base. Just as Ace looks to break Riley’s grip once again, Riley spins around him and drives a knee up into Andrew’s midsection, Riley following up quickly with a stiff forearm across the shoulder blades. With The Corporate Cutthroat doubled over from the stiff strikes, Williamson whips Andrews off into the far corner, Riley wasting little time as he charges in, the former New Yorker only a few steps behind Andrews. Those few steps are enough however, as Ace just manages to slide his legs through the top and second rope and pull himself out of harm’s way, Riley finding nothing but the turnbuckle to greet him. And unlike last time, Riley’s upper body drops toward the canvas and both his boots make contact with Ace’s skull as he connects with the pendulum kick! Weakened by the long physical match thus far, Ace propping himself up in the corner as Riley quickly recovers. Unable to scale the ropes in time, The Billionaire Brawler simply charges forward with a desperate plan in mind, said plan evaporating quickly as Riley drives his knee into Ace’s midsection. The former two time XWA World Heavyweight Champion rolls to the far side of the ring and Riley dawns a wide grin as he begins to stalk his prey, the former XWA Hardcore Champion stunning all as he casually steps up to the second rope. The Floridan standing tall as he prepares to leap from the second rope. Leaping from the second rope and shifting his body for an elbow drop, Riley suddenly finds himself in somewhat serious pain as Ace manages to pull his knees up just before the impact. Connecting with one of his finishers, The Triple 7’s! (Codebreaker) With Ace’s knee connecting onto Riley’s face, Williamson rolls toward center ring as Andrews rolls onto his stomach, The Platinum Playboy attempting to will himself to his feet before Riley Williamson is able to recover. His eyes burning with intensity even as the fans show him some love, The XWA Hall of Famer ignores the burning pain coursing throughout his torso and forces himself to his feet just as Riley makes it up to a kneeling stance. Ace fires off his first right hand as Riley manages to pull himself to his feet, the ferocity behind Andrew’s punch rocking Williamson like an old oak tree. Another two right hands leaves The former Tag Team Champion in a daze and a final hard right hand to the face nearly sends Riley to the canvas, Ace goes and runs towards the near set of ring ropes and coming back to Riley, Andrews driving his opponent to the canvas with a cross forearm charge. Riley quickly staggers to his feet, The Floridan Native dazed by the sudden offense of The Corporate Cutthroat yet Riley still coherent enough to reverse Andrew’s irish whip attempt. Ace Andrews finds himself crashing into the corner he’d planned to drive Riley into, but Ace steps out as his foes charges in and drives an elbow into Riley’s jaw. Ace leaps to the second rope and waits for a moment as Riley staggers forward to him, Andrews applying a front facelock before leaping from his elevated position and spinning his body toward center ring. Riley Williamson remains wise to Ace’s plans and tosses Williamson away, Andrews landing upon his feet around center ring before charging forward as he looks to keep the pace of this match quick. Ducking a clothesline attempt by Riley, Ace leaps up to the second rope before quickly leaping backward without even looking, Riley ducking what he assumes to be some kind of high impact aerial maneuver only to find himself caught by a sunset flip, Andrews turning the flip into a pin!

1..
2…
THR...NO!

Both men take a moment to themselves before returning to their feet, Riley managing to beat Andrews to his vertical base by roughly half a second. Riley utilizes this advantage well, driving a powerful kick right into Ace’s midsection before locking The Las Vegas Native in a front facelock and taking hold of Ace’s left leg. Hoisting Ace up into the air above his head, Riley quickly sends Andrews down to the canvas with an impressive fisherman suplex, Riley Williamson unable to follow up as he meagerly rolls away from his opponent. Ryn Sanu quickly checks upon both men before beginning to count, reaching only a count of two before Riley finds himself standing over Ace Andrews once again. Riley applies another front facelock pulling Andrews up whilst his arm is around Ace’s neck, he then lifts Ace up and places him onto his Shoulders looking to put Ace away with his finisher but, just as Riley uses full force and throws Ace off of his Shoulders, Ace lands onto the mat with both his feet landing and drives two stiff forearms down across Andrew’s back before reapplying his grip, Riley hoisting Ace off the canvas but still Ace Andrews maintains the grip with his free arm. Near infuriated now, Riley forgoes his attempts and releases Ace before charging forward and dropping his shoulder, Williamson driving Ace straight back into the near corner. The Corporate Cutthroat clutches at his lower back as Riley steps partially out from the corner, The Floridan Native applying a low grip around Ace’s legs and hoisting him up to the second rope. But as Riley attempts to ascend the turnbuckle after him, The Billionaire Brawler fights back, Andrews throwing a string of three powerful right hands into Riley’s skull and forcing him to step back to the canvas before staggering backward all together. Riley Williamson proves to be just as resilient however, attempting once more to scale up the turnbuckle only to receive a well placed kick to the jaw from the seated Ace Andrews. The kick doesn’t cause Riley to drop back however, instead the former New Yorker staggering forward in a daze and right into Ace Andrew’s waiting grip. Andrews applies a front facelock once again and leaps from the turnbuckle, swinging his body toward center ring in the process, Riley struggling desperately to throw the Hall of Famer off but Williamson holds on, planting Riley Williamson face first into the canvas with a tornado DDT! Slowly pulling himself over and forcing Riley over from his stomach to his back, Andrews pulls himself atop Riley with a slight hint of desperation. Ace hooks the outside leg and waits as Sanu slides in quickly to make the count.

1..
2…
THRE..NO!

But Riley forces his shoulder off the canvas just a second before Ryn Sanu manages to count three. Riley’s kickout seems to mean nothing however, Ace pulling himself off the canvas with a fire burning brightly in his eyes, Ace forcing his weary body back to its vertical base and just stalking Riley as Riley Williamson slowly begins to rise. Riley returns unsteadily to his feet and just as he turns around, The Platinum Playboy makes the one hundred and eighty degree spin with relative ease, only for Riley to duck at the very last possible second. Andrews hits nothing but air, spinning towards Riley as he moves in a daze, Riley scooping Ace up to his shoulder with confidence. Taking one quick spinning step toward center ring, Williamson does a 150 degree turn, throwing Ace’s body off of his shoulders as high as he can into the air before driving Ace straight down to the canvas with a Torrential Drop! (F5) Riley shifting position and hooking both legs as he seems confident that he’s won!

1..
2…
THRE..NO!

Ted:

Joey, I believe that was the closest that we have seen Tonight! as Ace just barely, and I mean BARELY got his shoulder up right there.

Joey:

I’m telling ya Ted, Ace is one tough cat to be in the ring with and it would take a miracle for Riley to beat Ace here tonight.

Slamming his right fist into the canvas over and over again, Riley looks at Sanu with a look of disbelief upon his face, Riley unable to believe that Ace has once again managed to kickout. But the official points to Ace and Riley sees that Ace has his hand on the bottom rope, thus breaking the Pinfall, Williamson climbing to his feet and lays against the ropes.  looking down towards the outside while trying to gather his thoughts before he turns away from the ropes, looking down at Ace almost breathless as Ace slowly begins to work his way back to his feet, Riley moving to the corner and looking at the Crowd before he hoist his right leg a foot off the canvas before driving it back down with authority. the crowd erupting at the implications! Knowing very well who use to do this Move before. Riley turning his attention back to the ring just as Ace reaches his feet. Riley takes an unsteady step as he begins to turn to locate Ace, Williamson stepping forward and thrusting his foot straight toward Ace’s jaw.

Ted:

In Shades of David Michaels, Riley is about to send some STS down Ace Andrew’s Throat!

Joey:

He missed it! Ace drop down in the nick of time! This fucker thought he was slick, stealing some move off of another wrestler and look what happened to him! He couldn’t even do it right!

Perhaps his body just giving up momentarily on him, The Self-Proclaimed Best in the World drops to his knees just a millisecond before Riley’s foot manages to make contact with his jaw, Andrews reaching up quickly and locking his arms around Riley’s outstretched leg. With the instincts of grizzled veteran and being a former XWA World Heavyweight Champion for a reason, Ace rolls forward and drags Riley along with him by default, The longest reigning Hardcore Champion throw forward by his caught leg, Riley tripping over himself as he soars roughly a foot before landing with his neck right across the second rope! His eyes alight with the opening at hand, Ace moves quickly to the ring ropes and steps up gracefully onto the shoulders of Riley Williamson. Andrews pressing Riley’s windpipe down against the ring rope with all two hundred and Forty pounds of his body. Ryn Sanu quickly moves to intervene, trying to force Ace down with words before quickly shifting to his count, reaching a count of four before Andrews drops down, Ace Andrews turning his attention to the official for the moment. Shifting his attention quickly back to the match, Ace grips the top rope and slingshots himself over the top rope, Andrews landing upon the padded concrete floor outside the ring. Spinning quickly to the still hung up form of his opponent, Ace brings his right hand up and around, Ace slapping the holy high hell out of Riley as The Platinum Playboy is sent off the second rope and down the canvas. With the crowd firmly showing their disapproval of The Billionaire Brawler’s tactics, Andrews returns to the confines of the squared circle and leaps to the second rope as Riley begins to rise, Andrews waiting from his perch until the former New Yorker turns his way. Spinning his body in midair, The Las Vegas Native catches Riley just underneath the jaw as he reaches his feet with a diving European uppercut form the second rope! It takes little time for Riley to return to his feet once more, Ace stalking Riley with his eyes now locked on him. Andrews overhooking Riley arms as soon as he reaches his feet. With his hands now tightly wrapped behind Riley’s head, Ace places a foot out and drops down causing Riley to go head first into the Canvas as Ace hits Montecito Wildcard! (Skull Crushing Finale) Ace, rolls Riley over onto his back, hooking the leg as Ryn Sanu slides in and begins to count.

1..
2…
THRE...NO!!

The crowd going wild, as they thought Ace had Riley beaten but before Synu can slam his hand against the mat for the Third time, in the last millisecond, Ryn caught Riley’s foot going onto the Bottom Rope. Thus, breaking the pinfall. Ace sits up and turns his head to look at Sanu, his eyes watery, almost wanting to cry as he thought that was it. That it was all said for. But Ryn tells Ace and points to Riley who still has his fot on the bottom rope telling him that his foot was on the rope. Ace then signs and then pulls himself onto his feet via the ring ropes, his back hurting him abit from this match. after the damage he had received earlier on. He begins putting the boots into Williamson before pulling him up onto his feet, pushing him back first against the turnbuckle before whipping him across the ring, charging after him. As Williamson hits the turnbuckle back first Ace leaps, turns and nails Riley Williamson with a European Uppercut in the corner. Ace backs up, grabbing a stunned Williamson by the arm and whipping him back across the ring into the corner, Riley Williamson hitting the opposite turnbuckle back first once again while Ace sprints forwards, leaping, turning and connecting with a second European Uppercut against the turnbuckle, almost taking Riley’s head off with the force behind the blow. The Best in the World grabs Riley by the head, pulling him out of the turnbuckle and towards the centre of the ring. He pushes Williamson down into a front facelock before hooking his arm and impressively lifting the two hundred and ten pound star and snapping back, dropping Williamson on his back with a vicious snap suplex. He keeps his arm hooked around the neck of Williamson, rolling over onto his knees and dragging Williamson with him, lifting him up onto his feet and then lifting again dropping him back first onto the apron with a second rolling snap suplex. He goes for the third, rolling onto his knees and slowly lifting Williamson up onto his feet. As he goes for the lift Riley drives his fist up into Ace’s mid-section. The blow loosens his grip enough for Williamson to counter with a lift of his own. He hands Ace up in the air in a suplex lift before charging forwards towards the turnbuckle and release Ace, sending him chest first down on top of the turnbuckle in an extremely painful drop.  As Ace Andrews lies there on top of the turnbuckle Riley Williamson takes a moment to catch his breath before grabbing Ace, manoeuvring him so that he is now sitting on top of the turnbuckle. Williamson slowly climbs up so that he’s standing on the middle turnbuckle and hooks his arm around Ace’s head. He goes for what appears to be a suplex off of the top rope only for the Billionaire Brawler to counter, driving his fist up into the mid-section of Williamson, loosening the grip enough to push him back off of the turnbuckle. Riley manages to land on his feet but seems staggered while Ace climbs up onto the top of the turnbuckle, balancing as Riley gets onto his feet and turns. Andrews leaps off of the turnbuckle, turning in mid-air and going for a top rope European uppercut. Williamson catches him in mid-air however, ducking beneath the arm and hooking his arms around Ace’s waist and then lifting him up and dropping him onto his back with a big German suplex.  As Ace Andrews remains down, clutching his back in further pain, Riley Williamson rolls over onto his knees and pushes himself up onto his feet. He grabs Ace by the hair, harshly pulling him up onto his feet and dragging him towards the turnbuckle once again. This time he pushes Ace roughly back first into the turnbuckle and grabs the top ropes for balance before starting to put the boots into The Platinum Playboy. Williamson repeatedly drives his boot into the mid-section of Ace Andrews just not caring when Ryn Sanu steps in demanding that he back away and actually having to enforce the five count, threatening to disqualify Williamson if he doesn’t stop. Williamson waits until the count of four before backing away, holding his hands up as if to show that he isn’t breaking the rules. Ryn acknowledges the broken count and Riley Williamson suddenly charges forwards, bringing his boot up and just driving it into the skull of the Hall of Famer in the corner. Ace’s head snaps back and as Williamson backs away to be admonished by the official Ace slumps forwards onto the mat. Over the shoulder of Ryn Sanu Riley spies Ace attempting to crawl out of the ring to get some extra breathing room, forcing the former tag team champion to push the official out of the way and grab Ace’s leg, pulling him away from the ropes and towards the centre of the ring. A groggy Ace rolls onto his back and retracts the leg, pulling Williamson in enough so that he can fling the other leg out, catching Williamson flush on the jaw and forcing the smaller man to back off, Williamson holding his jaw in pain. This gives Ace some time, The Las Vegas Native using all of his to push himself up onto his feet. As Williamson turns Ace nails him with a boot to the mid-section before almost desperately pulling him into a front facelock and dropping him to the mat with a last gasp DDT.

Ted:

Ace Andrews is pulling out all the stops in this Number one Contenders match for the World Title. And to much as Riley as well.

Joey:

Good God what a DDT. That just looked fucking beautiful.

Ace Andrews sits up, using the opportunity to catch his breath as the pain in both his chest and back is excruciating. He rolls over onto his knees and grabs hold of Riley by the back of the head, pulling him up onto his feet as he rises. He whips Williamson across the ring back first into the turnbuckle and sprints forwards, leaping, turning and connecting with the European uppercut just like was saw in earlier in the match. However this time it seems to have the effect of waking Riley Williamson up because as Ace goes to whip him across the ring again Williamson counters, spinning them around and whipping Ace into the corner. Ace collides with the turnbuckle back first just in time to see Riley leaping up at him and nailing him with a European uppercut of his own, seemingly taunting Ace with his own move. As Ace staggers forwards Riley, facing away from the former two-time XWA World Champion, wraps his arm around his throat and then flips him over with a snapmare takedown. As Ace hits the canvas ass first Riley grabs both of his arms from behind, plants a knee in the spine and then starts to pull back on the arms. As Riley pulls back on the arms, forcing his knee further into the curvature of the spine, Ryn Sanu ducks in close, looking for any signs of a submission. From As Williamson attempts to keep him grounded by adding more pressure on the spine Ace uses all of his strength to plant his feet on the mat and to start pushing up, using the friction of Riley’s knee as a sort of lift. He slowly rises up, forcing Riley to rise up with him, until he is fully out of the submission move and onto his feet. With Riley still holding Ace’s arms behind his back The Self-Proclaimed Best in the World spins it around, turning Williamson in the process, and pushes Riley Williamson chest first into the turnbuckle. Williamson hits, staggers backwards and is caught with a forearm to the back of the head, Williamson dropping down onto his knees with his head rested against the middle turnbuckle. Ace Andrews turns and sprints for the ropes, rebounding and leaping up as he reaches the turnbuckle, bringing his knee down upon the back of Riley’s head and crushing it against the turnbuckle. As Riley falls back first onto the mat. Ace looks down towards Riley’s leg and then grabs the leg and drags him to the center of the ring. With little to no movement made by Riley. Ace crosses the legs over, setting Riley up for the  platnium Cloverleaf! Ace starts trying to turn Riley over, but The Floridan fights as hard as he can, refusing to let Ace turn him. Andrews tries to turn Williamson to the right, but Williamson throws his left shoulder up, putting all of his weight against Ace's momentum. Ace tries to turn Riley left, and now Williamson throws his right shoulder up, again cutting off Ace's momentum! Ace stops trying to turn Riley, instead crouching a little to get a better grip for added pressure....and quick as a flash Riley reaches up, grips Ace by his head, and rolls backwards, gripping each of Ace's ankles beneath his armpits, Riley's knees pinning Ace's shoulders to the mat!

THRE...NO!

Both men stumble back to their feet, but Riley's leg is still bothering him, and he's a second slower then Ace. A second is all Ace needs though, and as Riley pushes up, he's greeted by a right hand to the jaw from Andrews! The Billionaire Brawler keeps the pressure on, firing off a second right hand, followed by a third, but Riley blocks it! Now Williamson counters with his own right hand, directly to the bridge of Ace's nose, staggering Andrews backwards. Riley hobbles forward, throwing a forearm smash into Ace's jaw, and following up with a second forearm to stagger Ace even further back. Riley grips Ace by his forearm, and whips him into the ropes. Williamson watches Ace rebound back and throws an arm up, looking for a Lariat, but Ace ducks under it. Ace bounces off the opposite ropes, and as Williamson turns, Ace roars and throws out the Roaring Elbow that Ace calls The Flop but Riley ducks under it! Ace's momentum sees him hit the ropes chest first, and he staggers back, Riley lifts Ace up onto his Shoulders and looks to put Ace away with his finisher, The Torrential Drop! However, Ace delivers a few elbow shots towards the Jaw of Riley causing Williamson to let go of him. While Riley unsteadily falls onto the ropes trying to wheel off the effects of the shots that he recieved from Ace, The Billionaire Brawler now leans against the other set of ropes. Just watching Riley with a detered look. A few seconds pass by and Riley is now up onto a vertical base. Ace now walks towards the center of the ring as Riley groggily walks backwards. Ace grabs Riley’s arm  and turns him around before sending a kick towards Riley’s gut. Riley remains bent over and Ace turns his back on Riley tucking Riley’s head over his Shoulders, he looks to put  him away with ACED, but is to slow to react. Pushing his hands over onto the back of Ace Riley pushes Ace forward but before Ace can go any further, Riley quickly reaches out and grabs onto the arm of Ace. Turning him around, Riley kicks him in the gut, turns his back on Ace and places The Billionaire Brawler’s head over onto his shoulders before dropping down.  Ace’s head snaps back from the drop as his back hits the mat. Riley goes for the cover.
