Several WWE live events scheduled for after WWE Night of Champions are advertising Bray Wyatt versus Sheamus for the United States Championship.

This appears to be Wyatt’s next feud after he finishes up his program with Chris Jericho, who is scheduled to leave WWE after the September 21st pay-per-view.

I sincerely hope they go somewhere interesting with this because the Jericho feud has already brought his momentum to a complete halt. I think Sheamus is a great worker, but he's not so great in storylines, and especially not as a generic face.

Although I really love Sheamus and Bray, I find it really hard to imagine them putting on a great rivalry together.

I don't know what to expect of the feud, but the matches should be great.

I agree, the matches should be excellent. Most Sheamus matches are.

I really, really hope so. Also, as nice as it would be to see Wyatt win gold, I feel he's way above the US title. Then again, so is Sheamus. Most of WWE's current midcard title scene is made up of former world / WWE champions. >_>

His Orton, Del Rio and Christian matches over the past few years disagree

His matches with Del Rio were really really good. I never saw his matches with Christian aside from the one right after Christian turned heel which was also good. The only Sheamus/Orton match I remember is the one where the fans ruined the show, I didn't pay much attention to that match.

The only problem with Sheamus' matches is when he faces the same guy for a long stretch (see: Del Rio). The matches will be good, but not varied enough to maintain interest over the feud.

I don't see how either Sheamus or Wyatt could benefit from a feud with one another, but I hope I'm wrong.

I agree, but to be fair, that can apply to everyone. Kofi vs Ziggler was good. 4 years ago. Now it's just sad. Same with Orton/Cena.

Sheamus is generally pretty good. Bray and Sheamus should be good if it's given time, and it sure seems like the machine is still solidly behind Bray. Bray vs. Jericho was one of the top matches at Summerslam after he came off back-to-back feuds with Bryan and Cena.
