Fredrik Bond is to direct 'London Has Fallen', the sequel to 'Olympus Has Fallen'.
The terrorism thriller will see Bond, who recently directed Shia LeBeouf drama 'Charlie Countryman', work with a host of big name stars, including Gerard Butler, Aaron Eckhart and Angela Bassett.
The new flick will also feature Radha Mitchell and Morgan Freeman, who will reprise their roles as Leah Banning and Speaker Trumbull respectively.
The plot of the new film centres on the characters heading to London to attend the funeral of the British prime minister.
World leaders and officials from all over the globe attend the event, but the funeral transpires to be the target of a terrorist plot.
Secret Service agent Mike Banning, US President Benjamin Asher and a distrustful MI6 are tasked with stopping the mass assassination attempt, which could lead to a new world order.
The script for 'London Has Fallen' has been penned by Christian Gudegast, who has continued with themes from the earlier film.
Filming for 'Olympus Has Fallen' is set to begin in October and it's hoped it will be released on October 2, 2015.
