GTA Online will introduce the 'San Andreas Flight School' update later today (August 19), Rockstar has announced.

The update adds a collection of new air and land vehicles, as well as aerial solo challenges and races.




New vehicles include jets and helicopters, while users will also be able to purchase "patriotically-themed parachute bags", which are adorned with national flags.

Gameplay tweaks include increased payouts for challenging missions and in-game cash bonuses for playing missions co-operatively.

GTA Online recently added a host of missions based on classic Grand Theft Auto games, and celebrated Independence Day (July 4) with USA-themed content.

Heist missions and "substantial" single-player DLC will be released in the future, as will PS4, Xbox One and PC versions of GTA 5.

GTA 5 has been rumoured for a November release on new-gen consoles and PC.
