Really good Summerslam. One of the better ones, historically, I'd think.
Going to say MOTN was Cena/Brock. That won't be popular, but, here's my reasoning:
Was it the classic back-and-forth brawl? No. But it told a story and did a damn good job. Cena's facial expressions throughout were flawless. Brock's jumping act and smiling -- he looked to be genuine -- was excellent. The match SOLD Brock as the baddest man on the planet.
As far as traditional wrestling MOTN logic, maybe Reigns and Orton? None really stand out.

Main event was shit wrestling-wise but told a good story and it should be great as part of the overall picture. It's the exact same thing I said last year about Daniel Bryan. Sure, he didn't win, but it ended up paying off big time in the following 6 months. Same thing here.
That said, I'd give it an 8.5/10 overall. The other matches were excellent.

Paige didn't have a nipslip like it seemed like she was going to. Very disappointing.

I missed everything before and including AJ vs. Paige, sadly, but I still got to see a good handful of the matches.
I enjoyed what I saw up until the main event, which was hands down one of the worst and most boring matches I've ever seen.
Rusev vs. Jack Swagger
Better than their matches leading up to this, but this feud ran its course a month ago. If this was the first Pay-Per-View match of their feud, I would have really enjoyed it, but it's been a real slog leading up to it, which I feel has detracted from its overall entertainment value a bit. As a match, it was pretty decent. Rusev genuinely surprised me with his spinning kick. That actually made me mark a little bit. He needs to break out other moves more often, because I've found him quite stale for some time now, but he's got the potential to be so much more, and that was probably the match's biggest highlight. Swagger powering Rusev up to head-height was pretty damn impressive as well, too.
3/5.
Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins
This was a really fun match. I cracked up at one point because I was watching with my sister and talking about how these were really shitty lumberjacks in this match, and then a moment later Kane comes out and tells them to do their job, while JBL says pretty much the same thing I had just said. But honestly, Seth and Dean killed it, and Dean was responsible for much marking during the PPV. Especially when he hit the curbstomp on Rollins. That was cool. Finish made sense and makes me wonder if they're gonna lead into something between the Wyatts and Ambrose as a little segue here between him and Seth.
4/5
Stephanie McMahon vs. Brie Bella
Considering how hyped this match was... and that it was between someone who never used to actually wrestle (although I love her as a heel), Stephanie McMahon, and someone who I never really liked as a wrestler in the past, Brie Bella, I expected a train wreck. And what I got surpassed my expectations from everyone involved in the match. This match was awesome for what it was. Steph was actually really good in the ring, Brie was surprisingly good in the ring as well and it really showed her growth as a wrestler. I marked for Brie dropkicking Triple H and marked even more for the finish. I did not see that coming AT ALL. One of my favourite matches of the night.
4/5.
Chris Jericho vs. Bray Wyatt
Definitely better than their first outing, and I loved the sequence into the Codebreaker. Finish was a little rushed, but the spot preceding it was cool. Overall a good match. There isn't really much to say here.
3.5/5.
Randy Orton vs. Roman Reigns
I was expecting a slightly above average match, and I got a little more out of it than I expected to. Things started off pretty simple between these two, and began to pick up after a particularly nice Superplex by Orton. The match itself remained pretty average; nice spots start coming up here and there, particularly Roman's Samoan Drop off the top rope. The final sequence of this match was awesome. Orton's powerslam out of Roman's spear was beautiful, and I liked the Superman Punch into the RKO. I do feel the match should have gone just a tiny bit longer than it did; I'm not sure I liked the fact that Roman was able to kick out of an elevated RKO, but Orton couldn't kick out of a Spear from Reigns. Maybe it's just that I'm a bit OCD about balance that way, but it just seemed, maybe... a little unfair? It's a minor nuance, and it didn't make me enjoy this match and less, to be honest.
4/5.
John Cena vs. Brock Lesnar
With the bar set after last year's Extreme Rules match, I went into this with high hopes. I expected that match to be shit and it blew me away, so this year, I had hoped for more of the same. It seems like this year, I didn't even get to see the match I expected from them last year. This match was fucking awful. I'm glad someone else was letting me borrow their Network account, because I don't care if you're paying $9.99, or $49.99 for the PPV on cable. This match... a match they hyped the shit out of, beyond overhyped... and although it had GREAT promos from both Cena and Lesnar (a rarity) leading into it... it ended up being fucking garbage. Cena jobbed like a bitch for a really long time and never got the upper hand for longer than maybe 45 seconds throughout the entire match. It did not make Lesnar look good to destroy Cena with nothing but german suplexes. It did not make Cena look good to get beat up for 15 minutes while making various painful faces, with absolutely nothing to redeem him from the fact that he did so. I don't count hitting a pair of clotheslines and one AA (and later an STF out of nowhere, only to get his face punched in) out of nowhere as redeeming, especially considering that Brock sat up and laughed at the AA, before making a retarded "Randy Orton" crazy face. If I had paid any money for this show- for the main event, as most fans tend to do- then regardless of the strength of the rest of the show, I would have asked for my money back.
Also, didn't John say something about not coming out in his typical neon garb with the wristbands, only to come out wearing exactly that (with Hogan's colours, no less), and a cheesy little "Never give up" flag? I knew something was wrong from that point, but I didn't it would be as something as wrong as this match. What a joke. It's pretty bad when Vince Russo came up with a better finish for this match than it actually had.
This match fucking sucked.

^ I agree with everything you said. The only reason I didn't hate the ending was because I know it's leading to something good, a big payoff, but to say the match didn't suck is a lie.

If the big payoff is Reigns vs Brock at WM 31, no thanks then. I rather have Cena vs Reigns. If they are looking to make Reigns the future of the company, it has to be against Cena. Brock vs Reigns would be better for Summerslam 2015 imo.

You're never going to get a clean Cena loss at Wrestlemania. Never.

"You're never going to get a clean Cena loss at Wrestlemania. Never."
The way you put it you made it sound like no one has ever 100% cleanly defeated Cena at WM. Which the Rock clearly has. You did not say "You're never going to get a clean Cena loss at Wrestlemania in a Championship match. Never."

yes, but you try to overlap your previous statement with a new one when I clearly corrected you on that. No that's not how it works, at least not at Level 20. Overlapping statements is clearly only for level 300 and you sir have tried to Hax.

"You're never going to get a clean win over Cena at WM, ever" - doesn't include the word title in it, so why anyone would assume that's what you meant is strange.

I loved it. From start to finish. So much surprise instead of obvious. 9/10
I loved how WWE are making Lesnar look unstoppable, especially since this will most likely be his last world title run. And I disagree with you Bull, Reigns can face Cena anytime, Lesnar will make a bigger win for Reigns at WM31

I will say Summerslam was insanely unpredictable for a show that I thought was going to be insanely predictable.
Paige went over AJ, Ziggler over Miz, Stephanie over Brie (and that match ended up being very good, I thought it was gonna suck), Seth over Dean in an awesome match, etc.

Furthermore, I'm surprised at all of the praise SummerSlam is getting. In addition to the main event(Though I agree with Razor saying it will lead to something bigger), I was kind of let down by Rollins/Ambrose and Wyatt/Jericho. The lumberjack stip killed the excitement of Ambrose/Rollins for me, and Wyatt/Jericho was rushed and could have been much better.
Though I will say I went into Reigns/Orton with very low expectations based off the house show reports of their terrible chemistry and enjoyed the match much more than expected. I've given Orton a lot of crap in the past, but he actually is a pretty good worker.
I also missed Miz and Ziggler which I heard was really good so maybe I should watch that too.
I don't think it was a bad show at all, I was just expecting more based off of the card.
OH, but one more thing. They couldn't have made Nikki turning on Brie any more obvious in the final minutes than they did. It was as obvious as when Matt was about to turn on Jeff at the 2009 Royal Rumble.
