Honestly this is the best thing for them. They dont have to worry about the NFL and any other major sports on this day.

From what I've read, this is a better day all round to air Impact.

According to F4WOnline.com, the Impact Wrestling move to Wednesdays is permanent, and the decision to move the show was finalized a couple days ago.

Smackdown moving to Thursday nights was definitely one of the reasons why TNA decided to make the move, along with NFL games airing on CBS on Thursday nights, which have always been stiff competition for TNA.
