- As has been reported across the wrestling-related parts of internet for a couple of weeks now, Spike TV decided at one point that they didn't want to renew their contract with TNA to air Impact Wrestling. While there have been several reasons speculated on why this is the case, WrestleZone reports that the primary reason is that Spike wanted to buy 10% of TNA. The site adds that Dixie Carter declined that offer, which led to the reports that the two companies may be parting ways.

The site adds that the Vince Russo situation was not the dealbreaker and in fact it was the attempt to gain partial ownership of the company which led to the problems in negotiations.

I can't find anything that archives Cops ratings. They were doing 3.5 million with no competition on Fox, though, so I strongly doubt they were doing any sort of rating on Spike.
