Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies was announced for PC via Steam today by Nexon Europe.

Nexon partnered with Valve, the makers of previous Counter-Strike games, to create the zombie-themed world.

“It is our pleasure to launch a free-to-play online version of the all-time favorite FPS via Steam,” said CEO of Nexon Europe, Kenny Chang. “Both players who are new to the game, as well as those that have been logging onto classic FPS games for years, will be surprised with the new action it offers.”

The zombies are described as being fast and aggressive, producing an entirely new experience for players. There will be several new game modes, creatures, and weapons. Players who get tired of the zombies will also be to play in a more traditional Counter-Strike style, with modes likes Hostage Rescue and Bomb Diffusion.

Counter-Strike Nexon: Zombies releases in Q3 of this year and will be free-to-play.
