Secret of Mana has been announced for Android devices.

Square Enix will release the SNES classic for tablets and smartphones running the Google operating system in the autumn.

Secret of Mana was ported to iOS devices in 2010, complete with a redesigned interface and new touchscreen controls.

The iPhone and iPad edition has received a 50% price reduction to coincide with the news, and is now available at £2.49 for a limited time.

Square Enix confirmed back in April that it has plans to reboot the Secret of Mana series with a new instalment for current-generation consoles.

A specific release date for Secret of Mana on Android is yet to be announced.
