According to Dave Meltzer, Spike TV was not happy about TNA re-signing Vince Russo and his involvement with the company ultimately led them to this conclusion.

He doesnt technically work for them, he said he was a consultant for commentary. Anyway, the reports were he was working for them for months, before the WRESTLE-1 stuff, and NOW it's a reason for why it got canned?

Yeah I don't think it was the deciding factor.

Spike spent shit ton of money on TNA and they keep getting lower and lower ratings. It could be partly their fault. Networks often want known names like a Sting or Hulk Hogan to get a lot of TV time to draw ratings when TNA should have been making a Austin Aries or Bobby Rhoode into superstars. And of course having Easy E and Hogan there didn't help.

Ring of Honor has the advantage that SBG will let them do what they want to creativity.

Well you would think they would control everything since they do own it Funny It's their promotion, their TV station, their money but they know they know nothing about wrestling so creatively they are letting them do what they want. That's really unprecedented in modern pro wrestling.
