Harvey Jordan and Crystov Razetti are in the ring, staring each other down. Both newcomers to XWA, looking to prove themselves in the ring.
The ring bell sounds as Harvey Jordan and Crystov Razetti square off. They waste no time before getting into it. They lock up and Razetti quickly gets the upperhand, throwing on a side headlock. Being the smaller and more agile of the two, he spins around Jordan so he’s behind him and locks on a wrist lock. Jordan struggles for a moment, feeling the pressure on his arm, but quickly throws an elbow back into Razetti’s face. He takes the opportunity to spin out of the wrist lock and wrenches Razetti’s arm. Razetti rolls through, untwisting his arm and flips Jordan over with a fast arm drag. Jordan struggles back to his feet looking a bit dishevelled and embarrassed as the two men square off again.
They lock up a second time, this time Jordan quickly spinning around Razetti and putting him in a waist lock. Razetti struggles for a moment, but quickly reaches down between his legs, grabbing Jordan by one of his ankles and tripping him up. He quickly covers him. The referee counts: “one!” Jordan throws Razetti off. Both men are back on their feet at the same time. Jordan flips over Razetti’s side and rolls him up into a schoolboy. “One!” Razetti kicks out. Both men get to their feet at the same time. Jordan charges at Razetti and takes a second arm drag. He scurries back to his feet to see Razetti already ready and waiting for him. He kicks the ropes and paces in anger, having been outdone again.
The two square off and go for a third lock up, but this time Jordan pokes Razetti in the eye before dropping him to the ground with a snapmare. He throws on a reverse chinlock, earning boos from the audience. Jordan ignores them and smirks at the fans while the referee checks on Razetti. But Razetti quickly finds his way back to his feet before the hold has any chance to wear him down, and hits with a few stiff elbows to the ribs before bouncing off the ropes and knocking Jordan down with a shoulder block. He runs off the opposite ropes and bounces back, Jordan gets to his feet and leap frogs over Razetti before setting him up for a hip toss, but Razetti flips over, doing a full 360 and landing on his feet. He ducks a short clothesline follow up from Jordan and goes to plant a kick, Jordan catches it, but Razetti counters into an enziguiri! Razetti rolls him over and hooks the leg as the referee counts. “One! Two!” Jordan gets a shoulder up.

Ted Cedar: These two are relative newcomers here in our opening match, I’ve gotta say that Razetti’s off to a good start, managing to outwrestle Jordan in the earlygoings here.

Razetti lifts Jordan off the mat and shoves him back into a corner before laying into him with a series of kicks to the mid-section. He whips him across the ring, but Jordan reverses it, sending Razetti to the opposite corner. He charges at him, but Razetti dodges, forcing Jordan to run straight into the turnbuckle. He turns around only to be tossed across the ring with a monkey flip from Razetti, who follows up quickly with a knee drop across the chest. He covers Jordan. “One! Two!” Kick out!
Razetti lifts Jordan up and goes to whip him across the ring but Jordan reverses. Razetti bounces off the ropes and leaps at Jordan, flipping him onto his back with a flying headscissors. Jordan quickly rolls out of the ring to escape. The referee begins his count out. “One! Two!” Razetti catches Jordan off guard with a baseball slide and then exits the ring himself as the ref continues. “Three!” Razetti pounds Jordan’s face against the ring barricade. Seeing his opponent dazed and stumbling, the highflyer jumps back on the apron. “Four!” Jordan stumbles around to see Razetti flying through the air, bouncing off the ropes with an asai moonsault. He dives out of the way just in time for Razetti to land on the floor, catching only concrete. “Five!” Jordan takes a moment to catch his breath as he notices Razetti grasping at his left knee, possibly injured in the landing. He picks up Razetti and rolls him back in the ring before attempting a quick pin. “One! Two! Thr-!” Kick out!

Joey Miles:
Holy shit, the fall was brutal!

Ted Cedar: That certainly could have changed the tide of the match! It looks as though Razzeti is favouring that left knee a bit after missing that high risk move.

Jordan drags Razetti to the corner of the ring and wraps his hurt leg up over the second rope. He pulls it to apply pressure, but Razetti fights back with blows to the head. The repeated shots sending Jordan reeling back. Razetti pulls himself up onto the second turnbuckle. Jordan runs at him, but Razetti counters with a boot to the face. Jordan stumbles back again. Razetti dives off the second turnbuckle and connects with a missile dropkick! Both men are on the mat now, but it looks like Razetti did more damage to his knee with the move and can't capitalize. Both men recover and get back to their feet. Razetti comes at Jordan with a flurry of kicks. He hits with a stiff shoot kick to the chest before going for a super kick. Jordan ducks under it. Razetti turns and limps into a high leg lariat, knocking him to the mat.
Instead of going for the pin, Jordan decides to take his time, stalking his opponent, knowing he’s in control.

Joey Miles: Why doesn’t this idiot just go for the win?

Razetti slowly struggles back to his feet, using the ropes for support. With Razetti’s back to him, Jordan sneaks up behind, grabs him by the leg and lifts him off the mat before dropping is left shin over his knee.

Ted Cedar: Brutal shinbreaker there! That should slow Razetti down!

Razetti holds his leg in pain, trying to crawl away from Jordan. But Jordan strikes with several stomps to the knee and shin. He lifts Razetti up to his feet and nails him with a second shinbreaker before dragging him into the middle of the ring. He picks up one leg then spins around it, setting him up for the figure four leg lock, but Razetti counters into a small package. “One! Two! Thr-“ Jordan kicks out. Both men get up, but Jordan quickly slips behind Razetti and drops him back to the mat with a chop block to his hurt leg. Jordan drags Razetti close to corner of the ring before sliding to the outside. The referee begins his count. “One!” Jordan grabs a hold of Razetti’s leg and drag him into a position so his leg is next to the steel turnbuckle post. “Two!” Jordan pulls the leg back and snaps it across the steel post, causing Razetti to writhe in agony. “Three!” He does it again, the fans cringe in the front row. So he does it one more time for good measure. “Four!” Harvey rolls back into the ring, the damage done.

Joey Miles: Solid gameplan by Jordan though, this slows Crystov down big time.

In the ring, Jordan picks Razetti back up and lifts him off the mat, going for yet another shinbreaker to add insult to injury. But Razetti rolls over the back of Jordan with a sunset flip style pin. “One! Two!” Jordan kicks out. Both men scramble back to their feet. Razetti runs at Jordan best he can with a bad leg, Jordan goes low and rolls him onto his stomach, quickly locking him into a single leg Boston crab! He torques the left leg as the ref gets in Razetti’s face, asking if he’s going to submit.
Razetti crawls closer to the ropes, they’re a couple of short feet away, Jordan tries hard to keep him locked in the one position. But Razetti digs deep and pulls himself close enough to the ropes to score the rope break. The ref starts counting: “One! Two! Three! Four!” Jordan finally releases the hold. Razetti picks himself back up, using the ropes. Jordan rushes at him but Razetti low bridges him, sending Jordan tumbling over the ropes and landing in a heap on the apron. He quickly gets back to his feet and grabs Razetti by the hair. Razetti turns and hits with a few stiff elbows to the face of Jordan before hooking him around the neck and bringing him back in the ring by force with a vertical suplex.

Ted Cedar: Crystov Razetti is beginning to stage a bit of a comeback, but how much has Harvey Jordan’s assault on the leg crippled his offense?

Razetti sees an opening and climbs the top rope, a little slower than he normally would though. By the time he balances himself on the top, Jordan is already back up and on the attack. He hits Razetti with a few right hands before climbing up onto the second rope, joining him up in no man’s land. He hits with a few more rights before setting him up for a big superplex. But Razetti desperately fights back with hard jabs to the ribs. It’s enough to take the wind out of Jordan and unbalance him. Razetti knocks Jordan off the ropes and sends him back to the canvas below. He comes flying off the top rope with a huge senton that finds its mark on Jordan. The fans cheer as Razetti goes for the pin. “One! Two! Thr-“ Kick out!
Frustrated, Razetti picks Jordan up, but Jordan quickly blinds him with a thumb to the eye and goes to whip him into the corner, Razetti counters and sends Jordan into the corner and quickly follows up with a Sickle Kick! Jordan hits the mat hard as Razetti takes a moment to recover. He begins climbing the ropes again as Jordan crawls back to his feet.

Joey Miles: I think we’re going to see something big here!

Jordan stumbles around to see Razetti standing on the top rope, fighting through the leg pain. He leaps off with a flip and goes for The Pale Horse! But Jordan catches him in midair, countering with a powerbomb. Rather than go for the pin, Jordan twists his leg and ties him up in the figure four leg lock! The referee once again goes to Razetti for an answer.

Ted Cedar: That was an all or nothing move, and it did not pay off for Crystov Razetti!

Jordan has the move locked in tight as Razetti desperately panics to reach for the ropes. He refuses to tap. Instead he puts his hands on the mat and with all of his strength, pulls back to get closer to the ropes. He reaches out and just barely grabs ahold of the bottom rope. The referee forces Jordan to release the hold.
Angry that the match isn’t over yet, Jordan drags Razetti back and goes for another figure four, but Razetti counters again, pushing Jordan into the ropes. He rolls him up into a schoolboy. “One! Two!” Kick out! Jordan looks to get a handle on this before Razetti makes another comeback. He sets him up in an inverted facelock position, preparing for the Downard Spiral, but Razetti battles out of it with right hands. He turns and spins out of the hold, then pulls Jordan into a standing front facelock, setting up for a DDT. Jordan counters in similar fashion, but pushes Razetti away. Razetti goes for a clothesline, Jordan ducks and plants a kick to the mid-section, sets him up into a double underhook looking for the Jordan Driver. He lifts Razetti in the air, about to drive him head first into the mat, but he manages to drop back to his feet quickly and breaks free of the underhook before flipping Jordan over with a back body drop. Jordan quickly gets back to his feet, holding his back as Razetti leaps over his shoulder and goes for the T2D! But Jordan reaches back and grabs the ropes at the last moment, causing Razetti to crash back into the canvas. Jordan quickly seizes the opportunity and locks him in the figure four leg lock once again! But this time, Razetti’s far away from the ropes. He tries to counter the move, beginning to turn both of them over to reverse the hold. But with the referee focused on tending to Razetti, Jordan reaches back and illegally grabs the ropes behind him for leverage and to prevent Razetti for countering, even giving Razetti a playful wink while he does it. The ref doesn’t see the blatant cheating. With no other options, Razetti can’t hold out any more and furiously taps the mat. The bell rings as Jordan releases the hold. “The Everlasting Gaze” by The Smashing Pumpkins hits the PA.

Laura Watts: Here is your winner by submission, HARVEY JORDAN!!!

Jordan gets up and raises his arms in victory, a hard fought victory! He exits the ring, pleased with his work while the referee checks on Razetti.

Ted Cedar: What a weak way to end the match, Crystov Razetti was fighting to counter the figure four and Harvey Jordan ended up cheating to win. What a cheap victory.

Joey Miles: A win’s a win, I guess!
