This looks good.. the idea behind it is great (again) and this time the actual plot seems solid. Although the first one was a major disappointment to me and I'm pretty sure I thought the same thing going into it.

Hated the ending of the first one but I love the concept behind this so I'll definitely be checking out the second one.

Thought the first one was decent, but they could have done way more with the idea. Hopefully this will be the one where they do.

The first one was good. I dont know what people honestly expected with it, but they showed what would happen if someone breached security during the Purge. This one furthers that concept.

^ Yeah but too much of the movie was based on the family hiding in darkness with literally nothing happening & then I didn't like how it led to the ending or the ending in general either.

That's what it was intending to do, show you a family living in fear for the night because they didnt know what was going to happen next, especially after they took in the black dude whom the gang of kids were after. Yeah, the climax was pretty shitty but it shouldnt ruin a movie overall. In a movie like that, sometimes too much is too much. Any home invasion horror flick shouldnt be nonstop movement. The sequel is furthering the franchise by showing you what happens out in the open.

The first Purge couldn't decide on the plot. It went from boyfriend to being the villain, to the invaders, to the neighbours.
