After a brief commercial break, Vendetta returns and it is all business in the ring as Derek Walter’s theme song ends, with “The Technicalitist” showcasing his impressive physique in the middle of the ring, his opponent James Carlisle sarcastically applauding by the ringside, having obviously made his entrance as well.  Returning back into the ring, Carlisle sniggers and shoots Walter a heated glare as he swings through the ring ropes, his eyes ablaze with wildfire, tapping his temple mouthing “You can’t outsmart me!”  where-as Walter stretches his legs in preparation of the contest ahead, shifting from boot to boot and the referee scuttles free, gesturing for the timekeeper to ring the bell and it is on!

Ding ding ding!!!

Joey Miles – “It’s clobberin’ time bitches!!”

Ted Cedar – “And we are underway, Derek Walter taking on James Carlisle in his errr… debut!”

Joey Miles – “I swear I’ve seen this fat bastard before!!”

Ted Cedar – “How can you possibly say that, he’s two hundred and…”

Joey Miles – “HE’S JUST A FAT BASTARD TED, OKAY?!!”

Ted Cedar – “Well whatever you have to say about him, from what we’ve been hearing in the back this evening, James Carlisle is a big deal…”

The bell rings three times and the match is indeed underway, as both Walter and Carlisle stare at one other from their respective ends of the ring.  James Carlisle stands firmly poised with his back to the turnbuckle, grinning back at Derek Walter with complete confidence, removing the T-shirt from his chest and folding it neatly by the ring-post, chuckling aloud and shaking his head as the young Derek Walter is the first to take the step out of the corner, one foot after the other, prompting The Narcissist to do the same and it begins.

Joey Miles – “Such an arrogant little prick… for a fat bastard!”

Ted Cedar – “I just don’t… I…”

It doesn’t take long for the two men to clash in a ferocious contest of strength, wrangling one another in a collar and elbow tie-up, tightly grappling back and forth, high and low, left and right, testing one another’s metal.  Despite the some forty pound size difference, Derek Walter proves he can hold his own, yet it isn’t strength that defeats Walter but the quick thinking technical prowess of his arguably smarter opponent, with one slip-up from Walter resulting in James seizing control.  The self-professed “Sex Braniac” quickly pops out of the tie and captures Walter from behind with a waist-lock, which becomes a side headlock almost immediately to Walter’s surprise.  The super-intelligent Australian grinds down on Derek’s neck before swiftly flipping him onto the mat with a takedown, cheekily pinning his shoulders down in the process.  Walter bursts from the mat in defiance just short of the two count, thrusting his pelvis up into an impressive kip-up and taking the leg right from under Carlisle with a single leg takedown,  reaching down yet “The Master Mind” instinctively pushes his boot into Derek’s neck, preventing his adversary from capitalizing on the tackle.  Left with limited options, the balding American rolls Carlisle into a leg-lock yet Carlisle, demonstrating his freakish skills on the mat, rolls right along with him and already begins wrapping Walter up into a figure four, looking to drop backward and seal the deal… surprised with an out of nowhere roll-up!

1!!

2!!

Joey Miles – “Shades of da nature boi!! WOOO-WOAHH!!!!”

Ted Cedar – “Where did that come from!  Walter rolls Carlisle up!”

3-KICKOUT!
.

Ted Cedar – “A near fall, and Carlisle is pissed!”

The “Narcissist” only just escapes defeat, gaping back at the referee then to Walter in complete astonishment, simply astounded he’d almost lost the match.  Surprise quickly becomes irate rage and Carlisle sprints at the wary Walter, who drops to the mat and makes James pass over him with a ginger skip.  The pace continues and James bounces from the ring ropes and back at Derek, Walter already thinking a hip-toss, much more savvier than that however the ring technician James thwarts Walter’s efforts with a resisting block, effectively clubbing Derek’s exposed abdomen, setting him up for a belly to back suplex, yet Walter flips over James shoulder in a clever counter and quickly seals his grip around James waist to blast him across the mat with a lightning quick German Suplex!  Both astounded and short-winded, James quickly slithers to the sanctuary of ringside, desperate to catch his breath but Derek Walter is already sling-shotting over the ropes without abandon, falling right into the fingers of Carlisle who prongs him with an eye-poke, much to the strong disapproval of the crowd, Carlisle backing up as Derek fumbles back against the apron, sprinting at the Technacalist and leveling him in the cheekbone with his “Dropkick With Brains” single-leg dropkick!!!

Ted Cedar – “They heard that kick way back in Australia!!”

Joey Miles – “Those Kangaroo kissers?!”

Walter reels on the axis of his left boot and flounders back against the crowd barricade dramatically, blinking back at an oncoming Carlisle, swinging a back elbow yet James weaves around it and unleashes a swift string of boots to Derek’s gut, making a point of the ribs in particular, turning up the aggressor and branching away from his typical tactics, taking Derek by the head and neck and bowling him into the steel steps nearby!  The audible CLANG echoes around Derek as he cannot help but reach for his abdomen immediately, confirming that Carlisle had indeed discovered a soft spot, James working at the chink in his opponents armor almost immediately, setting upon him with yet another string of quick kicks, reducing Derek further and further down into the side of the steps, stomping the proverbial mud-hole.  Taking the moment in the lead to turn his back on his overcome foe, Carlisle smiles to the crowd and taps his temple, proclaiming “He’s with stupid… STUPID… STUPID… STUPID!” as he finger-points firstly at Walter then to fans in the crowd at random, picking Walter up and slinging him inside the ring, all he did was give The Technacalist the breathing room he needed to struggle to his feet and chop the oncoming Carlisle right across the chest!  Carlisle’s plants his hands on his chest in astonishment, staggering backward as Derek forces his hands free and unleashes further knife edge hell, resorting to a kicking game to Carlisle’s ribs proving he can dish it out just as well, biding his time as Carlisle stumbles back, catching him up into a SNAP SUPLEX!!!

Ted Cedar – “Perfect... just perfect!”

James curls and writhes on the mat, pulled onto his feet by Derek only to strike Walter in the troubled ribs with a quick jab.  Carlisle comes to his senses and kicks Walter, again focusing on the weaknesses available, landing a clean European uppercut slice which staggers Walter against the ring ropes behind him.  “The Brain Rapist” takes his time, picking his movements before jabbing Derek in the sides again, taking him by the neck and ramming him into the turnbuckle with a cry of determination.  Carlisle takes up a campaign of merciless kicks, grinning before casually applying an abdominal stretch yet Derek wills himself to throw Carlisle onto the mat!  Walter looks for an armbar yet James won’t have it, pulling Walter from the mat and twisting him up with a hammerlock ,  grinning with accomplishment only for Derek to turn the tables, escaping to capture Carlisle in the very hold, rapidly spinning to drop Carlisle to the mat with a lightning quick droptoehold, maneuvering around and looking for a headlock however Carlisle is too quick, wrenching Derek right back into an armbar and pressing his nose into the mat.

Joey Miles – “This is actually fricking awesome.”

Ted Cedar – “Holds back and forth, counter on counter, I’m having a tough time not getting too immersed in this.  I am absolutely loving this right now!”

Derek takes a breath, spitting on the mat as he attempts to twist and nudge his way to freedom from the arm-bar predicament, finding the right angle to get a leg in and rise from the mat, James tries to hold on but Walter is already upright, Carlisle instinctively latching onto the neck in a headlock once again yet Walter pushes them both back against the ropes, breaking free and shoving James into a full-blown sprint across the ring, throwing an immense lariat yet Carlisle weaves around it, seeking to unleash a clothesline of his own yet Derek ducks under that one as well and wraps Carlisle up with a rear waistlock, heaving him from the mat yet Carlisle anchors his way back onto his feet in true veteran fashion, spent Walter looks for the ropes for momentum, yet Carlisle latches onto them and thrusts backwards, trying to rid himself of the Walter pest yet Derek bravely locks on tight with the waistlock, absolutely determined to hit that german suplex and Carlisle, seething and growling as he tries to fight free, only to spin backwards and trade places with Derek exactly,  yet Walter simply calms himself down, and delivers a powerful pendulum-esque back elbow smash to Carlisle’s face which echoes throughout the arena!!  Carlisle’s head flaps back at the neck and James staggers backwards in a daze, curled forward and clobbered senseless.

Ted Cedar – “HELLO!!!”

Joey Miles – “Oh shiiii… he broke every bone in his face, I swear?!!  BAM!!!”

Derek not wasting any time in running the ring to bounce back from the ropes, a recovering Carlisle jumps for the dropkick, only Walter pulls his momentum to a complete stop, leaving Carlisle to land flat on his back and howl in pain.  This seems to be Walter’s time to shine, looking to peel James from the mat and seal him up around the waist for a German Suplex, it looks good, only James Carlisle rolls Derek up into a small package.  One~Two~~  Walter reverses the package and makes it his own!  One~Two~~  Carlisle scrambles free, rolling to one knee, immediately wrangling Walter up into a headlock, pulling him up, Walter looks for the ring ropes but James slings Derek across the ring with ferocity, to his complete surprise however, Walter comes back like a runaway train and flattens James with a shoulder block!  Walter takes a breath, staring down on James grabbing him at the legs looking for ‘The End’ sharpshooter submission yet Carlisle kicks free and takes Walter by the three-quarter facelock, looking to run up the turnbuckles in the corner with his Mindblown finisher yet Derek yanks Carlisle back from the turnbuckle, plummeting to the mat hard.

Joey Miles – “Ouch.”

Ted Cedar – “Carlisle just dropped on his neck.  I believe that was a Shinobi-type maneuver if you will, he calls that Mindblown but he really misjudged that one!”

Carlisle’s first reaction is to grab his head and neck, kicking his heels on the mat and clearly cursing in frustration and Walter rolls him on his back and covers him, simply looking to secure a victory.  The referee counts a solid two count but James kicks out, crawling on all fours and Walter doesn’t give him any opportunity to recover, drilling him on the back with a quick elbow drop, picking Carlisle up from the mat and savaging him in the chest with a big chop!  The crowd groan as does Carlisle, taking a moment to recover from the blow, Walter keeping the assault on thick with a punch to the back, only to strike him down with another chop to the chest!  Hanging from the ropes dramatically, Carlisle grunts in sheer agony, pulled onto his feet and pressed against the ropes momentarily before thrown across the ring with an irish whip, lowering his stance to put James away in the setup for the samoan drop yet Carlisle kicks Derek square in the face… which audibly cracks on impact, spinning Walter around and violently snapping him to the canvas with his devastating CHANGE RAISING rolling cutter!!!

Joey Miles – “AAARGH!!!!”

Ted Cedar – “What on Earth was that?!!”

Joey Miles – “The end of the match, Theodore, that’s fucking what!!!!”

It is Carlisle’s time to roll Walter on his back now for the cover, in a seemingly unstoppable situation, as the count begins… one… two… three!!!-

Ding Ding Ding!!!

“Super Bad” by James Brown hits as the bell rings and James Carlisle rolls out of the ring immediately, scowling and clutching his neck, stepping backwards and staring down his fallen opponent, the hint of a smirk cracking through his snarl as he raises both hands in the air, celebrating his surprise win backing up the ramp.

Ted Cedar – “And Carlisle wins his debut match here in the XWA!”

Joey Miles – “Shut your hole you slag!!  We all know thats James Best!”

And the show goes on.
