The Wrestling Observer is reporting WWE and 2K chose John Cena for this year's WWE 2K15 cover to increase numbers. Cena is more well known than Daniel Bryan, and was actually picked to be the cover athlete several months ago, before Bryan even won the title at Wrestlemania XXX.

Cena has never had a singular cover, and the belief is that Cena haters are still going to buy the game regardless.

BP: Cena hasn't been featured on a cover since Smackdown vs RAW 2011, which also featured Big Show and The Miz. There has been discussion online about when, not if, Cena would get a cover since he is the biggest star they have, and he hasn't been featured the past several years. With the 'Special Edition" of the game, and fan and contest cover art, the 'haters' may not even keep the Cena cover art.

Former TNA Knockout Rosita has been used as one of Adam Rose's Rosebuds on WWE TV lately, and WWE may be close to signing her. Rosita, real name Thea Trinidad, was prominently shown on screen during Money In The Bank and RAW, which may be a sign they will sign her soon.

He's their main dude. It was hardly rocket science as to why <_<

Makes sense. They put The Rock on the last one by himself. Why not Cena, who's still with the company?

Wrestling fans won't base their decision to buy the game based on who's on the cover, anyway. They'll buy it based on the gameplay and roster, and this year has the debut of the Wyatts. Of course they'll still buy it. The cover could be anything.

The cover, if it affects sales at all, will only matter to casual fans who have some extra money to spend on games. They like Cena, so it'll push them to buy it.

I don't personally put much stock into the covers of franchise games, though. Everyone knows what they're getting, so the cover matters very little. They're much more important for new games and franchises, which are more of an unknown commodity.

Taeler Hendrix was also in the background, dancing on the table. I hope they sign her to a contract - she's awesome.
