I'm hoping not to need this at all, as I'm working on my post now, but once again, I'm requesting a possible 24 hour extension. Only if my post isn't up by the deadline. Reason being is that we're starting to get some of a hurricane that's passing through the Eastern US and Atlantic Canada and a fair few places not far from here have already lost power. As long as the power doesn't go out, though, I should be able to get it done in the next twelve hours. This is pretty last minute, so if the answer is no, that's fine.

DING DING DING

The timekeeper rings the bell to begin the match, and the capacity crowd is in a buzz about the return of the Southern Aviator! Mack wastes absolutely no time in punctuating his return as he takes off at a dead run towards Chapman, launching himself at the advancing Silent Protagonist with a Front Dropkick! The Canadian competitor quickly retreats a step and reaches out, grabbing a hold of his opponent's extended legs and letting the southern-born competitor fall with a Double Leg Takedown. As Mack's back strikes the ring mat, Rob quickly flips over his opponent, holding onto his legs and landing in a bridging Jacknife Pin! Referee Ryu Sanu drops to count the pin, but only reaches his knees before the tenacious Tennessean kicks free of the pin! Wrapping his arms around around Chapman's mid-section, Mack bridges up himself and quickly spins his body, placing Rob in what looks to be a Powerbomb setup. Before Chapman can react to his opponent's quick maneuvering, Mack clamps his knees down on either side of Rob's head and hops up, slamming his feet back down to deliver a jarring Neckbreaker! Stunned, the Haligonian is helpless to resist as his opponent goes for an early pin attempt himself, leaping again and flipping over Chapman to bring him down with a Sunset Flip pin! The referee drops like it's hot to count the pin, but the Canadian musters a kick out on the count of one, rolling backwards onto his stomach- away from Mack. Mack rolls backwards almost in stereo, with the difference being that the smaller wrestler is able to roll straight to his feet. As Rob gets about halfway to a vertical base, Mack charges at him once again, but the Straight Edge Outlaw drops right back down to all fours, avoiding a clothesline attempt from his opponent, who continues his momentum into the ropes. Rob quickly rolls onto his back again, and as Mack ricochets off of the far ropes, he's taken for a surprise ride as Chapman plants both feet in his stomach and sends him flying overhead with a modified Monkey Flip! Rob then nips up to his feet just in time to see Mack hit the canvas, only to transition straight into a perfect front roll, right back up to his feet! Mack turns on a dime to face Super Xero in a combative stance that mirrors the Canadian's, and there is a brief moment of pause as both competitors are admittedly impressed with one another.

The crowd cheers in approval for both competitors, applauding the exceptional ability of both Rob Chapman and Mack.

Ted
"Exceptional athleticism on display by both of these athletes! I have a feeling we're going to see a lot of that before this contest is through!"

Joey
"Hey Theodore, can you wake me up when one of them actually hits a fucking move so I can say something spiteful and depreciating? Thanks. You're a fat fuckin' pal."

Mack nods and smiles in approval, pausing for a moment to applaud along with the fans as he begins to pace about the ring. Even the usually-stoic Chapman wears a smirk, mirroring Mack's movements in the ring and crouching down for a moment like a football player getting ready to make a tackle. While the two draw closer, Rob claps his hands together and nods affirmatively at Mack, meeting The Southern Aviator in the center of the ring for a collar-and-elbow tie-up! As the two jockey for position, it becomes clear very quickly which one of them has the strength advantage, as Rob begins to push Mack, leading him in a quick circle around the ring. Before Mack can use this momentum against him, Rob ends the tie-up and quickly snaps to one side, slinging his arm around his opponent's head as he applies a picture perfect Side Headlock to his opponent. The Tennessean grunts in displeasure as Rob cranks upwards on his neck, applying gratuitous pressure to his spinal cord. He attempts to pry Chapman's hands off from around his head, but the process is like trying to remove a bolt without removing the nut. With power being a non-option, Mack turns to his superior agility instead. A quick flurry of punches to the ribs softens the aggressor's grip and gives Mack the window he needs, latching onto Chapman's wrist with both hands and spinning out of the hold whilst simultaneously wrenching Rob's arm straight into a Hammerlock!

There is a fair amount of cheering as the duo chain-wrestles their way through each of the other's offense; it's shocking how much both competitors have the wherewithal to avoid in their first meeting!

Ted
"Great technical maneuvering on display by both men! Both of them know their craft quite well to be here."

Joey
"Right. Okay. Something, something, something, fuck these fraternal looking motherfuckers."

Chapman inhales sharply, but remains silent. He begins attempting to knock the Nashville native off of him, throwing elbows with his free arm, but Mack is too far off to the other side for Rob to be able to reach. Just as he misses his last elbow, the slick southerner ducks his head down underneath of Rob's arm, hooking it around his neck and straightening up. Just as it looks like Mack is about to go for a modified Backdrop, he releases Rob's arm and swings his own around, attempting a modified Lariat Takedown known as the Pepsi Twist! Unfortunately for Mack, Chapman is far more versed in this maneuver, having used it as a finisher at one time, and ducks down, latching his arms around the spinning competitor and applying a Rear Waistlock! This turns out to be the shortest lived- hold yet, as Mack simply continues his momentum and pivots around the former 2WWF Champion, applying a Rear Waistlock of his own! Still looking for that early advantage, Mack tries to go big by delivering a German Suplex to his larger opponent, but Rob stonewalls that attempt, throwing his own weight in the opposite direction and then going limp, effectively sandbagging and blocking the move. Bracing himself, Mack then attempts to take Rob over a second time, but Chapman manages to hook his leg around Mack's, keeping himself firmly grounded. As Mack attempts to brace himself up again, Rob connects with a pair of back elbow strikes from either side, knocking his opponent off of him in a daze! Chapman knows he needs to move quicker than Mack; no easy feat, as he turns on a dime and quickly grabs his opponent by the head, reeling him into a Front Facelock. Rob finally looks be getting some poignant offense in, slamming his knee right into Mack's gut with a trio of Muay Thai-like knee strikes. Heavy grunts escape Mack as he's battered; the sound of air being forced out of his body enough to elicit sympathy from any fighter who's taken knees like that in their life. With his opponent battered, The Silent Protagonist hopes for the best as he hooks Mack's arm around his head and attempts to hoist the lighter man up into the lights with a Vertical Suplex. He seems to have put a little too much faith into those knee strikes, however, as Mack hooks his leg around Rob's, keeping the Canadian from doing much other than straining himself. Rob attempts the Suplex one more time, but Mack again blocks by hooking the leg. Suddenly, Chapman's the one being hoisted, as Mack tries to turn the tables with a Vertical Suplex of his own, but LionHeart manages to sandbag himself again, before Mack can get him past his center of gravity. As his boot soles touch the canvas, Chapman looks to be fed up with with this stalemate and rips his head free from the XWA veteran's forearm. Before Mack can react, he's shaken violently as Rob strikes him full force, sending the Tennessee titan reeling with an uncharacteristic Headbutt right between the eyes!

A hook of jeers just cuts through the general crowd excitement as Rob strikes down the XWA Triple Crown holder with a rather dirty move, and it starts to increase in volume as he motions for the former XWA Champion to 'come on'.

Ted
"Hey! There's no need of that! Talk about taking the low road."

Joey
"Ha! And for a brief window in time, there was hair on the balls of Rob Chapman."

Mack shakes his head as he stumbles backwards, trying to rid himself of the ensuing double vision. As reality slowly comes back together, he narrows his gaze upon a preying Chapman, charging blindly at the Canadian only to find himself suddenly on his back from a quick Arm Drag! The Nashville native slams his fists off of the canvas in anger as he bounds back to his feet, charging at Rob and throwing a clothesline, only for his opponent to drag his arm and ground him once again! Mack scurries to his feet, albeit with a little less gusto and a lot less wherewithal, clambering straight into Chapman, who catches and whips Mack right back to the canvas with a well-executed Side Headlock Takedown! The Nova Scotian keeps his arm firmly wrapped around Mack's cranium, cranking up on his neck from the ground as he focuses on wearing Mack out in the early goings. The Tennessean pries at his culturally inverse opponent's strong arm, but finds himself able to do little except steal quick, shrill breaths from brief reprieves. The fight in Mack begins to gradually die down the longer Chapman maintains his strict vice. Even in a state of wavering consciousness, Mack realizes he needs to find a different means of escape, but with the hold being grounded, he'll need to look for a different method. Or will he? The proverbial light bulb above Mack's head illuminates in an instant as he gets an idea, and with his dithering supply of oxygen, the southern-bred speedster begins to bridge up, somewhat negating the upward pressure of the headlock and weakening Rob's hold. Without a moment to lose, Mack twists his body free, rolling directly out of the Side Headlock and wrenching Chapman's arm to bar it behind his predatory opponent with a Hammerlock! With the tides turned, Mack manages to get one of his feet under him and bring himself up to a single knee, adding downward pressure to the still-seated Chapman and putting his shoulder through a lot of discomfort. The Canadian once again lets out a hiss of pain, and quickly bridges up with his legs, swinging them around to bring himself up to both knees. He begins to swing his free arm backwards, once again bashing the side Mack's head with desperate back elbow strikes, severely lessening the pressure on his arm and shoulder before Mack can get his bearings again. Reaching back over his shoulder, Rob rises up a knee and applies a three-quarter Facelock to his opponent. With as much power as he can muster, Chapman manages to flip the startled  two-hundred and ten-pounder over his shoulder with a Snapmare! The Artistic Anomaly acts quickly, hooking Mack's arms as he lands seated and locking them behind his head with a grounded Full Nelson!

The crowd admittedly quiets down a bit as the pace of the match begins to slow; the ambiance broken by the occasional fan cheering loudly for either Mack or Chapman, though primarily Mack. Especially words of reassurance from the fans of The Southern Aviator.

Joey
"Jesus fucking CHRIST. This lame shit is getting tiring... but I will have to laugh if Mack gives up to a fucking Full Nelson."

Ted
"The Full Nelson, as with many other traditional holds, can be just as dangerous as anything else when applied correctly. I wouldn't mind seeing you put in one."

Joey
"I wouldn't mind if Chapman put you in a Full Nelson either, but we both know you have too much fucking back fat for it to actually work."

Mack yelps, growls, and groans as his shoulder blades are forced together with as much pressure as his opponent can muster. Such a simple move, and usually, it was easily escapable unless applied by a master of the maneuver. But with the move residing on the ground, Mack doesn't have the option of slinking down and out of the hold; he's got to pull his arms free of his stronger opponent's grasp. He'd have to. Otherwise... what? He refused to submit to such a simple, underwhelming move. A Full Nelson? in 2014? In XWA? In his return match? Not. Fucking. Happening. With a defiant roar, Mack resists his opponent's vice, slowly bringing his arms back together and actually managing to pull Rob's hands apart. While Chapman is initially shocked, he's quick to re-direct his attention, lifting a leg and proceeding to slam the butt of his knee directly into the lower back of The Southern Aviator! Once! Twice! Three times! Third time's the charm, as that last knee to the vertebrae is enough to break Mack's spirit for the moment, allowing Rob to re-secure his grip. Within seconds, the tide has turned back in Chapman's favour. Worse still, for Mack, the Canadian decides to add another dimension to the hold as he brings his legs around, wrapping them directly around the ribcage of his opponent, crushing his sides with a Body Scissors! Mack lets out another growl to mask his pain as air is squeezed from his lungs, like someone slowly forcing the air out a balloon. Realizing that he may actually have a chance at a submission victory with this hold, Rob throws himself onto his back, crushing Mack's ribs just a little bit more with his legs as the hold is once again modified to stretch Mack's body outward!

Though XWA fans are most known for their love of the Hardcore, or rather, "Xtreme" grappling arts, the technical action is largely entertaining to many, and Rob gets a hook of soft cheers for the interesting variation on his classic hold.

Joey
"Why is this hold still going? Is the referee asleep in there? I can't tell, his chinky fucking eyes always look closed to me."

Ted
"This hold is still going, because of the tenacity of both these incredible competitors, partner!"

Joey
"Well, that or these fucks are made of rubber."

Mack continues to moan and writhe as his body is stretched and warped by Chapman's painful submission hold. The Tennessean eventually ceases all form of visible resistance, prompting the referee to check on him worriedly. As he's asked one of the most demeaning questions in wrestling, all he can do is shake his head in refusal as he tries to figure out a way to free himself from his grievous predicament. The Nashville native looks to be fading when the idea bulb finally goes off once again, and Mack begins attempting to pull his arms together as he had before. Rob responds by cranking up the pressure on his body scissors, unable to do much more with the Full Nelson... which Mack himself counts on, continuing to draw his arms in and weaken Chapman's grip. Mack begins to heave upward, much to the crowd's approval. Finally, with a mighty tug, The Southern Aviator sits straight up, pulling his arms out from underneath Rob's grip! Rob tries to tighten the pressure on his body scissors even further, but that hope is quickly dashes as Mack repeatedly bludgeon's Rob's padded knee with a series of downward Double Axe Handles! Rob quickly releases the hold to avoid getting his knees broken by Mack's strikes, only to get kicked straight in the face as Mack finds his second wind and pops up to his feet! As Rob clutches at his aching orbital bone, a slightly dogged Mack regains enough composure to follow up, running at the ropes behind him as Rob gets up onto all fours. As Mack rebounds at his opponent, he's taken aback and down as Rob suddenly swings his entire lower body around, kicking his opponent's legs out from under him with a sweep, continuing the motion as he throws himself backwards into a vertical handstand and finally flips back onto his feet, completing a starfish kipup as part of the Fast Forward; But at the same time, Mack lands on his own hands and bounds straight back to his feet with a kip up of his own, ending with the two facing each other in combative stances once again!

As both competitors athletically return to their feet, the crowd can't help but cheer wildly once again, though they're unabashedly on the side of Mack, as the mounting chants of "Let's Go Mack!" blatantly attest.

Ted
"What athleticism by both men! Rob spins up to his feet like a ninja after that sweep kick, and Mack bounds back up before he can even land!"

Joey
"Did... did you just use the word Ninja? Don't you ever utter that fucking word again. The word 'ninja' should not ever be spoken by somebody with more neck fat than Jabba The Hutt."

This time Rob is the one who gets caught unaware, failing to react quickly as Mack lunges at him and takes him down with a Clothesline just below the neck. Shaking his head in disbelief, Rob slams his fists off of the canvas and pushes himself up as Mack ricochets off the ropes, looking to go to the well a second time. As Mack swings for the fences with another Clothesline, LionHeart meets him head on, ducking and hooking his arm around the outstretched limb as he pivots around to a supine position. Before Mack has time to think, he's lifted off of the ground in a freakishly strong Half Nelson, as Rob uses his free arm to grab Mack's head, bringing him down to the canvas with a Neckbreaker! Rob rises almost immediately, only to drop straight back down with an impactful leg drop to Mack's neck! Swinging his legs around, Rob hooks Mack's leg, attempting to pin Mack for the second time this match. Ryu Sanu slides in to make the count! "One! Tw-" Mack kicks in surprisingly brisk fashion; evidently, he has a lot more in store for Chapman. He's not getting Hulk Hogan'd. Rob shakes his head, questioning neither Mack or the official as he erupts to his feet, leaving them again and suddenly flattening Mack's body with a beautiful Standing Shooting Star Press out of nowhere! Rob covers again! "One! Two!" Sanu hollers, only to cease his count as Mack gets the shoulder up again!

The crowd cheers once for the kickout, then even more loudly for the surprise Shooting Star Press. Finally, they give a mighty POP for Mack's second kickout!

Joey
"Oooh, flippy shit! But isn't that Mack's thing?"

Ted
"Two count only! Chapman scores a two count with that beautiful Shooting Star Splash out of nowhere!"

Rob is a little more visibly dismayed by Mack's escape this time, simply staring at him and shaking his head, most likely wondering how much it's actually going to take to wear the Tennessean down. Pushing himself back onto weary legs, he seeks to shake off his doubt, grabbing Mack by the head and lifting the southerner up with his back turned. The Straight Edge Outlaw shows renewed focus almost immediately, hooking Mack right back into a Full Nelson, checking over his shoulder to see if he's got space. With a mighty heave, Rob powers Mack up for his signature Dragon Suplex, but The Southern Aviator frees his arms before Rob can take him over and extends his feet, slamming Chapman right in the chin with both feet in a Mule Kick! The unanticipated kick knocks the Canadian competitor flat on his back, clutching at his jaw as Mack rolls right up to his feet and takes straight off into the ropes! As he bounds back towards a prone Chapman, he hops toward his opponent, landing on his feet in front of the Haligonian before jumping almost straight up, flipping his body in spite of gravity and crashing down across Rob's chest with a beautiful Standing 450 Splash! Mack hooks his opponent's leg right away, attempting a pinfall, but as Ryu slides over, he's only able to count to two before Rob gets his shoulder up defiantly! Mack bounds pretty much straight back up to his feet as Chapman kicks out of the pin, turning his back to the Canadian combatant and measuring Chapman up; taking off into the ropes again as Rob stumbles to his feet in a daze. Right as Rob reaches a vertical base, Mack leaps upon the second rope, launching himself back the way he came, flooring Chapman like a boomerang with a Springboard Cross Body! Mack hooks Chapman's leg as they hit the mat, going for another pin as Ryu drops to count the fall! "One! Two!" No! Two count only as Rob forcefully kicks out of the Lateral Press!

The crowd is on the edge of their seat as Mack starts delivering that hard hitting, high flying offense that's made him famous!

Joey
"Therrrrrrrrre we go. Now Mack's doing his flippy shit that's somehow still called wrestling."

Ted
"This time it's Mack with the two count off that beautiful Cross Body! These competitors are kicking it into high gear!"

Mack doesn't fret as Chapman kicks out; he's got the former 2WWF Champion on the ropes! He can almost see the Intercontinental Title draw closer as he lifts Rob back up to a standing position. With a twist of the arm, the Nashville-born battler sends Rob toward the ropes with an Irish Whip, but The Artistic Anomaly manages to turn it around and send his opponent toward the ropes instead! As Mack is sent hurdling, he bounces off the ropes and bounds back at Chapman like an American driver on the Autobahn; ripping across the ring at top speed. Chapman hunches over, preparing a Back Body Drop, but the two-hundred and ten-pounder simply rolls right over Rob's back, landing on his feet behind the Halidax native! Like the a moving a see-saw, Mack touching ground is marked opposingly by Rob leaving his feet as his opponent turns toward him, executing a standing, twisting back flip to bring his foot down in a Corkscrew Kick... except it turns out that Mack Doesn't Blink, catching Rob's outstretched foot and dropping him to the ground! The Nashville native can literally hear the breath knocked out of Rob's lungs as he strikes the canvas back-first. Mack immediately flips the Canadian onto his stomach, dropping down to apply an immobilizing Ankle Lock with a Grapevine to his bewildered adversary!  Rob panics, clawing around at the mat and reaching for the nearest set of ropes. Arms outstretched, he grabs for the rubberized steel cables, but is nowhere near enough to manage a rope break. Mack has the ankle lock cinched in deep, and Rob's entire rib cage feels like a wood stove, with his lungs playing the part of fire. Once again, he reaches out for the rope before realizing how far away it really is. Determination sets into those exhausted eyes; losing to Hennig in his second match was rough, but to lose the match after that as well? His mouth twists into a grimace, and the Canadian combatant snarls as- by his forearms- he begins to drag himself AND Mack across the ring toward the nearest set of ropes!

The crowd begins to cheer for The Southern Aviator, and attempt to help him by battering Rob's confidence; "Make Him Tap! Make Him Tap!" echoes mercilessly throughout the arena!

Joey
"Goddamnit, has this idiot never watched a fucking Kurt Angle match? THIS MOVE IS SO FUCKING EASY TO COUNTER."

Ted
"There's nothing easy about having two hundred and ten pounds weighing your leg down as the tendons are torn apart by the hold itself, Joey! And Mack looks like he's trying to pull that damn foot right off!"

Chapman's crawl across the ring is an agonizing, self-destructive mess. Mack continues twisting, and twisting, and twisting Rob's ankle, bending and warping the tendons out of shape in a determined effort to either make the man submit, or at least to keep him grounded for the remainder of the match. The Canadian hisses loudly before finally uttering a growl of pain... and determination, as he finally manages to wrap his outstretched hand around the bottom rope! The referee immediately moves in, demanding that Mack break the hold, which The Southern Aviator does, almost begrudgingly. As he untangles his legs from around his opponent's, watching Rob repeatedly kick the canvas in an attempt to spur feeling in his lower leg, he once again begins to visualize the Intercontinental Title around his waist. If he can win this first match, he can win damn near any match, overcoming his own ring rust to kick start his return. Snapping back to reality, the agile acrobat begins to measure up The Artistic Anomaly as he laboriously pulls himself to a vertical base using the top rope. As Chapman turns to meet his opponent, he attempts to rush the Tennessean, only to stumble on his weakened leg, giving Mack easy access to drop down and kick the ravaged him out from under him! Rob goes straight down from the low dropkick, clutching at his knee in both hands and unleashing a scream through gritted teeth, slamming his head off of the mat in a frustrated attempt to re-direct the pain. Mack doesn't allow him any more time to do so as he grabs Rob's battered leg and drags him to the center of the ring. Chapman's discomfort is quite visible as he slaps the canvas on either side of him, and is multiplied considerably as the Nashville native drops a hard elbow right into the soft back of Rob's knee! Then he's back up to drop a second! And a third!

The ensuing jeers as Rob gets to the ropes are quickly drowned out as Mack continues damaging his opponent's leg, smashing the back of his knee repeatedly with elbows!

Ted
"Mack is absolutely taking it to Rob's right leg! That's definitely a sound strategy, ensuring that Rob can't out-run his agile in-ring style!"

Joey
"Mack doesn't need to injure Rob's leg in order to prove that Rob can't out-run him. Rob wasn't even capable of keeping up with him in the first fucking place! Mack's like a retarded mosquito on fucking crack!"

Seeking to continue the punishment to Chapman's right leg, he lifts the Canadian's ankle again and begins to step over his leg for some type of leg hold. Rob seems to realize what's going on, and sits up, throwing haymakers at the hunched over Tennessean. Mack simply slips Rob's desperate strikes, and conintues manipulating his opponent's legs until he's able to throw himself backwards onto his hands, securing a Figure-Four Leg Lock! Chapman growls in frustrated displeasure, clenching his fists and his teeth. All he can do is shake his head 'no' as Ryu Sanu asks the Canadian competitor whether or not he wants to submit. The scene remains like this for a fairly long moment, and Chapman looks like he's about ready to either tap or pass out. He's tried twisting his body to either side to roll the Tennessean over, but it's been to no avail. Chapman seems to have lost a bit of his signature longevity in his absence from the ring, and one has to wonder whether he'll be able to top his February performance against Danny Diamond, or if that should have been his last match. Right now, LionHeart seems to be completely spent, laying in a state of depreciating consciousness as Mack begins bridging himself up on his hands to try and get a tapout from his enervated opponent. It's just as Mack appears to become comfortable with the hold, that we see a flicker of that renowned toughness and ring awareness from Chapman; As Mack begins to lower himself out of that bridged position, Chapman bridges up on his own hands, taking advantage of his opponent's weakening balance to successfully roll him over, reversing the pressure on the Figure-Four! Mack yelps in surprise, his face frozen in the image of a wide-eyed scream as he clutches at his hair, shaking his head and outright refusing to submit!

The reaction is a mix of cheers and jeers as Rob reverses the pressure on the Figure-Four, garnering a little bit of retribution for his damaged leg as Mack's knees are bent in ways they're not meant to go!

Ted
"The Figure-Four is reversed by Chapman! He turns the pressure right back around on Mack!"

Joey
"I don't think I'll ever understand why anybody does that move when you literally counter it by rolling over. Even YOU could probably get out of this hold just based on how easily you roll "

Ted
"And I don't think I'll ever understand how you still have a job."

Although Rob maintains the hold for a good, long moment, he eventually runs out of strength to maintain it, and drops to the canvas. He tries to crawl away from the hold, but the referee has to step in and separate both wrestlers' legs from their entanglement. With both men decidedly grounded, Sanu begins a count toward ten to signify a double knock out. This seems to stir something up in both competitors fairly quickly, as Mack begins a crawl towards the ropes, whilst Rob slowly recovers to all fours. At a count of only three, Mack has pulled himself up to the height of the second rope, and Chapman has recovered to a single knee, still having some difficulty getting his right leg under him. By a count of five, both wrestlers are back on their feet, and Mack makes it perfectly clear which one of them still has the majority of their mobility, as he charges headlong at the Straight Edge Outlaw almost immediately, only to be denied as Chapman advances to meet him, catching The Southern Aviator in a Uranage; Chapman hoists Mack straight up and hurls him back at the canvas like a shot-put to connect with the Acid Reign! As Mack descends to land hard on his upper back, Rob's knee buckles from the strain; the Haligonian drops back down to a single knee, then again to a seated position, where he slides back and lays across Mack's chest in a pin attempt. "One! Two!" Only two as Mack powers his shoulder up! Chapman is visibly distraught at the prospect of having to stand again, but begins to do so disdainfully, glaring at his opponent through his otherwise pained expression the whole while. Chapman begins growl at Mack, possibly to psyche himself up as the Nashville-born wrestler also begins to clamber to a footed base. Turning to one side, Chapman sees a nearby set of ropes and takes off without thinking, ignoring the obvious limp in his spring and leaping up onto the second rope, looking for that signature Springboard Kick! This proves to be an enormous mistake on the part of Super Xero, as his right ankle slips on the ring rope and Rob falls hard, slamming the back of his head off of the canvas as his legs remain hooked atop the ropes.

The excitement of the crowd increases with anticipation as the former 2WWF Champion looks to take to the skies, only to slip and fall right on his neck rather unceremoniously. A small "You Fucked Up" chant begins to break out in response, but doesn't last long as the focus of the crowd turns...

Ted
"Oh no! That's why moves like that are considered high risk folks! There's always that chance for them to backfire!"

Joey
"Ha! Right on his fucking neck! That's what you get you stupid twat!"

As weary as he is, Mack understands exactly how large of an opportunity this is, and how much of a mistake not capitalizing on it would be. He charges at his fallen opponent in spite of the lack of feeling in his legs; Ryu Sanu quickly scrambles out of the way from checking on Chapman as the Nashville-born-and-bred competitor comes flying through the air to drop a knee right between Chapman's eyes! Sanu begins to admonish Mack a little for attacking the Canadian competitor while he's still tied up in the ropes, but simply gives up as Mack pulls Chapman out of the ropes for him, then covers him with a lateral press, making sure to hook Chapman's right leg. "One! Two! Th-" No! Two again, as Rob manages to get his left foot on the bottom rope at a count of two! Close call! Mack looks frustrated, but not terribly surprised; after all, it was just a knee drop. Chapman hadn't hurt himself quite enough before that for it to spell the end after all. Rising back to his feet, panting in exhaustion, Mack looks to the ropes, and out to the crowd who greets him with a loud cheer of approval. He nods his head before looking down to Chapman, who's begun to roll away from him, but not yet begun to stand. The volume of the crowd increases once again as Mack climbs out of the ring, through the ropes, and steps out onto the apron, gripping the top rope firmly in his hands. As Chapman soon begins to rise, the Tennessean begins to hop up and down with anticipation, pulling on the rope to make sure it's good to go. As Rob stumbles around, turning towards the ropes where his fate awaits him, Mack shows everyone exactly why he''s known as The Southern Aviator, as he vaults up onto the top rope with both feet before springing off and catapulting himself into a captivating back flip before bearing down on Chapman to land the latter half of the Shooting Star Piledriver... only to be caught out of the air and brought crashing down to earth like a meteor as he's delivered immediately to the canvas with a savage Snap Powerbomb known only as Rage! The Silent Protagonist remains strewn over Mack's crumpled body, pinning his shoulders to the mat!

The crowd just roars at the Shooting Star Piledriver being countered with an absolutely wicked powerbomb, and counts loudly along with the referee a moment later! Alignments are forgotten in the wake of the destruction!

Ted
"GOOD GOD ALMIGHTY! What a Powerbomb by Rob Chapman!"

Joey
"Holy crucified fuck-Christ, he's pinning him! This long-ass piss break is finally over!"

Ryu drops to count the pin, his counts echoed by the crowd! "One! Two! Thr-" Even the crowd counts three, but Mack somehow finds a way to explode out of the pin last-minute, throwing his shoulder up and flipping onto his stomach as Rob falls to his side, immobile. Both men lay writhing, chests heaving in breathless agony. Both having gotten far more than they bargained for in the inaugural round of an Intercontinental Title tournament. Once more, the referee has begun to issue a double knockout count, though neither of them are particularly quick to respond this time. It's at a count of five- a point where both wrestlers were fully standing last time- that either of them begin to stir. And this time, the roles are reversed, as Mack is the one who begins to crawl toward the middle of the ring on all fours, whilst Rob needs the ropes to slowly pull himself up. By the time the count of seven rolls around, Rob managed to reach his feet, but Mack is still stuck on all fours. Hobbling at first, the Straight Edge Outlaw sees his opportunity emerge, and immediately takes off into the ropes adjacent his opponent. There's a definite limp to the Halifax native's step as he rebounds toward his opponent. Like an oncoming truck with a flat tire: it might not be rolling smoothly, but it can still run you the fuck over. And that's exactly what Chapman intends to do, extending his wounded leg as he attempts to kick the head right off of Mack's shoulders, only to miss as Mack tactfully rolls out of the way- playing possum! - And Rob skids to a halt, just barely catching himself on his hands after throwing his full weight into the kick. Shakily, the former 2WWF Champion recovers as much composure as he can while his opponent bounds back up, once again showcasing what's under his hood, ricocheting off of the ropes to come at Chapman top speed! As The Southern Aviator approaches the ring's center, he leaves his feet, leaping at his adversary to bear down on him with a clothesline, only to see Rob launch himself out of a tackle stance and leap straight at him! Bodies collide above the mat as Chapman takes Mack directly out of the air with a debilitating Spear, flipping his body forward as they descend unto the canvas to land in a beautiful Bridge Pin! Ryu slides over heroically to count the pin! "One! Two! Th-" No! Right as Ryu reaches a count of two, Rob's right leg falters beneath him, breaking the bridge an allowing Mack to get the shoulder up just shy of three!

Once again, the crowd erupts as the Flying Dagger makes contact with Mack out of mid-air! As the referee counts, jeers start to envelop the cheers for the maneuver, but are quickly replaced b a loud POP as Mack finds a way to kick out of the devastating maneuver!

Ted
"Rob's throwing everything he's got at Mack! That Bridging Spear should have been it, but Mack is one tough son of a bitch!"

Joey
"Hey! Even I wouldn't stoop to calling someone's mother a bitch! I'd just fuck her and be done with it, you insensitive cur."

Rob's body is tossed to the side as Mack puts all of his strength into getting his shoulder up. Though largely numb, being thrown serves as enough of a shock that it enables the Haligonian to find his feet as a continuation of momentum. Witnessing Mack roll his body back over, he calculates the Tennessean's location; realizing he has to go big or go home, Chapman scoffs bitterly and shakes his head, grimacing as he makes his way towards a corner of the ring and begins to climb with his back to the ring. Speculating a Moonsault, the crowd begins to cheer loudly for the forthcoming display of athleticism... until Rob slips on the middle rope again and falls, but manages to land on his feet. The Nova Scotia shakes his head as if to say "'Not now, don't give out now!" He rests his face against the top of the turnbuckle for a moment, breathing deeply and renewing his focus. Checking over his shoulder, he makes sure that Mack is still prone to a Moonsault before nodding, as if needing to agree with his own plan. Haggardly, he begins to climb the ropes again, pulling himself up onto the bottom rope and pausing for a moment to make sure he's stable. His first attempt to climb to the second rope ends with another slip, but he hangs on and then woefully pulls himself up to that second rope. Determined to make it up top and flatten the obstacle between him and the next round of the tournament. The crowd begins to cheer once again; Chapman mistakes it for anticipation, and never has as chance to see it coming as a rejuvenated Mack has bounded to his feet and taken off into the ropes behind him, ricocheting back at high speed! As Rob begins to pull himself up that final step, The Southern Aviator grasps the top rope next to him and comes swinging around with a Tiger Feint Kick over the top rope, blasting Rob right in the face, knocking him off the corner and into the ring! As Mack lands on both feet in the ring, still holding the top rope, he briefly looks over his shoulder, just long enough to see his opponent in prime position, before once again vaulting up onto the top rope and catapulting himself backwards with a Moonsault of his own! The springboard variation of the move connects flush, and Mack lands perfectly across the chest of his opponent, hooking his leg in a pinning attempt! Ryu drops to count the pin, and Mack nods eagerly along with each count! "One! Two! Thr-" Rob gets his shoulder up off of the mat, breaking the count just before the dreaded three! Mack stares in disbelief, turning his glance to his opponent, to the referee, and then back to his opponent... and then begins to laugh. A nervous, completely woebegone laugh. Running a hand through his sweat-mottled hair, he just shakes his head as he clambers back to his feet. "Damn, son. You still got fight in you." an exasperated Mack remarks, shaking his head again. That was all he could think of to say. Rob didn't appear to be moving after the kick out, so now was probably his only opportunity to wrap this up. Turning his head to look up to the lights, he glances to the corner and nods in understanding of what comes next.

The crowd knows it too, and anticipation begins to bubble up quickly for Mack taking to the skies as he does so well!

Ted
"Mack's going up! What's he gonna do to Chapman from there?"

Joey
"I still can't believe you called Mack's mother a bitch. I mean, she probably is, but... I THOUGHT I KNEW YOU, THEODORE!"

Turning around, Mack steps out onto the apron. He looked just as battle-weary as his opponent, covered in sweat, red marks from being stricken, and eventual bruises. With a determined stare, he keeps his eyes solely on his opponent as he begins to climb onto the top turnbuckle. Watching Rob try to roll away, managing a single roll before collapsing fully in exhaustion, laying spread eagle on the canvas. The Southern Aviator couldn't ask for a better target. Steadying himself, Mack lets out a mighty roar before leaping from up high as only he can, throwing himself into a forward back flip, twisting his body in a breathtaking display of acrobatics as he readies his elbow to bring down atop his opponent's raggedly beating heart... and then Rob sits up and throws himself to the side, evading the strike by a hair as Mack's body, and especially his extended arm collide with the ring in a sickening CRASH! How Mack isn't rendered instantly unconscious from the impact is a marvel, but the effects of it are certainly seen instantly, as he screams in pain, cradling his elbow! The referee bolts to check on the Tennessean and make sure his arm isn't broken!

An audible wave of excitement is followed by several horrified gasps as Mack's arm slams off of the canvas with more than enough force to shatter the bones of an ordinary human's elbow. Murmurs begin to circulate as Ryu checks on the former XWA Triple Crown holder, but are quickly replaced with intense jeers at what comes next...

Ted
"BAH GAWD! Mack's arm may have just snapped![/i]"

Joey
"What the fuck was that even? How was that supposed to end in any way other than Mack hurting himself, with that many fucking rotations? What a fucking idiot!"

Ted
"Mack just put it all on the line with that high risk maneuver, and he crashed and burned- wait, what is Rob doing?!"

Ryu Sanu is suddenly shoved aside by an infuriated Chapman, who bears down on Mack with a look of pure, grim determination, lifting the southerner by his wounded arm. Pulling Mack to his knees, Rob proceeds to wrap Mack's arm around his neck in a cutthroat clutch, yanking back on the arm to strangle Mack with the aching appendage!  As the Tennessean emits a wounded cry, Rob pulls him up to his feet, using the back of his tights for leverage before wrapping an arm around his waist. With frightening quickness, Rob powers the Nashville native up, but is unable to hold him as his leg buckles, so he turns and spikes Mack straight on his head with a sickening Cut-Throat the Inverted Northern Lights Bomb! The modified Caesura connects! Mack's entire body weight is driven into his head, neck, and arm, as his body is left folded on top of itself in a mangled ball of human wreckage! Knowing that his knee has that the last of it, Rob weakly shoves Mack until he topples and comes uncurled. Throwing himself across his opponent's chest, he turns his glazed eyes to Sanu in time to see the official count the pin fall. "One! Two! Three!" The camera briefly shifts to Laura Watts for the official announcement.

Laura Watts
"Ladies and gentlemen! Your winner, by pin fall... The Silent Protagonist, Rob Chapman!"

The arena is absolutely flooded with boos as Chapman is declared the winner. Especially after the vindictive way [b]The Silent Protagonist
went about it.

Ted
"That's it! A cut-throat Caesura seals the deal for Mack, and Rob Chapman moves forward in the tournament... but at what cost? I sincerely hope that Mack is alright after that missed elbow, let alone that brutal Caesura from Chapman."

Joey
"That was quite possibly the best fucking thing Rob's done since February... fuck, did I just enjoy something that Canadian motherfucker did? I DON'T LIKE THIS FEELING, THEODORE! I DON'T LIKE IT."

The camera cuts back to the ring, where both Chapman and Mack have yet to move. Slowly, Ryu is able to begrudgingly help Rob to his feet, where he raises the Canadian's arm in victory. Rob then saunters over to the ropes, which he uses to keep himself standing why the referee checks on Mack's condition.

Ted
"We've got to go to a commercial break, folks, but don't worry, we've got plenty of action coming up next as Vendetta continues!"

The scene fades to a commercial break with Rob having exited the ring, doing his usual backwards walk up the ramp with his fist raised... though much more slowly than usual after that grueling bout. Accompanied by a much less favourable reaction than usual from the capacity crowd.

[S 19|MATCH] Mack vs. Rob Chapman | IC Title Tournament Empty
PostSubject: Re: [S 19|MATCH] Mack vs. Rob Chapman | IC Title Tournament   [S 19|MATCH] Mack vs. Rob Chapman | IC Title Tournament EmptySun Jul 06, 2014 8:05 pm

[ Tonight a match between two wrestling legends is going to take place. Both have made a name for themselves, but not in the same company. One is one of the greatest in XWA while the other has been the top performer in 2WWF for years. Robert Chapman on one hand is just coming off a hard fought battle between him and DC Hennig. A big loss to one of the great in XWA, but now Chapman has a chance to redeem himself. He steps inside the ring with another XWA legend; Mack. The last time we saw Mack was months ago when he defeated Razor Xtreme in a one on one contest. He’s decided to make his long awaited return, choosing to participate in this Intercontinental tournament. A tournament that won’t be a walk in the park when you look at some of the big names involved. At the time it’s not clear what made Mack want to make a comeback to XWA. Many believed that he was done for good after his match with Razor Xtreme. There was very little else for him to accomplish. There must have been something that drew him back to the wrestling business. Regardless of what that reason is. He is here tonight and ready to not only move forward in this XWA Intercontinental tournament but also get some revenge. Though many may not remember, Rob Chapman against Mack has already happened once in 2WWF. A match where Mack just came up short. He was defeated by the 2WWF veteran and he refuses to let that happen again. Rob Chapman is just coming off a huge match with DC Hennig; you have to wonder if he’s one hundred percent for this match. Some battles aren’t as easy to recover from as other, it’s especially not easy to recover from when you face a man like DC Hennig. On the other hand you have XWA Hall of Famer Mack. Nobody has a clue what they are going to get out of him. Is he going to be showing ring rust? Being gone for so many months, some guys have a tendency to lose it after being gone for so many months. But sometimes it’s a completely different story, you have your moments when a guy comes back after being out of action for so long and he ends up being better than he was before. Mack will rusty or he will be fresh. Either way, these fans still expect a fast paced high flying match between this two legends. Both these men sit in their respective corners, each one with something to prove, Mack hasn’t said much since coming back, but will he break some silence during or after this match. Will he at least give us a hint as to why he decided to return? Or is it simply that he missed the holding XWA gold. Will Chapman be able to capture XWA gold? Or will he suffer the same fate he did against Hennig ]

The bell is rung three times as everyone in the arena focus on two veteran superstars in the center of the ring. Neither has yet to make a move, these guys don’t have much history together so they don’t want to make an early mistake. Wanting to break the ice, Rob quickly darts at his foe. He slides down trying to attack his speedy opponent’s legs, but Mack is quick to run out of harm’s way.  He ends up standing behind the former 2WWF world champion with a smirk on his face, waiting patiently for him to give it another go. Chapman charges at him again, this time he tries grabbing Mack by the shoulders but the returning superstar dashes out of harm’s way once more. As Rob swings past him, The Aviator grabs a handful of his long brown hair and shoves him into the nearest turnbuckle! Chapman slams the top turnbuckle chest first but is quickly turned around to face his foe. Not wasting any time, Mack starts driving rights and lefts to the stomach of his opponent. The fans get behind the adrenaline rushed hall of famer, cheering louder with every shot. Mack his ten straight shots until his arms begin to feel weakened. He takes a few steps back before darting back at his challenger, the Triple Crown champion tries knocking Rob down with a clothesline. The Straight Edge Outlaw looks up in time to think of a counter attack. He takes a few steps forward before reaching down for the feet of his adversary, Robs lifts Mack over his head, making him land back first on the top turnbuckle after connecting with a back body drop! The Nashville Native pummels to the ground, he grasps at his lower back from the shot he took, remembering the pain that comes inflicted on you when you step inside the ring. Rob Chapman realizes he can now take advantage of this match; he walks over to Mack; lifting him up to a vertical base before tossing him to the nearest ropes. Lionheart kneels over, expecting Mack to be shot back in his direction but the veteran superstar wraps his arms around the ropes as he approached them. Spoiling Rob’s plans, the four time XWA champion comes to a halt before dropping to the canvas and rolling out of the ring. Rob Chapman becomes frustrated by this as one of the greatest superstars in XWA history appears to be walking away from the fight. Mack stands on the outside gasping for air while trying to stretch out his back, clearly showing some early ring rust after being gone for so many months.

Miles: Go back to the gym and hit those weights you fat shit!

Cedar: Well Mack looked like he had the upper hand until he took that first hit.

Miles: What did he think they were gonna dance around in the ring? Get back in there pussy!

Eager to get this match back on track, Rob dashes towards the ropes, he dives through the middle and top; crashing into his opponent on the outside with a suicide dive! This delivers cheers from the crowd who now get to see the action commence. Rob quickly gets to his footed base while Mack tries rolling on all fours. The Canadian born superstar helps his foe back to his feet, he tries tossing him back in the ring but the hall of famer is able to slip under Rob’s armpit. The Nashville Native runs forward with both hands out in front of him, shoving Mathew Chapman head first to the steel pole! A huge thud is heard throughout the arena! Rob is on his back seeing stars, a smile forms on the face of his opponent who has just escaped the danger zone once again. Mack lifts Rob back to his feet before tossing him back inside the ring; the high flying superstar follows right behind him. The 2WWF veteran still struggles to get to his feet so Mack continues to take advantage. He kneels down next to Chapman before continuously striking him on the head with his right hand. Mack is doing even more damage to the head, Rob tries to block the shots but the closed fist comes at too fast a pace. Finally the referee is forced to step in the middle and break Mack away from his adversary. The Southern superstar becomes frustrated by this but knows there is no use in arguing. Instead he goes back on the attack. Mack picks Mathew up to his feet before tossing him to the nearest turnbuckle. He sprints at his opponent trying to connect with a clothesline, but Rob gets his boot up, causing Mack to ram right into it. The hall of famer’s entire face is turned before he falls to his knees. Chapman knows he doesn’t have much time to waste. He hopes on the top turnbuckle and begins to balance himself while Mack slowly turns around. Once both men are facing each other, Rob hops off the top turnbuckle, looking to take his challenger out with a diving cross body. The Nashville Native trying to react the fastest way he can, pulls the closest thing next to him for shelter; the referee. The pulls the referee in front before falling backwards in order to get out of harm’s way. Chapman sees this happen and he tries landing on his feet in order to not take Jack Hammer out. Super Xero is able to stick the landing but still drove some of his shoulder to the referee which was enough to take him down. Mack jumps to his feet before diving at Rob Chapmen. He once again starts delivering rights and lefts to the Canadian superstar. However, this time Rob starts fighting back. He’s able to block some shots and counter attack by delivering closed right fist of his own. The match eventually turns into a physical fist fight with nobody to break it up. Finally Chapman starts getting the upper hand! Rights and lefts being fired in a furry at the former XWA champion! Mack is left groggy on the ropes. His challenger takes a few steps back before running back at the XWA Hall of Famer. He leaps to the air, trying to bring one big closed right fist to finish the job, but Mack escapes once more. He ducks under the hit, and then pulls the top rope down forcing Rob to go over the top!

Cedar: This match is turning into quite the first fight here. Not quite what many were expecting out of these two superstars.

Miles: Agreed. Why aren’t they jumping around and doing all of that flying shit?

Cedar: Well after being gone so many months, and after a big match with Hennig, it seems both of these guys aren’t at their best.

Chapman falls over the top rope but he’s still not out. He was able to grab a hold of the ropes before he could go crashing to the ground. Rob pulls himself back on the apron; Mack sees this and attempts to go on his offence once more. His opponent however, wants to do the same. The Southern Aviator notices Jack Hammer is on all fours, he looks to take advantage. Mack darts in the direction of his adversary, he hops on the back of the referee before quickly leaping off. Meanwhile, Rob hops on the top rope, perhaps looking for his usual Springboard Dropkick but it may not be used to its success this time around. As Rob hops on the top rope, Mack is already flying in his direction; everything is moving so quickly that Super Xero is unable to do anything. With his shoulder ramming his gut, Mack spears Chapman off the top rope; both men go crashing to the outside! The crowd goes into a frenzy while both men are down and out; Rob clearly in more pain then his opponent but The Tennessee Native also took a hard hit on the fall. Jack Hammer is still pulling himself up to his feet, giving each man some extra seconds to recover. Though in a lot of pain, Mack is the first of the two who begins getting back to a vertical base; meanwhile, inside the ring, Hammer sees both men down so he begins to count them out. The referee throws his hands in the air before shouting one! He then follows this up shouting two! Jack continues to work his way up the numbers while both competitors crawl to their feet. At the count of five, the Southern superstar is able to make it on both feet. He reaches down for Rob Chapman, pulling him up off the ground. Mack drags his foe near the steal steps. Fans anxiously watch as Mack looks to use the steal as a weapon. The Aviator stands behind Chapman before grabbing two handfuls of his hair. He proceeds by throwing Rob down in the direction of the steel steps, forcing the back of his head to slam on the edge! The fans in the arena can feel the pain the 2WWF veteran is feeling. This is the second hard shot to the head he has taken in this match; some may worry that this could lead to a concussion.

Cedar: Gawd what a thud! That would put my lights out for sure.

Miles: Anything can put you out… That’s why you’re sitting here next to me.

Cedar: I’m just saying, you have to imagine the pain this man is in, no man should take head shots like that.

After doing even more damage to the head, Mack waste little time picking Chapman up and tossing him back in the ring. He quickly follows, just making it on time as the referees count was a split second away from hitting ten. Rather than going for a pin attempt to end this match, the highflying superstar looks to inflict even more damage on his already downed foe. He kneels down in front of his foe and once again grabs two handfuls of his hair before slamming it to the canvas. Just like he did on the outside Mack is continuing with the same assault. Too many shots to the head can’t be good for his adversary. The XWA veteran knows this well, he’s taking clear advantage of this. Robs head is slammed to the canvas four times before Mack stops. The Nashville Native picks Chapman to a footed base. Not wanting to hold Robs dead weight, Mack leans his opponent against the ropes to make things easier on him. The former XWA champion continues his assault, delivering slow but painful right hands. Every hit that he connects with makes Rob get closer to the ground. He’s barely on his feet; his opponent is having fun at this point, making his opponent suffer. One, two, three, four straight shots to the head! Just as Rob was prepared to collapse, Mack reaches down near the groin area; he lifts Chapman off his feet before turning to the center of the ring and slamming him to the canvas with a well-executed scoop slam. While Rob lies on the ground Mack looks out at the crowd before extending his arms away from his body, looking for some cheers but he is surprised to find that some people boo the returning superstar. Perhaps his game plan didn’t go over well with the fans this time around, but Mack is only focused on one thing and that’s winning. Rob Chapman has already defeated Mack when the two battled in 2WWF; he refuses to let it happen again. Not quite ready to finish off the match, The Aviator darts towards the ropes, he hops on the second one before back-flipping off. Mack attempting to connect with a Lionsault but out of pure instinct, Rob Chapman is able to get his knees up! The Nashville Native gets the air knocked out of him as the hard bone gets crushed into his stomach. Mack drops to one knee while he tries to catch his breath. Rob rolls to his knees but he is still having a hard time finding all his surroundings after all the hard head hits he’s taken in this match. Knowing he has to get back on offense if he wants to maintain control, Mack fights through the pain. He gets to his feet, quickly extends his right leg out, trying to kick Super Xero in the chest but Rob catches his leg! Mack is left hopping on one leg, trying to break free, he jumps off his one leg to try kicking Chapman with his leg but the 2WWF veteran makes him miss once more. Mack falls on his belly, now its Robs turn to take advantage of this match. Still holding onto the Southern superstar’s right leg, he sits on his adversary’s back before reaching out for the left leg. Pulling both back in his direction in order to lock in a Boston Crab!

Miles: A submission? Why isn’t he diving off the top rope and shit?

Cedar: He has Mack in the center of the ring, this could be it for the XWA Hall of Famer!

Miles: This early in the match? Fight for the ropes you lazy shit!

The tables are finally turning in this match! After having control for such time, Rob is finally taking things in the direction he wants. Mack quickly starts clawing towards the nearest turnbuckle while fans in the arena are actually cheering Rob. This is Mack’s first night back in XWA, the last thing he wants to do is lose his return match. He continues fighting, getting closer and closer to those ropes. However, the closer he gets, the more pressure that is applies to the submission move. Mack isn’t one to tap out easily and he refuses to do it here. He’s inches away from the ropes. Rob continues to yank his opponent’s leg back trying to apply as much pressure as he can. The referee stands in front of Mack asking him if he wants to give up but no answer is given. The former XWA champion has his eyes set on that bottom rope. Just as he begins reaching out for it, Chapman drags Mack back to the center of the ring before once again applying all the pressure! Mack is right back where he started, he knows he doesn’t have much time left; he can’t endure all the pain much longer. He looks out at the ropes once more. He extends his hand out screaming but realizes it won’t do him much good. There isn’t enough time for him to try going for the ropes once more. Instead Mack begins twisting and turning his body until he is finally able to roll on his back. Rob tries turning his foe back over but the XWA hall of famer refuses, he thinks of any way to get out of this mess. Mack sits up as though he was doing a sit up, reaching out to grab the right arm of his adversary; he pulls the arm in his direction thus leaving his leg free. The Southern Aviator uses his free leg to place it on the throat of his opposition; he follows his by wrapping both hands around the head of Rob Chapman, chocking him out with a Triangle Choke! Mack was able to counter Robs Boston Crab into his own submission hold. Now it’s Chapman who is in trouble of losing this match! The Silent Protagonist is kicking around, waving his free hand. Doing whatever comes to mind to try and break free. The fans are on the edge of their seats, wondering if for the second straight match Rob will give out to a submission move. Chapman tries punching his challenger but it’s as though Mack doesn’t feel the blows, the only thing on his mind is keeping the pressure applied. Rob tries finding the ropes but it’s hard for him to see due to The Nashville Native pressing his head down. Eventually Chapman begins to fade away. His visions begin to blur, all the noise in the arena can no longer be heard, the man is once again being left out cold in the center of the ring. The referee walks over to Rob, lifting his hand in the air before releasing it. Chapman’s hand falls straight to the canvas as the referee yells one! Jack Hammer lifts Robs hand up for a second time, the Rob Chapman fans now become worried as the referee gets the same result; two! He lifts Robs hand up for a third time, he lets it fall once more but this time everyone erupts in a chorus of cheers as Rob holds his hand up!

Cedar: Robert says not this time! No repeat of what happened at the PPV, he’s still fighting!

Miles: I thought this thing was over already, I want to see the Hennig already dammit.

Cedar: Those submissions must have taken a lot from these two men, you have to wonder how it’ll play out in the rest of this match.

Not this time says Rob Chapman! He refuses to allow himself to lose the same way back to back. He holds his hand up strong, fighting through all the pain he is in, doing everything he can to stay in this match. Rob begins kneeing his way towards the ropes, putting all the strength he has left in order to reach them. The crowd is behind him, fans in the first row stomp their hands on the barricade, trying to draw Chapman closer and closer to their direction until finally! The former 2WWF world champion reaches the ropes, forcing Mack to release the hold! Both men lay on the canvas for a few seconds, each man gave it their all with those submission moves but in the end, neither came out on top. The match commences and the crowd starts getting into it. They begin shouting and stomping their feet, trying to wake these two individuals up so the match may proceed. Both veterans use the aid of the ring ropes to get to their footed base. Mack is the first to reach it but Chapman follows not shortly after. The Nashville Native takes a closed right swing at his foe but the Canadian superstar ducks! Rob stands behind his opposition, not wasting any time he locks Mack in a Full Nelson. Everyone expects another submission hold attempt but they were mistaken. Chapman lifts the Aviator off his feet before tossing him backwards, connecting with one of his signature moves known as The Last Flight! Otherwise known as a release dragon suplex! Mack falls face first to the canvas! He quickly tries aiding to his wounds but Rob doesn’t allow him too much time to recover. Lionheart lifts Mack to a footed base but only for a brief moment as he whips him towards the nearest turnbuckle. Rob then darts at his opposition; he drives both boots to the face of the XWA Triple Crown, hitting a dropkick that leaves Mack in a seated position. Rob Chapmen takes four steps backwards before dashing back at his foe, this time the XWA veteran is not having any of it as once again he rolls out of the ring, just like at the start of the match. This time his escape draws boos from some of the people in the crowd. Rob is just as irritated as some of these fans; he leaps on the top turnbuckle before he begins to measure his challenger on the outside. Right when Mack turns to face him, Chapman jumps off the top turnbuckle! Rob looking to connect with a diving cross body all the way to the outside, but he’s met with nothing but a closed right fist! Mack counters the cross body, hitting The Straight Edge Outlaw with an uppercut while he was in mid-air!

Cedar: What a counter attack from Mack!

Miles: Looks like he hurt himself in the process. This is why you stick to monkey flips Mack.

Cedar: Mack reacted out of pure instinct. You have to admire that quick thinking of this man.

A desperation move by Mack, it appears he has the advantage for not, but all that weight crashing down on him appears to have sprained his wrist! Chapman took a hard hit to the jaw, but it looks like the XWA veteran is the one who sustained the longer lasting injury. Mack rolls inside the ring; he holds his right wrist while he walks towards referee Jack Hammer who starts taking a look at the wrist to see if there are any serious injuries. Meanwhile, Rob Chapman gets up on the outside, he look inside the ring, finding the opening he needs. Rob climbs up the turnbuckle before talking his opponent who stands on the other side of the ring. Mack having his back turned to his opposition doesn’t have much of a clue what is going on. Chapman runs straight across on the top rope. Fans become amazed at the balance he is able to keep while going at a fast pace. Once Mack turns around its already too late for him to do anything! Rob drops both his boots to the face of his adversary, connecting with the Longshot! A desperation move by Chapman to try putting an end to this match, he has no intention of losing back to back matches against XWA legends. Mack is out on the canvas, leaving Rob with an opportunity to win this thing. Wanting to make sure his foe will stay down for good, Chapman lift Mack to a footed base before getting him in position for a Powerbomb. The Canadian superstar lifts Mack off the ground, bringing him up on his shoulders before quickly slamming him to the canvas with a move he likes to call Rage! Known by many as a snap powerbomb. The move causes The Aviators head to whiplash on the floor. The move is done to perfection; it may have been just what Rob needed to put this match away. He goes for the cover as Jack Hammer goes for the pin. Jack counts one, he drops the hand a second time, but a shoulder up just as he was about to hit three! Rob can’t believe it! He was a half second away from winning this match but somehow his opponent managed to kick out.

Cedar: Mack managed to kick out! This match is still going!

Miles: Rob quit playing with the guy and finish the thing dammit.

Cedar: Well Mack clearly doesn’t want to lose this return match, he just showed use he has a lot of fight left.

Rob now knows that a one of his deadly finishing moves will be required to put this match away. He gets back to a vertical base before he begins stalking Mack. He waits patiently for his speedy opponent to get up. Once the highflyer is on his feet, Rob reaches down near the groin area, looking for his finisher Caesura! Mack however, manages to slip out from under the arm of Chapman, using his quick ability to his advantage. Rob tries reaching out for him once more, but this time he is met with a kick to the side of the head! This kick surprisingly does more damage than everyone in the arena expected it too as Chapman is knocked to the canvas. It seems that all the head shots in this match have done the trick. With every shot that follows it just makes it worse on the former 2WWF world champion. Rob Mathew starts to get back to his feet, it’s as though for a quick second that shot knocked him out. Chapman is trying to get his head straight, Mack realizes he isn’t well and can do nothing but take advantage of the situation. The Southern superstar reaches out for Rob but this times it’s Lionheart who shoves his opposition away. He quickly kicks Mack in the mid-section before tossing him towards the ropes; as his foe gets whipped back in his direction. Rob spins in the air while extending out his right leg; hitting his opponent in the face with a roundhouse kick! Now wanting to keep a good pace, Rob runs to the nearest turnbuckle; he hops on the top turnbuckle then takes a quick look back at his foe. It looks as if Rob is trying to connect with a Moonsault but that second he took to glance back may have cost him. Mack darts in the direction of his adversary; meeting him on the top turnbuckle! Both of these competitors are now in a dangerous position, Rob tries elbowing the XWA Hall of Famer off but Mack has a good grasp on the top rope. The Nashville Native begins hitting head-butts to the head of his opposition. After three shots to the head, Rob begins to see double vision. Knowing he’s in danger, Rob turns his body and pushes Mack with all his strength! Mack is tossed to the center of the ring but is able to land on both feet. The former XWA champion runs back at his adversary’s direction but this works to his foes advantage. Rob leaps off the top turnbuckle; he wraps his arm around Mack’s neck before swinging him around; slamming him to the canvas with the Ebony Spiral! Both competitors stay grounded for a few seconds. The tornado DDT took more out of Rob than he thought it would, but if he doesn’t do something to end this match soon, when will he? Rob fights through all the pain he is in, trying to get back to his footed base. He knows Mack is down, but chances are he hasn’t done enough to put him away for good. Chapman tries to lift Mack to his feet but the former XWA champion is just brought to his knees before he head-butts Chapman to the mid-section! Rob kneels over a bit and it met with a huge slap across the face from the XWA veteran!

Miles: Ohhhhhhhhhh shit just got interesting!

Cedar: Mack is showing no respect to his opponent in this match!

Miles: Well is Rob going to stand there taking that shit or is he going to do something!

Mack isn’t showing any respect to his opponent and these fans don’t like it. After all, Rob did put on an amazing match against DC Hennig; fans believe some respect should be shown by the XWA hall of famer. Rob is stunned by the slap across the face. He is left with his face turned; his body is filling up with rage. Mack may have made the biggest mistake of the night with that slap. Rob turns around and drops a furry of rights and lefts on his opponent. The crowd erupts while Chapman beats his opposition to the ground. Mack tries blocking every blow but Rob is coming with some heat. The 2WWF veteran has to be pulled off by the referee but this only buys Mack an extra second before Rob tries going back on the attack. The Aviator is crawling away from Chapman who just exploded on the XWA hall of famer. Rob grabs Mack before throwing him to the nearest turnbuckle. He delivers rights and lefts to the stomach of the speedy superstar, then to the head, then the neck, Rob hitting any body part he finds open! Mack has nothing in him to try and block these moves! Chapman takes a few steps back before he darts back at his opposition, Lionheart attempts a big boot but finally Mack is able to duck! For a few seconds Robs boot gets stuck on the top turnbuckle. This allows The Aviator to make his comeback. Mack runs at the ropes, leaps on top one before bouncing off; he turns his body sideways looking for a springboard cross body but Chapman catches him in mid-air! Rob caught the veteran superstar, he runs to the nearest turnbuckle; driving the upper-back to the turnbuckle! Super Xero allows his foe to collapse on the floor, Mack stays down for a few seconds but he still has some fight left in him. The Nashville Native gets up trying to swing; he sends his closed right hand in the direction of his opposition but Rob ducks under it! Chapman then quickly wraps his arm around the chest of the Southern superstar, lifting him off the ground before slamming him to the turf with his signature move Acid Reign! Just like earlier, Mack’s head is whip lashed on the canvas. Rob could do it this time, he drops to his knees looking for the cover, the referee counts one, two! But once again! Mack kicks out at the last second! Rob can’t believe it! The XWA veteran is still in this match! The anger Mack unleashed with the slap starts growing even more. Chapman is becoming frustrated, he has to stay focused but knowing his opponent is trying to disrespect him and he’s unable to finish the match off sickens him! Chapman reaches down to grab his opponent, he gets Mack to his knees and cannot believe what he is met with; another slap!

Miles: Now he’s asking for it.

Cedar: Its as if Mack wants all that anger to come out of Robert, no one likes being disrespected.

Miles: Shut up Ted, this is the part where Mack gets his ass kicked.

Unlike DC Hennig, Mack is showing no respect to the veteran superstar. Rob has made a name for himself in many wrestling companies; he’s even been able to defeat Mack in 2WWF. But this is XWA, Mack believes this is his grounds and Rob is nothing here. Mack shoves Lionheart away; he gets to a footed base with his fists out in front of him. Rob turns to see the former XWA champion asking Rob to bring his all. Robert tackles his adversary down, he punches, elbows, knees, everything! Mack feels as though he’s become a punching back to Chapman! The referee steps in; he pulls Rob away from the XWA Hall of Famer once more. Letting him know he’ll have to disqualify him if he continues his assault. Meanwhile, Mack is trying to crawl away. He reaches the turnbuckle and tries pulling himself up with its help. Rob seems to have forgotten all about what’s at stake in this match. Forget the Intercontinental championship for just a second, he wants Mack. Robert dashes in his direction with everything he has! The Artistic Anomaly goes for a turnbuckle spear but Mack drops to the canvas, forcing Robs head to meet the steel pole! Mack just used his opponents rage to his advantage! The Southern Aviator pulls Robert out of the turnbuckle, he pulls him backwards before leaning his right arm over the neck; Mack starts pressing down as he locks in a Dragon Sleeper! Rob has taken so many shots to the head that could have left him out cold in this match. That last shot to the head turned off his lights, but Mack wants to make sure he stays down. The struggle lasts for only a few seconds. Any many takes this many shots to the head would have had a concussion by now. Robert lays lifeless in the arms of Mack. Déjà vu to what happened in the match against DC Hennig. The referee lifts Robs hand up before releasing it. Robs hand falls straight to the ground and the referee shouts one! Fans in the arena become worried as they watch the referee do this a second time. Once again, Chapman’s hand hits the canvas; two! Robert has one last chance to stay in this match. He’s in a similar position he was in at the PPV to an XWA legend. Will he prevail this time? The crowd stays silent as they anxiously watch the referee lift Robs hand for the third and last time. Rob is showing no signs of life, but will he throw everyone into a frenzy like he did earlier in the match? Will Robert show he still has some fight left in him! Jack Hammer lets the hand go for the third time; there is no miracle. Rob Chapman’s hand falls straight to the mat which signals the end of this contest. The referee starts telling Mack to release his submission hold as the bell is rung three times.

Cedar: I don’t believe it! It’s over! Mack finished it!

Miles: Rob needs to stop falling asleep in his matches.

Cedar: Mack finished this match in similar style to DC Hennig. Did he plan it all along, what’s he trying to say?

“Born to Lose” by The Devil Wears Prada starts playing throughout the arena. Many fans rise to cheer the returning superstar while some in the arena are booing him. Whatever reaction they give him, Mack just seems to be happy that he won the match. A great battle put on between these two contestants but in the end, Rob Chapman will take back to back similar losses to XWA legends. Mack now has some breathing room in the Intercontinental championship tournament while Rob Chapman has to fight his way back up the rankings. A real hard hitting fight that was put on here, many have to wonder if Mack wasn’t trying to send a message to someone in his return match. Whether he was or wasn’t, he is walking out of this match the winner. Mack stands on a footed base, looking down at Robert Chapman who is being added too. Doctors and trainers want to make sure Rob hasn’t suffered a serious head injury. The XWA Hall of Famer glares down at the 2WWF veteran, he considers helping him back to a footed base but in the end he walks away. Mack exits the ring and starts walking up the steel ramp, he looks out at the crowd and shouts at them “Anything he can do, I can do it better!” fans not sure who it is Mack is talking about, it appears that Mack has come back to XWA with a target in mind, but who is it? It seems there may be a specific someone that the Nashville Native wants to face in this tournament. Whoever it may be, he is the only one who knows. Inside the ring Robert Chapman is helped up to his feet, still a little dazed, Rob is disappointed that he let his anger cost him the match. He had things in control until he fell for Mack’s tricks. He wants Robert to lose control so he can wait patiently for him to make a crucial mistake. Despite the loss Rob still receives some cheers from the crowd. He doesn’t give them much in return; he looks too disappointed at himself. He allowed himself to fade away two matches in a row. In the end, this match could cost him the sweet pleasure of holding an XWA championship. Rob looks up at Mack who also doesn’t look very satisfied about this win. What does Mack have to be angry about, the man has accomplished all that anyone can in XWA, but it seems that he’s come back because there is something missing. One thing is clear, the score between this two has now been evened out. Rob has won one of their bouts in 2WWF and now Mack has won the other today. Perhaps a rematch may take place in the future to settle the score between these two wrestling legends. Mack exits the arena and the cameras fade to black as XWA goes to its commercial break, just minutes away from its main event.
