THR reports that Paramount announced their upcoming 2016 release slate at this year's CineEurope, including Transformers 5, in Spain on Wednesday (June 18). Michael Bay's latest installment of the franchise, Transformers: Age of Extinction, is due out next week.
Paramount Pictures International svp, EMEA Edward Ryan went over the rollout plans for the studio for the next two years for attendees. Paramount's 2016 slate includes: Paranormal Activity 5, Beverly Hills Cop IV, G.I. Joe 3, Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2, Star Trek 3, and a remake of Ben-Hur.
Roberto Orci is currently attached to direct Star Trek 3. Timur Bekmambetov is set to do Ben-Hur. It's still uncertain if Bay will return for Transformers 5.
Previously, Paranormal Activity 5 was originally set for an October 2014 release, but now it appears the film has been pushed back to 2016.
