(Rage) Greg Samuel vs. Rellim Strife Empty
PostSubject: Re: (Rage) Greg Samuel vs. Rellim Strife   (Rage) Greg Samuel vs. Rellim Strife EmptyWed Jun 25, 2014 3:30 pm

The camera cuts from Rellim’s promo to ringside with Ted Cedar and Joey Miles.

TED CEDAR: “And there you have it, Rellim Strife is back! And now he has a match with the recently returned Greg Samuel!”

JOEY MILES: “Any one that’ll kick the shit out of that Samuel kid!”

TED CEDAR: “Well as we know, Samuel and Rellim have split matches so far and this is the rubber match!”

JOEY MILES: “Sounds like it’s time for me to get to that last gym in Pokemon!”

The bell rings three times and the camera turns to Laura Watts in the ring. The Tennessee crowd is buzzing, ready for a Penultimate match on Rage.

LAURA WATTS: “The following is a singles match scheduled for one-fall!”

“Storm in a Teacup” by the Red Hot Chili Peppers starts to play and the lights dim. After the intense intro, the song picks up and Samuel hits the stage. Greg is hyping the crowd as he wears a sleeveless robe with the hood down that reads “Mr. Match of the Night” with a black baggy pair of shorts that extend to his kneepads.

LAURA WATTS: “Introducing first, from Kingfield, Maine; weighing in at two-hundred and twenty pounds, he is “THE MAINE ATTRACTION” GREG SAMUELLLL!”

Samuel struts down the ramp with pride, as the fans cheer on their favorite in the match. Out of nowhere, Rellim comes charging down the ramp and slams Samuel in the back of the neck with a double axe handle. “The Maine Attraction” drops to the floor as his theme song abruptly. Rellim smirks very cockily and glares out at the crowd. As Samuel gets back up, Rellim meets him and pulls him back to a vertical base before pushing him into the barrier that separates them from the crowd. He then begins to throw punches into the midsection of Samuel. Greg is clearly not prepared for this and each blow is taking more of his breath from him. After a flurry of punches, Rellim takes Samuel by the back of the head. “The Unmistakable” guides Samuel towards the ring before turning him toward the corner. Rellim then builds a little speed before slamming Samuel face first into the turnbuckle, while retaining hold on the back of his head. Rellim then slides Samuel into the ring and hops up onto the ring apron and turns out to the crowd. As if he is basking in the boos, Rellim closes his eyes and holds his head high, allowing the Tennessee crowd to shower him in their negative feedback. Rellim then slides into the ring and backs into his own corner as Samuel slowly gets to his feet. Referee Ryu Sanu checks on Greg, making sure he is not injured in any way.

TED CEDAR: “By god that was low! Samuel was making his entrance down to the ring and he got brutally attacked!”

Rellim leans in the corner while Samuel makes his way back to his feet. After making it back to a vertical base, Samuel peels of his vest and throws it down to ringside. He then does the same with his shorts, revealing his blue, white and black trunks. Sanu checks with both men to assure that they are ready to start the match. Rellim smirks, eager to continue his beat down on Samuel. The bell rings three times and Rellim charges at a dazed Samuel, looking to continue his reign. Out of nowhere, Greg dodges the attack, leaving Rellim to slam into the turnbuckles. The crowd cheers, as they did not suspect Samuel to dodge the incoming attack. Rellim staggers around after slamming into the corner, only to be greeted by a side headlock from “Mr. Match of the Night.” Samuel is synching in the headlock, working on wearing down the returning superstar. Rellim grabs the left wrist of Samuel and counters the headlock with a wristlock. Rellim wrenches on the wrist. Greg slaps on his wrist, trying to get some of the pressure off the wrist. Greg finally musters up the strength to counter into a Hammerlock, pulling Rellim’s arm behind his back. “The Secondcoming” cringes in pain as his arm is being wrenched upon. After doing what he believes is a sufficient amount of damage, “The Maine Attraction” lifts his adversary up and then drops him down onto his knee, targeting the spine with an Atomic Drop. Rellim hops around as his spine is feeling compressed after the time tested move. The former Intercontinental Champion spins his adversary around and then takes him by the arm before irish whipping him across the ring. Rellim comes racing off the ropes and Samuel leapfrogs his adversary. The returning combatant bounces back into the ropes and then charges at Samuel again, this time sticking an arm out looking for a lariat. Greg ducks the lariat, sending Rellim into the ropes once more. As “The Unmistakable” comes charging back, Greg meets him with a lariat of his own. For the first time in this match, Rellim is down and the crowd is extremely excited. Rellim hustles back to his feet, clutching his neck. The 225-pound wrestler is met at his feet by an extremely impressive vertical leap by Samuel, which is followed up on by a picture perfect dropkick. “The Son of God” is brought back down to his back, this time kicking around and clutching his face after being introduced to Samuel’s size 12 boots. Refusing to give up that easy, Rellim works his way back to a vertical base again. This time, “Mr. Match of the Night” leaps up again, this time using Rellim’s shoulders to get enough leverage to land up on his shoulders in a sitting position. Greg quickly whips himself backwards, throwing his adversary forward and slamming him flat on the mat with a Frankensteiner that he transitions into a pin. Sanu drops down to get the count, but only gets one and a half before Rellim gets his shoulder up.

TED CEDAR: “FRANKENSTEINER! These two men have won a match of the month back in October of 2010, and here they go again! Right from the start these two are showing the world why they shouldn’t be slept on.”

JOEY MILES: “October 2010 was a long fricking time ago…”

Samuel grabs Rellim by the back of the head and aids him back to a vertical base as he gets back to his feet himself. Once both men are standing, the former Number 1 Contender to the World Heavyweight Championship throws a punch to the head of Rellim. Samuel again irish whips “The Unmistakable” into the ropes, but this time follows him. Rellim bounces off the ropes and is soon followed by Greg. Before Samuel’s plan can come to fruition, he is met with a back boot from Rellim. Samuel keels over while clutching his midriff. Rellim turns to face his opposition and then takes his adversary’s head under his arm. “The Unmistakable” then picks up his foot and stomps it down before taking Samuel over with a quick Snap Suplex. Samuel arches his back and Rellim shuffles around to a pinning position while hooking the leg. “The Maine Attraction” is out of the pin at an early two. Rellim changes positions to be kneeling over Samuel and then takes him by the back of the head and begins delivering a flurry of punches. As is his job, Sanu steps in, warning Rellim to stop as he continues driving punches down on Samuel. Sanu starts a five-count. By the late fourth count, Rellim lets up and stands up, stopping his attack. The Tennessee crowd is booing admittedly, as they do not support the “Son of God.” Rellim appreciates the hatred and as he’s standing there, slowly raises one first with a smug smirk on his face. This only draws more hatred from the live audience. The returning superstar turns his attention back to his downed adversary. Rellim is in full control and is looking to keep it such. “The Unmistakable” sticks his arm out and bends it at the elbow in a 90-degree angle and then proceeds to drop the point of his elbow precisely on the chest of Samuel. The downed combatant’s limbs fly into the air as the air leaves him. Rellim gets back to his feet, slightly slower than he did at the start of the match, before dropping another elbow on the chest of the favored wrestler. Again, Samuel’s arms and legs fly into the air. Rellim again gets up and drops the elbow one more time before hooking a leg and looking to secure the victory. Samuel is out after the second slap on the mat by Sanu. The crowd cheers seeing the fight from Samuel.

TED CEDAR: “Rellim is a man in control right now and, love him or hate him, he is extremely fluid in the ring and overall he is a ring master!”

Rellim moves right on to his next plan of attack, sitting Samuel into a seated position. The brash wrestler then charges into the ropes and comes charging back at Samuel. Without a single hesitation, “The Unmistakable” drives a hard knee into the face of his adversary. Samuel’s slams backwards onto the mat and immediately turns on his side, clutching his face and kicking in agony. The crowd moans upon impact, as the shot could be heard in the nosebleeds with ease. As Samuel writhes in pain, Rellim gets up to the top rope and faces the crowd. Samuel lays flat on the mat in agony. Rellim takes a moment to taunt the Tennessee crowd while up on the top rope. The crowd lets him know their disdain for him and his antics. Then, Rellim looks behind him briefly before leaping out and attempting a moonsault. Samuel has had enough time to catch his breath and figure out the situation he is in, and quickly rolls out of the way. The returning combatant hits the mat hard and quickly puts his arms around his torso as it took a lot of damage. Both men are groggy, but eager to get the advantage back in the match, so they both fight to a vertical base as quickly as their battered bodies will allow. “The Maine Attraction” is up a little bit earlier then Rellim, so he approaches his dastardly counterpart and begins to drive forearms in to the chest of the returning combatant. With each blow, the 225-pounder backs up a few steps. After a half dozen forearms, Rellim is backed into the corner. The former Intercontinental Champion throws one more forearm to be safe, and all of the limbs of “The Unmistakable” fly into the air. Then, Samuel quickly grabs the forearm of his adversary and sends him into the opposite corner. Without missing a beat, as soon as Rellim arrives in the corner, Samuel charges at his opposition and then leaps into the air squishing Rellim in the corner with a huge Stinger Splash. The crowd goes nuts as the “Son of God” stumbles out of the corner. Samuel goes charging into the ropes as quickly as his battered body will allow, and when he comes running back toward his opposition, he leaps forward and mats the combatant with a shoulder tackle. After landing on the mat, Samuel rolls over onto his back and then proceeds to Kip-Up, much to the delight of the crowd. Greg gets right up close to the camera while smiling.

GREG SAMUEL: “Davey Boy, you’re brother loves me!”

TED CEDAR: “A clear homage to one of the men that trained him, “The Heartbreak Kid” Shawn Michaels! I wonder how David Michaels will take that?”

JOEY MILES: “Are we aloud to talk about that fucker on this show?”

Samuel ducks onto the ring apron and then goes to the top rope. Without wasting a moment, Samuel leaps out and drops an elbow on the chest of the Rellim. “The Unmistakable’s” limbs fly into the air as the point of Samuel’s elbow drives into his chest. “Mr. Match of the Night” hooks a leg of his downed adversary and looks to claim the victory. After a deep two count, Rellim is able to get the shoulder up, keeping the match alive. Samuel’s facial expression tells the whole story, as he thinks what he’s going to need to do to put down the returning superstar. A fatigued Samuel grabs Rellim by the back of the head and uses all his might to get him back to a vertical base. Then, Greg takes the arm of the 225-pound superstar and again irish whips him into the ropes. Rellim comes whipping back towards the former Intercontinental Champion, and before his adversary can dish out any offense, Rellim leaps and counters with a Running Crossbody. Both men are laid out on the mat, clutching their midsections in agony. The crowd is roaring, looking to give Samuel the motivation to get back to a vertical base. Ryu Sanu checks both men before starting a count. 1! Both men show little signs of life, and we very well may see a double count out. 2! 3! Rellim, who was the one to deliver the running crossbody, is the first one to show signs of life, as he inches his way to the ropes. 4! The anticipation is killing the crowd in attendance. 5! Samuel rolls onto his stomach and is showing the fight that the XWA Universe has come to know him for. 6! Rellim has reached the ropes and is beginning to use them. Meanwhile, Samuel has worked his way up to his hands and knees. 7! Rellim is on his feet but bent over while Samuel is kneeled on one knee. 8! Rellim is the first one fully back to a vertical base. The crowd boos loudly, showing their disappointment that the returning superstar is up first. Rellim turns to glare out at the crowd, and return their hatred right back to them. Right before the 9 count, Samuel is back to a vertical base. The Tennessee crowd explodes as Samuel is back to a vertical base. “The Maine Attraction” approaches Rellim, who takes his sweet time to turn around and face his adversary after mocking the crowd. Samuel reaches back and drives a fist forward into the face of Rellim. The hated superstar takes a step back, but then reverses that momentum and turns it into a punch of his own. Samuel stumbles back a step, only to mimic his opposition’s movements, and come back through with another punch. The two go back and forth 3 times, each man taking and administering as much punishment as their battered and bruised bodies will allow. Finally, Samuel seems to be getting an advantage, throwing a handful of punches in a row. Before Greg can capitalize on this advantage, Rellim takes him by the back of the head and drives a knee into his midsection, dropping Samuel to a knee. The crowd boos as they felt that Samuel was on his way to victory.

TED CEDAR: “Samuel was on his way to the victory, I’m sure of it, but then Rellim was able to counter with the only move he could muster up.”

JOEY MILES: “This show is appropriately named Rage because I hate it…”

Rellim backs into the corner and rolls his head back, showing obvious fatigue from this match. After a little rest, “The Unmistakable” approaches his opponent, and pulls him back to his feet before dragging him into the center of the ring. Rellim then swings his adversary arm up over his head, and wraps his own arm around the neck, while using the other arm to grab hold of Samuel’s leg. With a swift motion, Rellim lifts Samuel up and over and slams him back first on the mat with an Exploder Suplex. Samuel’s face shows all the pain that is running through his spine after that hard suplex. Rellim takes a second to lie on the mat and recover before slowly pushing his way back to his feet, slowly. Once arriving at his feet, Rellim looks out at the crowd with a smirk on his face, and slowly raises one arm in the arm, signaling his dominance. The crowd boos viciously at the arrogance of the returning superstar. Meanwhile, Samuel fights his aches and pains and makes his way back to his feet. Little does he know that he may not want to be back up, as when he reaches his feet, Rellim spins him around and locks him in a full nelson. Everyone in the arena knows this is the set up for “The End”. Something triggers in “The Maine Attraction” and he knows he must fight out of this or the match is sure to be over. Using all the strength he can muster, Samuel snaps his upper body forward, causing Rellim to release the hold and go flipping forward. Samuel drops to a knee, as the counter took a lot out of him. Rellim uses the ropes to aid himself back to a vertical base quickly. Greg stands up as “The Unmistakable” does. The 225-pound combatant turns and charges at his adversary, who is ready for him. Samuel stops Rellim’s momentum by wrapping his arms around the brash superstar. The former Intercontinental Champion waists no time to lift his opposition up and slam him down on the mat with a belly-to-belly suplex. After meeting the mat hard, Rellim arches his back in attempt to relieve some pain. Samuel is running on adrenaline at this point, as he hops back to his feet. “Mr. Match of the Night then charges into the ropes before leaping up onto the second rope and then doing a backflip and landing down on his opposition with a Lionsault. Rellim is squished between the mat and the 220-pounder as the Tennessee crowd goes wild. Samuel gets back to his feet and wildly hops around, doing everything he can to keep the crowd excited, as he knows that their excitement is fueling him. Samuel backs into a corner and waits as Rellim slowly approaches his feet. Once “The Unmistakable” is up, Samuel turns his body and gets ready to strike. Rellim takes a few steps toward Samuel, and “The Maine Attraction” takes a few shuffling steps toward him before lifting his leg up and connecting with a hard superkick. The kick has so much impact it sends Rellim into the ropes, and then shooting back at the former World Heavyweight Championship contender. Samuel uses Rellim’s momentum against him and he lifts him up by one leg and then slams him down face first on the mat with a Flapjack.

TED CEDAR: “Samuel is rolling and this crowd is absolutely eating it up! It’s insane the reaction this match can get from a crowd.”

JOEY MILES: “I wish they’d shut the fuck up. I’m trying to listen to this cut scene…”

Rellim clutches his face and kicks around in agony as Samuel gets back to a vertical base. Greg looks out at the crowd, wide-eyed with a big smile on his face. Then, “The Maine Attraction” sticks his right arm out, signaling that it is time to hit the Fatal Attraction. The crowd knows exactly what he is going for and are still cheering for him as loud as they can. Samuel turns around to see his opposition on one knee. Greg helps Rellim back to a vertical base, only to take him into the Fatal Attraction clutch, with his right arm across the shoulders. Samuel quickly snaps backwards, landing on his back and driving Rellim onto his face. Both men show little signs of life after the move. The crowd is going ballistic, as they believe Samuel is well on his way to victory. Samuel slowly maneuvers his way back to his knees. Instead of going for the pinfall, Samuel decides instead to dish out a little more punishment. “The Maine Attraction” takes the right arm of his adversary and locks it in between his legs, and then grabs his right wrist with his left arm and uses them to pull back on the face of his adversary. Rellim is in a great deal of pain, and the Crossface is only adding to the suffering. Before long, the pain is just too much for the brash superstar, who has no choice but to tap out. The crowd goes wild as Ryu calls for the bell.

TED CEDAR: “GREG SAMUEL WINS! HE PULLS OUT THE CROSSFACE AND IS VICTORIOUS IN THIS CONTEST! That is a move I have never seen him use before.”

JOEY MILES: “Woo……Hoo…”

Greg’s theme song plays as he releases the hold and lies out on the mat. It’s obvious this match took a lot out of the fearless competitor.

LAURA WATTS: “Here is your winner, “THE MAINE ATTRACTION” GREG SAMUEL!!!!!”

Sanu helps Greg back to a vertical base before raising his hand in victory. Ryu releases Greg’s wrist and then goes to check on Rellim. Samuel runs over to the corner and gets up on the middle rope and makes a title belt motion around his midsection, claiming that he is headed for gold.
