At E3 2014, Nintendo unveiled Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for Wii U. The GamePad-centric experience is a sequel to 2005’s Kirby: Canvas Curse for the DS.
The Wii U version showcased similar mechanics as the handheld original. You control your little Kirby ball by drawing lines on the GamePad using the stylus. Puzzles are solved in a number of ways, such as tapping on blocks to destroy them or drawing a roof to stop the flow of a waterfall.
The trailer also showcased a number of vehicles that Kirby could transform into, such as tanks, rockets, and submarines. And of course, in true Kirby fashion, the video showed a boss battle against Whispy Woods, that jerk of a tree.
