Breaking News: Destination X To Take Place In New York City

In New York City, everything is larger than life and this embodies TNA’s X-Division, where there are no weight classes and no limits. Today, TNA is happy to announce that Destination X will take place during the June 26 event inside the Grand Ballroom at the Manhattan Center in New York City and will broadcast as a special episode of IMPACT on Spike TV during the summer.

One of the most celebrated divisions in all of pro-wrestling, the X-Division has come to exemplify the meaning of TNA – Total Nonstop Action. The death-defying athleticism of X competitors is something fans have been captivated by since its debut. Every year, Destination X has been the flagship show of the division and, for 2014, we’ve made it even more extreme!

With many surprises in-store for the event, one major question is will Sanada make it to Destination X as the X-Division Champion? If so, will he use Option C to cash in the X-Division Championship for a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship?

Since Option C was created by Austin Aries in 2012, both competitors who held the X-Division Championship have successfully cashed in to capture the TNA World Heavyweight Championship at Destination X.

I'm glad TNA was able to book the actual Ballroom. It looks far more impressive. Hopefully their Destination X special is closer to The Whole F'N Show than a regular episode of Impact.

This is only a good thing. Hopefully it isn't Sanada that cashes in, though, as I can't imagine he'd draw any interest...

I don't think anyone is really expecting a World Title change so I don't see why it can't be Sanada.

Well they'd tried to make it rather controversial/exciting every year. Do the fans really care enough about Sanada?

Even if a title doesn't change hands, the person challenging needs to be someone the fans are going to draw towards, imo.

The only person that really makes any since as a challenger for The World Heavyweight Title in The X-Division is Kenny King. If they're not going to go with him it might as well be Sanada.

I dont want Aries trying to cash it in for a 3rd straight year. That's stupid. The only other people in the X Division worth mentioning are Tigre Uno, Manik and Zema Ion. Sanada would be the logical choice. Plus, after seeing how pisspoor Sabin's run was last year, there can be a cash in and loss.

He isn't the logical choice. Why would they put the main belt on someone not from their company? X-Division title is one thing, as I'm sure he's been in Japan with that belt for a bit now so they get some exposure, but putting the World Title on him for a month tops makes zero sense.

Ian suggested Kenny King in another thread, despite not being anywhere near ready, I'd rather he'd get the shot and lose.

I'd still go with Aries. Gets the fans interested in the show, which is what they need.
