The official Impact Wrestling Twitter account asked its fans an interesting question this weekend – do they prefer a six-sided ring, or a four-sided ring?

How do you prefer your TNA ring? RT for six-sides, FAV for four-sides!

TNA used a six-sided ring for many years as part of their unique branding for Impact Wrestling, up until Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff joined the company in late 2009. The company's head of creative "Big" John Gaburick stated in a recent interview that he "promised" the fans would see the classic six-sided ring back in TNA at some point in the future.

For what it's worth, Twitter followers have "voted" overwhelmingly in favor of the six-sided ring, by a factor of nearly six, somewhat ironically.

They should, in theory, bring it back. It made TNA stand out in that they were the only US company in North America to not use a traditional ring. Granted they got the idea from AAA but still.

Yeah, the 6-sided makes them look so much more unique, they shouldn't have gotten rid of it in the first place.

There are a few things that are bad about the six sided ring. Styles said it was a pain in the ass to bump in.

I never actually cared about the ring. It's neat cause it was different, however if the wrestling is good, it doesn't matter what ring it takes place in. Although their cages were always nice.

Everyone knows rings are square and four-sided. That's why they call them rings.

  

As we reported earlier today, TNA is still considering a return of the six-sided ring. Head of creative "Big" John Gaburick has even gone so far as to "promise" that it will in the future. However, since the company's shift to a more traditional four-sided ring, the vast majority of TNA's six-sided rings have been converted in the process. More than likely they will bring back the gimmick for a One Night Only event, or a special edition of Impact Wrestling, or possibly even a full pay-per-view event. What is not likely is TNA switching back to a six-sided ring on a full time basis.

And speaking of TNA, they recently got rid of about 25% of their office space at the company's corporate headquarters in Nashville, TN. Most of the space was just being used to store all the merchandise from ShopTNA.com, which is now being housed at a separate warehouse facility.

I don't give two shits about what shape it is, but at this point, they need to do anything to start sticking out again.

They could wrestle in a one-sided ring and it wouldn't make any difference until they start utlizing talent, creating compelling storylines and putting a decent product inside that whatever-sided ring.

I can't get over the fact that they named themselves Total Non-Stop Action and yet I watch it several times a year and give up after there have been 2 matches totaling 7 minutes in the first hour or so.

Bring back EVERYTHING that made them stand out. Have the 6-sided ring, thus 6 sides of steel, have the King of the Mountain match headline Slammiversary again, bring back the Ultimate X match with the CABLES and not the steel scaffolds and all that other stuff.

The Ultimate X match looks better with that structure above it, plus it's far more stable for the wrestlers when climbing the cables.

Now that I think about it, don't they use ladders in the Ultimate X, now?

That was one match...and it was utterly retarded.

Right? I want it so that they have no choice but to climb the cables. Last I checked, ladders were banned from that match.

I want order back in TNA, dammit! I want uniqueness again, not them trying to top or match what WWE does every week.
