(1) Randy Orton def. Rob Van Dam. The crowd was split 50/50 between the two babyfaces, and Orton got the win with an RKO after Van Dam missed a frog splash.

-The Miz came out for Miz TV and introduced his guests, Big E Langston and AJ Lee. Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn cut them off. The Miz made a mixed tag team match official for SummerSlam - he's allowed to do that, apparently, because he's the SummerSlam host. Ziggler hit the Zig Zag on Langston, and Kaitlyn left AJ lying with a spear.

(2) Fandango def. Kofi Kingston. This was a rematch from their match on Raw Monday night, and Fandango got the win with a top rope leg drop.

(3) Daniel Bryan def. Wade Barrett, playing off their incident on Raw where Bryan shaved half of Barrett's face. He is now completely clean shaven - doesn't help his career any though.

(4) Kane def. Heath Slater, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre. Despite this being a 3-on-1 handicap match, Kane squashed all of them in less than two minutes. The Wyatt Family did a promo from the screen after the match.

(5) Christian def. Alberto del Rio. This was a non-title match which Christian won with the Unprettier. Here's a free 20-minute match on telelvision - please still buy our pay-per-view for $50 in two weeks though.

-With Alberto del Rio down in the ring still, Damien Sandow hit the ring and tried to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase. Cody Rhodes ran down and came off the top rope with a flying cross body on Sandow to make sure he didn't cash in.

I don't see how it's stupid. They normally always do some kind of match where two guys who are facing off at a PPV face one another before it, normally it's a tag match of some kind, they went with something different and did a singles match, big whup. Plus it makes sense after what happened the previous week on Smackdown. So no, it's not stupid. Plus it gives Christian momentum heading into SummerSlam, don't forget there's one more Smackdown before SummerSlam so it's not like they had it two days before the PPV.

It is stupid cause you're giving the people the match already for free.
Hype up the match..hype up the feud! not give them the match itself and then expect people to buy the PPV and rewatch that match.

I agree with what Teej is saying about it being stupid to put it on free TV. I disagree with him about the part of it won't make people want to buy the PPV. Punk/Lesnar and Cena/Bryan are the main matches on the card, not Del Rio/Christian.

if they add a stip to the match I wouldn't mind it. But if they are facing for the first time, or first time in along time and it's in a title feud...I rather have their first match on a PPV
